- I received a lovely email back in February requesting I make a cover of this enchanting song from the 1961 classic "The Innocents". Off I went to borrow it from the local library and instantly fell in love. This is a story I've seen on stage ("The Turn of the Screw") and it translates beautifully on-screen.
Mind you, I had every intention of making this feel really scary for Halloween - as it's quite spooky in the film - but the more I sang it, the sadder I felt. Even though the story is chilling, it's also steeped in incredible tragedy. ♥ Happy Halloween, friends!

Who’s here because of haunting of bly manor?
"I'm really trying to hone my skills. In Paris i was a sous-chef, so they only really let me chop vegetables."
"She'd leave the door open at night, just a crack, should she ever come back. Waiting for her lover to return."
This cover is splendid. Perfectly splendid, in fact.
You are Hannah Grose. The year is 1987. You're at Bly. Miles is ten, Flora is eight. You are Hannah Grose. The year is 1987, you're at Bly. Miles is ten, Flora is eight. You are Hannah Grose...the year is...you are Hannah...Grose....
I am one of those people who came here after watching The Haunting of Bly Manor teaser ☺
"You are Hannah Grose, the year is 1987, you are at Bly, Miles is 10 Flora is 8. You are Hannah Grose, the year is 1987, Miles is
who’s here from Louxxie’s video?
"I'm actually pretty in love with you, it turns out"
who is here after watching Bly Manor and still cant get over it
She would sleep.
"It's fine if you can't feel anything, then I'll feel everything for both of us."
The gardener said the words she'd heard those years ago, she willed it with everything she had. You, me, us. Us. "Take me with you," she cried in her heart. "Take me, drag me down like you did the other," but the lady in the lake was different now, the lady in the lake was also Dani, and Dani wouldn't, Dani would never. In fact, no one would ever be taken again, and no one has been taken to this day.
This song sounds like the beginning of a Witcher quest.
We lay my love and I beneath the weeping willow.
"I don't want a watered-down drink. I want a real bloody drink! -hits table-" says miles.

My favourite version on RUclips.
The way she walked in disease and madness and sang this in Bly Manor was the moment I knew I luvd this song.
Playing this in our kitchen at midnight while I sip my warm milk.
