  • Tree pruning with MacAllister 20cm electric chainsaw MPS750S-2 and how to assemble the saw and fill with chain oil straight out of the box. Demonstration of cutting Oak branches from a ladder at maximum reach. Tension adjustment of Oregon chain and bar. Low price trade rated Screwfix product worked well for me.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago, never got round to putting it together until today. Very useful since I lost/misplaced the instruction book. All my chopping will be at ground level, so no ladders for me. My friend had the titan brand which I have used before. Also I use a forester helmet for safety. Thanks for posting. P.S The blade can be very hot after use, so wait for it to cool down before touching.

Thanks for watching Stylie. I used the saw for only the second time last week (ideal time before the leaves come on my oak tree) and had forgotten quite how heavy the saw feels when the pole is fully extended. A great piece of DIY kit though and well worth the money I'm sure you'll agreed. ATB b33zo

@@b33zo I used mine this afternoon. It came with a strap to put over your head and arm through and clips onto the pole. Helps to take some of the strain away especially when fully extended. My chain kept coming off, but 3rd time lucky lining up the blue arrow and dident have problems after that. Definitely pays for itself. Paying contractors is a huge expense. Just need to make around 4 trips to the recycling centre :)

@@Stylie99 ha nice work. You'll still be in front even after 6 trips to the recycling center - and you still have the saw!

Thanks for watching Amy. This is a useful tool and you only need to use it a couple of times and it pays for itself. Avoid ladders if you can! b33zo

Your should have adjusted the chain after the first 5 cuts , and using it while up a ladder was sketchy as hell.

My advise is let your wife set it up.

Probably easier to have got your wife to put it together, looked very unsafe up the ladder.

Thanks for watching Richard. The dear lady found some difficulty with handling the saw at the top of the ladder so I had to volunteer..
