6:39 I love the no pattern/no design coming projects ❤ I’m in a similar stage as well, just making simple things for enjoyment.

Its great to be original and creative. I knit & crochet. I prefer knitting because it's finer and uses less yarn. I learned much from patterns & zoom courses to make a few cardigans and tops. Enough to go further on any Ravelry knit. I used to sew and learned from mom as well in school. That was last done 30 years ago! I recently gave my girl my machine and bought a new one for myself. I joined as well a sewing course that teaches pattern making and styling as well before the sewing steps. I am on my 3rd class of 14. I highly recommend investing in something you love to do. And learn & frog till you understand it. It takes time and experience. Goodluck. It is Fun.

I would definitely like to seek out some classes in the near future!

Hear you! In the past, I made a thing (knit) that could only be tried on when shaping etc was complete. Frogged many times, adding adjustments… No. More.
I’ll make a top or sweater w a true pattern, modifying after to suit.
Can’t help you with sewing. Perhaps a nearby fabric shop has classes?
I really like the tank tops! I plan on knitting a top/camisole or two (well… have yarn + pattern ready…)
My problem: I’m mentally modifying the pattern BEFORE I’ve made the thing. Sheesh! Because fingering weight, bottom up (so no trying on til done, boo-hoo), and maybe I’ll crochet a top, much faster! But, that gauge & size bit … sigh
Keep trying allll the things that make you happy! Eventually you’ll get the sewing figured out!
I bounce between knit and crochet when those frustrating “oopsies” or “ugh” fit issues crop up. Knit issue? Crochet a tote or basket.
Anywho, good luck & be sure to have fun!

There are definitely more easy to try on and modify constructions, but sometimes a special stitch calls for a special amount of...pain in the butt in the making 🤷😂🤦

Just cut your daughter some PJ pants from the fabric in the dysfunctional pants. The PJ pants are fine! Nice work! Keep going!!
Sorry the crochet designing is so frustrating right now. Hope some patience and motivation come your way!! Take a breath and take care!

Dysfunctional indeed 😂 I'm pondering long and hard on how to salvage them for me but that may definitely be an option!
