I had a hell of a time beating this game. Turns out if you take a Z06 Corvette, tune it for 100% acceleration, and manage to fight your way through the lap race, you'll outrun Darius at the beginning of the drift segment.
I saw the thumbnail I saw a car drifting I waited a few seconds unimpressed, thinking how disappointed id be if i DIDNT hear deja vu I hear it I like Im sure others did this too
Your lines are fantastic when you're ahead, the only thing I would work on is getting the inside track on the corners. I don't know how accurate the game mechanics are, but keeping the inside will shave time off even if you lose in the straights. I like that you got that last guy on the wide C, that was picture perfect!!
Takes a while to get used to it but once you do, you have a lot more control over your car. It becomes second nature after a while. Plus you can take advantage of the clutch and use the clutch kicking technique for drifting, and you can maintain the momentum from jumps by holding in the clutch and letting go when you land. You can risk braking later as well being able to downshift at a whim. Sometimes you don't even need to brake. Just downshift, and benefit from the increased turning ability. The game even indicates the optimal RPM range to shift up in so it takes out a lot of the guesswork.
