BillyBoBaggin His point is valid though. What's the point of fighting or doing things in your various forms if it doesn't do anything for you? If you don't gain any experience, there's no reason to use the druid overhaul anyways outside of dicking around.

Now every school has a selection of offensive spells.
Bethesda is a great company but i really wish they'd put little more time into thinking about stuff like this....I mean come on ,If people who aren't even paid to work on the game can do a better job than you then something is wrong.

No matter how extensively a developer improves the minute details of their game, a thriving modding community will always do better. Vanilla skyrim is a pretty great game, with mods it just gets better. It's also a pretty huge game, so to expect the attention to detail that a modded skyrim provides in the base game is just unrealistic. If you wanted this level of extrapolation in every system in the game it would take decades to develop.

Its because they dont have the amount of time the community has, or the manpower. or as large of a test input.

I know people here have problem with keeping lydia alive or needing to restart when she dies. If she's dead, find her body, select it and type in "resurrect" into the console. She'll come back to life. To keep her alive, select her and type "setessential 1" so if she gets hurt, she falls to her knees. You could also do it with 0 to make knee falling characters die, but be careful, Bethesda probably made them immortal for a reason... However, when you finish the quest they're needed for, ex. when you poison the mead and Commander Caicus drinks it, I don't believe he dies, but you can feel free to decapitate him after that. :D More cool console commands below, (I wrote them down on a notebook cause these are the best) tgm - god mode tcl - noclip unlock - point at anything and type this in to unlock it psb - every spell in the game player.additem 0000000f # - add any amount of gold tdetect - toggle detection. Does not work with pickpocketing but everything else does. Kill, steal, assault freely kill - point at something, type it in. It falls over in a very dead fashion. coc qasmoke - brings you to a room with EVERY item in the game. Take all the daedrics, my friends addtofaction 00019809 - point it at someone and be able to marry them instantly. (Yes, it works with boys) Disable - Use it at your own risk. Sends who you type it at to a technological Limbo. (I'm copy+pasting this everywhere to help noobs looking at tutorials)

Empowered Magic is the one I use all the time. www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11139/? It doesn't really add new spells to the game, but it is a magic overhaul that also changes the perk trees. It radically changes how every spell in the game works, making them all more useful and fun. It also brings back magic scaling, so that as your magic skills go up in the level, you're magic gets more powerful. My favorite parts of the mod are: each master level perk grants passive powers conjure familiar spells lasts 1 day and shares abilities with caster. As you pick different perks in the magic skill trees, it will give your conjured familiar new abilities.
You guys did a great job with this. Some of these had been full of bugs when I tried them a while ago. With so many great new mods it's impossible for me to keep up with old ones that have been fixed and updated, which is where you come in. :)
Your probably saving it for next year, but I'd love a stealth compilation video, for stealth playthroughs. Sneak Tools, that one that redoes some thief skill trees... and so on.

im surprised there isnt any spell animation mods, the spell animations in the vanilla game look so goofy and unimpressive that i literally cannot do a spell based playthrough without new animations but thats just me

