- I have begun activities to regenerate trees that have been felled for various reasons.
Sawdust is recycled into building materials such as insulation and soundproofing materials.
In this video, we'll show you a recently acquired large lathe manufactured in 2006.
The manufacturer and part number is VICMARC VL300, an Australian product.
I bought a used item cheaply, but since it is a sturdy machine, there is little damage and it seems that it is still active.
From now on, I will study to make big works.

中古品を安く購入させて頂いた物ですが、丈夫な機械なので傷みも少なく、まだまだ活躍してくれそうです。

We have introduced a coring system for this lathe.
Sawdust and working time are greatly reduced when making bowls.

This is the best lathe I think.

I could not be happier for you! What a great lathe! My friends and I bought a new Vicmarc VL240 with a rotating headstock, and it is the most marvelous machine! Sturdy, no shaking, quiet, powerful, and the rotating head makes it so easy to hollow out bowls. See it on my new RUclips channel at Anduril Designs.
Thank you for your comment as always!🙇🇯🇵 I think the VL240 is a great lathe. I got an inverter and a magnetic switch, which was made in 2006. However, it is used very infrequently because it is located away from home. I want to install it at home!

we love our VICMARC lathes here downunder ,we call that model the stubby lathe we also use an oval attatchement which makes for very interesting turning.
I think it is the best manufacturer in the world as a comprehensive force! I was able to buy it very cheap because Wood Turner in Japan retired. However, because I'm away from home, it's not working as expected. If I start working as a wood turner in the future, I use VICMARC.

It rotates up to a maximum diameter of 60 cm. The width of the bed was 18.5 cm.

Did you ever try making a chip and dip bowl? It should look like a normal bowl but there is a small bowl in the middle for the dip.

My teacher was a member of the Japan Woodworking Lathe Association.
The chairman there had about 15 machines, so he gave me an old one cheaply. I was very lucky.

If you buy a new one, I think it's over $ 6000.
