I'm a beginner so I love that you give us the name of the exact yarn type, amount & color plus the size hook needed to duplicate your beautiful crochet pieces. They are gorgeous!!!!
Hi Lauren, Although you have color stripes in yours, I’ve been wanting a pattern to do in a solid color to show off the stitch. I just received my order of the new Caron Simply Me yarn. It’s a light #5. It has a pretty sheen and soft on the hands but still has body. It looks beautiful in this stitch! I ordered it specifically. I’m so glad I did! 😊Thank you!🐝
My blanket is about 37x42. I used approximately 1070 yards of #5 bulky weight yarn. Mochi (495 yd/4 skeins) Kiwi (345 yd/3 skeins) Apricot (230 yd/2 skeins) The written pattern includes 10 sizes. You can find the free pattern here: daisycottagedesigns.net/chunky-crochet-blanket-pattern/ I include yarn amounts for each size!
@@DaisyCottageDesigns I am so sorry that I asked that question before looking at the pattern. I was looking at it on my phone last night & didn't see the whole pattern. Anyway, thanks for answering. I have made several of your blanket patterns and your instructions are always so easy to follow. The colors in this blanket are so pretty! I've never used that yarn before, but I may have to buy some.
When making blankets it really doesn’t matter how many chains , it’s for the width you want. You can always add or take out the extra chains to accommodate the stitch pattern.

Hi, what’s the border you’ve done on it please ?

Are you chaining 2 every time you change rows😢
I did, but you can do whatever method you like for turning while using double crochets.
Do you have to use chunky yarn for this pattern?
No, you don’t! But if you don’t, the measurements and yarn yardages will be different
Okay,thanks
How many yards of #4 weight yard do I need for this pattern?
❤❤💜💜💚💚
Love the blanket. What amount of chains do you suggest with #4 yarn

Hmm. I'd probably start with 135 or so.