Killith Sensei I was considering using that. As far as I know there's no other way to change the color of your spells, but I'm already running Apocalypse and Lost Grimoire. I don't want the loot table overflowing with spell (this mod adds about three hundred) and I really only want it so I can use green fire destruction spells, and maybe a summon.
Witchhunter Spells and Prayers Pack www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53751/? Basically, temporary enchantments. Want to shoot an arrow with a frost enchantment? Go ahead, then when the duration runs out shoot an arrow with the fire enchantment. As long as the weapon has no enchantments prior, you can use it. You get XP for the school you're using (In combat) The modder worked hard on this and I think it deserves at the very least a look at.
I second the endorsement for Witchhunter Spells and Prayers Pack. It's a great way to set a divine caster apart from a mage. Tying the spells to the powers "Z" key makes the spells feel like they are granted by the Divines, as opposed to spells being cast by a wizard. I just did a playthrough using this with SmartCast and it worked amazingly well.
I was playing through the skyrim civil war whilst watching this and had just liberated dawnstar and was getting my reward. tulluis: you've done a great service by recapturing the pale I'm raising you to the rank of praefect. Here take this BLADE as a reward. then I look in the top left hand corner of the screen and it said " dwarven shield added" I face palmed so hard my hand came out the other side of my head.
Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else find calling Skyrim without mods "vanilla" fucking insulting as shit. I mean, Skyrim is a great game with a ton of great content. To call it vanilla seems to act like the game is somehow bad without mods, which it isn't.
Wrath of Nature - Path of a Druid now has a follow up mod Called Wrath of Nature - Champion of Kynareth that continues the quest line from the original mod once you've acquired the first 4 transformations from Path of a Druid. upto 4 addition new forms can be gained from Champion of Kynareth - there's much more features to it then this; but i'll leave that upto the curious to check it out for yourself.
So the modder who made the fire and ice overhaul has made the mod private. His reasons? Well I'll just put the word for word of what he put. The reason given by the author is: All of my mods are hidden until November 9. #BlackLivesMatter #LGBTRights #TransIsBeautiful #RefugeesWelcome #OccupyWallStreet #YesAllWomen and... #ImWithHer I don't even know why any of these hashtags are here, but apparently they made the modder remove his mods until Nov. 9th.

There's a fun one on Nexus Mods called Macromancy. It adds a set of spells that allow you to change your size or the size of others. You can't get bigger right away though; you actually have to absorb the size of other people, which adds a fun mechanic to the game. It lets you be tiny, a few feet taller, or Godzilla-sized in Skyrim.
there was a very nice mod on steam called Lost Magic. there are two parts and it adds magic for the elements: Water, Earth and air. i thought it was nice even though they aren't supper powerful they have some helpful extra effects besides just damage.

I don't want the loot table overflowing with spell (this mod adds about three hundred) and I really only want it so I can use green fire destruction spells, and maybe a summon.

Basically, temporary enchantments. Want to shoot an arrow with a frost enchantment? Go ahead, then when the duration runs out shoot an arrow with the fire enchantment. As long as the weapon has no enchantments prior, you can use it.
You get XP for the school you're using (In combat)
The modder worked hard on this and I think it deserves at the very least a look at.
I second the endorsement for Witchhunter Spells and Prayers Pack. It's a great way to set a divine caster apart from a mage. Tying the spells to the powers "Z" key makes the spells feel like they are granted by the Divines, as opposed to spells being cast by a wizard. I just did a playthrough using this with SmartCast and it worked amazingly well.
I wish someone made a mod for a teleport spell, one that u could cast on the ground some distance away. Also a levitate spell would be cool

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else find calling Skyrim without mods "vanilla" fucking insulting as shit. I mean, Skyrim is a great game with a ton of great content. To call it vanilla seems to act like the game is somehow bad without mods, which it isn't.

Wrath of Nature - Path of a Druid now has a follow up mod Called Wrath of Nature - Champion of Kynareth that continues the quest line from the original mod once you've acquired the first 4 transformations from Path of a Druid. upto 4 addition new forms can be gained from Champion of Kynareth - there's much more features to it then this; but i'll leave that upto the curious to check it out for yourself.

Colorful magic spell and weapon mod deserves some love
The Way of the Force is pretty good. Especially fun when roleplaying the Emperor with black robes and double Force Lightning.
There's a fun one on Nexus Mods called Macromancy. It adds a set of spells that allow you to change your size or the size of others. You can't get bigger right away though; you actually have to absorb the size of other people, which adds a fun mechanic to the game. It lets you be tiny, a few feet taller, or Godzilla-sized in Skyrim.
fire and ice mod + sub zero armor set = fucking cosplay
there was a very nice mod on steam called Lost Magic. there are two parts and it adds magic for the elements: Water, Earth and air. i thought it was nice even though they aren't supper powerful they have some helpful extra effects besides just damage.
Magic of the Reach is also a good spell pack for Druids.
