Congratulations for the day of many firsts! I think that the entertainment screen showing passenger's name is a great idea, I've only seen it in business class and first class.
First to pull out a fifth freedom route was Air France (SIN-CGK), next was Lufthansa (KUL-CGK), later, it was Hainan Airlines (EDI-DUB), and now it's Air New Zealand (LHR-LAX)
As you can see in my channel, I never was in New Zealand yet! I hear so often good things about Air New Zealand, are they really good? LIKE for your report!
I will be travelling this airline in May from Los Angeles to London super excited and a bit nervous first time flying on my own overseas. I’m in economy class I heard they had a good economy class. Is there WiFi some reviews says there’s no WiFi will have my iPad so might need to download some movies and tv episodes to watch if the IFE has no good offerings in May
Mysticlover Fairy the aircraft are slowly being fitted with wifi capability so you may or may not be flying on a fitted aircraft...good news is if you do have wifi AirNz DOS NOT CHARGE for wifi...yup you heard right: they do not charge,!
Mysticlover Fairy The particular aircraft I was on did indeed have inflight WiFi. What I found amazing was that you could connect for FREE and browse the internet/social media (as I did, and kept my instagram followers up to speed) all for free. ANZ states that you shouldn’t use the WiFi for streaming videos, however Paul Lucas did so, with no issues at all. Go check out his videos as well! Have a good trip next month!
I flew this route every year, except 2020 because of the pandemic. I always fly from LAX to Auckland. These are all the liveries I have been on. 2008-2015 Teal Livery, 2016 Hobbit livery, 2016 - now silver fern livery. On short haul fleet I go on the A320s. But long haul fleet I always go on the 777 300ers. The 777 300ers are my favorite type of planes. Nice video.
@@metalgamerworld1784 Air new zealand used its b747 until what year??? And now from lax to auckland which airplane are they using??? B777 or 787?...Greetings from Venezuela!
I had to comment on this funny coincidence. I've booked my flight and hoped to get a glimpse of my chosen seat in your video and funnily enough, you're in the exact seat that I have booked! Great video, I'm looking forward to flying with AIR NZ for the first time!
Joeys Bestfriend A US citizen may enter New Zealand for a certain amount of days (unaware of number), and will be granted access to the country with proof of a return ticket to the US. New Zealand also as acético Bio-Security laws, so any item of nature (dirt, seeds, plants, bugs) will not be allowed into the country. Be sure to clean all shoes and outdoors equipment before embarking on your journey to one of the most beautiful countries in the world!
Great report, Aidan. Thanks. 1:09 Seat 9K - Shorts, I have no problem with, but, good grief, barefoot too, in J. What a view; luckily it's a night flight. This is a major disadvantage of this style of flawed herringbone seat. Another is the lack of privacy.
When I am on a plane it feels like nothing is moving but when you look outside it is moving
Amazing video, I flew NZ2 and I left satisfied, my name is also Aidan!
Love this video. AirNew Zealand my favourite airline hands down!

Thanks for the vid. Just booked my flight and this seems like a very accurate representation

The food in economy on Air New Zealand is way better than those U.S carriers & much better than what Qantas offers!,awesome trip report dude👍
Might fly the same route from IAD-LAX-New Zealand (etc..), how were the connections?
SpaceManJoe The walk from T6 to TBIT was a little long

FlyTravelXpert the best you can get ;)
Sorry last minute, my headphones just broke. Do air NZ provide a headset or do I have to do a last minute department store trip.
I thought you booked the Skycouch? That's the main reason I watched.🙁 Did you pay extra for that seat?
Great Tripreport! Looking forward to fly AirNZ too in the future :)
My wife and I are taking this flight in Feb28th. Nice to see what this flight has. Nicely detailed.
Can you connect headphones to usb port

Great video!!! Please, don’t erase it never, never.
Beware these seats are super tight!
Last time I flew that route I pretty much just fell asleep after dinner 😂
The design looks nice but the food doesn't looks very impressive to be honest

Aviation Aidan thanks for the info
I'll be taking my first flight on this route with ANZ on Feb 28th. I have been told that Kiwi hospitality has no match. I look forward to it.
I live in NZ. I haven't traveled much but I think you're right!
