  • Is your carburetor leaking? In this video, we will answer the question of how to fix your leaking carburetor. In most cases, it is going to be one of a few causes of a leaking carburetor. Those causes include the float needle, and float needle seat, a leaking float, a bad or pinched seal or gasket, improper float needle preload, or a crack or leak somewhere in the fuel system near the carburetor. This applies to all carburetors. In this video, we are using a Mikuni Round Slide Carburetor. The Mikuni VM Series round slide carburetors (VM24, VM34, VM38, VM40, VM44, etc) are commonly used on motorcycles, dirt bikes and snowmobiles. We will also look at Keihin and Walbro carburetors.
After this video, you should be able to stop the leak in your carburetor easily, at home!
