@@Lobbyjoiner69 i can do it. I know a few drummers that can as well. That said, it took a long time to learn that. It's a very skill heavy technique, and even i still have trouble with it. Anything is possible if you are willing to put your body, mind, heart, and soul into it.
2:37 That look of strain "FIRE EVERYTHING!" face is one you only get when you absolutely push yourself to the max. Everything about his body language says that he's turning it up to 11 for that fast of double bass. Just look at him and you can see he isnt bullshitting.
I don't want to be a cock and spoil you girls' dreams here, but the technique he's using is called gravity blasting, means holding your stick dead center and letting recoil do all the work. Hence the 'gravity'.
Also everyone is so blown away by his simple gravity blast lol. Is everyone ignoring the rest of the playthrough? He does a lot harder and more technical things than the grav blast hah!
gravity blasts are certainly easier than they look and sound once you get the hang of them, but it’s not like they’re super easy either. professional or not, gravity blasts that fast are still impressive and always will be, at least to me.
nah its too fast, Mick Gordon wrote a 264 bpm when it was in early development, but it ended up annoying the play testers, he talks about it in one of his streams
It' impossible to get a significant punch going those speeds without triggers. I use to hate triggers but I get it now. Try doing what he is doing with and without triggers. I bet you can't either way. I'll be the first one to admit that I can't, yet. Playing with triggers doesn't necessarily make it that much easier. You have to be precise. Acoustically you can get way with super fast sloppy double bass because either it will be inaudible or it will sound like a rumble. Triggers call you out. If you are not precise, it will be heard and definitely noticed. I used to be anti- trigger until I played a triggered kit and sucked ass. I got a ways to go myself but I'm getting there. This guy is pretty fucking good I must say.
The idea is that triggers can be used to fix imbalances in sound caused by dominance of one foot over the other, it's why they stress getting same stick height when you practice your rudiments. Triggers can be used to compensate for that weakness by masking the sound imbalance caused by a foot that doesn't strike as hard as the other.

swedmag666 he’s really good but percussion is a lot more than speed. Yeah speed is impressive but, there is a lot more
Grammar Police skill-wise there isn’t actually that much more to show how good you are imo, apart from speed I’d say complicated rhythms and time signatures are kind of it for skill. Creativity and originality are a whole different story though.
Nalon Le Fournis being able to hit any accents, hand control, dynamics, foot control, keeping intensity the same with a softer dynamic. There is a lot but still very impressive performance from Aaron I love his work
2:30 me after searching 13 minutes for that perfect video ;)

Feel bad for all the kids that got kicked out of school for just saying what their favorite song is.
My teacher got genuinely concerned when I told him that my favorite song is called 'vomiting bloody pieces of undigested body'
Sickest drummer of all time, straight up. Absolutely insane.

3:14 the way herolls out of this upcoming gravity blast is nuts 3:54
I feel so sad because this band isn't known by people outside of deathcore! This band is amazing and Aaron is an amazing drummer and people will never know...SOOOO Underrated :((
'under rated' despite the fact this has a million views...
Yes, because everyone who listen to deathcore/metalcore knows about this band, but not outside of these genres.
SaintPuppet[S] i dont like deathcore/metalcore and i know about this guy :)
I really am not a fan of this type music either... lol i literally came across this play through because i saw "infant annhilator" on the side of my screen and was like what the fuck. But this guy is an absolute monster on drums. Hes great! I wish i possessed this dudes speed lol
Dj King Well. Most metal/hardcore is underrated, simply because the majority of the population cannot appreciate the complexity, the harsh vocals, or lyrical complexity.
I love how Infant Annihilator is unrealisticly fast and Black Tongue is extremely slow. The opposites on the spectrum of br00tality.
You dont know slow until you listek sunn o))))
3:57 I’m sorry, WHAT?!?!??!
That's known as a gravity blast or the freehand technique
yep... me too.!!
jo seriously......... how the fknhell is this even possible
@@Lobbyjoiner69 i can do it. I know a few drummers that can as well. That said, it took a long time to learn that. It's a very skill heavy technique, and even i still have trouble with it. Anything is possible if you are willing to put your body, mind, heart, and soul into it.
Julian Hirsch gravity pushes the stick down to hit the drum, lifting it pushes it off the rim hitting again, and so forth
I would sell my soul to see this band Live
2:37 That look of strain "FIRE EVERYTHING!" face is one you only get when you absolutely push yourself to the max. Everything about his body language says that he's turning it up to 11 for that fast of double bass. Just look at him and you can see he isnt bullshitting.
That's some drumming 🎵🥁🎵😁👍
No matter how good the comment is.
Checkmark - gets likes.
Cool seeing you over here 👍
I love trains
It's fake
@@MalictumMust’ve been the air whose hitting the drums, was it?
2:30 are you psycho?
TheGreekCommando dude I keep having to watch that part over and over... the fucking speed tho! I'm 100% positive this dudes a super hero
ahahahahahahaha I swear to god that moment is terribly haunting ... he's simply from another planet ...
I don't want to be a cock and spoil you girls' dreams here, but the technique he's using is called gravity blasting, means holding your stick dead center and letting recoil do all the work. Hence the 'gravity'.
@@krisseghers9273 Dude, I'm a drummer, I've seen gravity blasts, most professional drummers still can't do it this fast and precisely. So yeah.
Its called a gravity blast, and he isn't the first person to do it.
I love the bloopers at the end 😁 "what you doing James you dropped your keys on mah drums!" 😆 🤣 😂
He's penetrating my mind with blast beats, I can't even hear my thoughts anymore.
Also everyone is so blown away by his simple gravity blast lol. Is everyone ignoring the rest of the playthrough? He does a lot harder and more technical things than the grav blast hah!
It's probs only cause most people haven't really seen or heard gravity blasts before
Grav blast themselves are really hard.
“Simple gravity blast”
gravity blasts are certainly easier than they look and sound once you get the hang of them, but it’s not like they’re super easy either. professional or not, gravity blasts that fast are still impressive and always will be, at least to me.
nah they arent that hard. I mean I can do it and i dont play drums
This would be so good in doom eternal
RIGHT!!
Just plug this in while you play
@@MWebster25 yeah
nah its too fast, Mick Gordon wrote a 264 bpm when it was in early development, but it ended up annoying the play testers, he talks about it in one of his streams
Agree
The breakdown at 2:06 is soooo awesome. Music to my ears! 🤘😈🤘😈
Dad: What are your intentions with my daughter ?

Gravity underrated comment lmao
Gravity true af
fuck yes blasting her at full speed for a total of 7 seconds :)
I've read this comment more then I've watched this video...
you want to play the drums with her. I think that's noble.
Thats it. Thats the end of drums. He wins.
Thanks dude
The idea is that triggers can be used to fix imbalances in sound caused by dominance of one foot over the other, it's why they stress getting same stick height when you practice your rudiments. Triggers can be used to compensate for that weakness by masking the sound imbalance caused by a foot that doesn't strike as hard as the other.
Eric Essertaize So wrong.
Ryan J What is wrong exactly?
Actually it is ''humanly'' possible to go that fast at drums, but I'm pretty sure that takes ALOT of practice.
even if you don't listen to the genre... you have to respect the amount of skill this takes. 🤘
