These guys have a perfect and complete understanding of what heaviness is, and I've enjoyed listening to that understanding evolve with each record. Much more so does the tone of the guitar, the notes played, and the writing affect the level of heaviness than the tempo does. Even though that may seem like common sense, very few musicians understand and actually execute those aspects properly.

So I really dug the album when it came out, but for the last four months or so I've been listening to the entire album at least 5 times a week. Instrumentation is killer, and I just can't get over all of Dickey's crazy voices. I've never wanted to learn another screamers style more than now, and he just happens to be the hardest fucking person to emulate! I started listing my favorite sections and realized it was basically the whole album - Absolute masterpiece guys!

@@sexystylejamo they could get the dude who animated Blasphemian to make a vid for Thy Kingdom Sitteth, in the same Artstyle. Count it as a sequel to that vid.
I just love everything about this album. Everything feels like an evolved step up from The EGG and it delivers a uniquely crushing sound like only these sexy bois can. I particularly love how the guitars sound like Black Tongue’s last album in a lot of parts, it really compliments the new slammier sound. 10/10
0 dislikes. Fuck to the yes. This album is incredible. The innovation on each album is insane. I’m so happy this band didn’t just decide to be like any other deathcore band. There are elements or black metal, deathcore, death metal, grind, slam, etc. AI has so much respect from me. The song writing is complex yet it still has structure and is memorable. Dickie’s vocals just keep getting more filthy. I adore the new vocal techniques you’re trying. They add so much depth to the music! Eddie’s guitar/bass playing is insane as always. However, I hear new styles and melodies that add a cool new layer to the music. And holy fuck, AARON, my boi, that drumming! So fast (as expected) but I hear new patterns and intricate fills. (Sorry I don’t know much about drum playing) And the production, oh the production. I couldn’t be happier with the mix. Nothing stands out as “oh, could use more blank or less blank.” Everything is perfect. I expect nothing less from this behemoth of a band. INFANT ANNIHILATOR FOREVER.
I know people always joke about "this ruined me for xyz" but this album is actually killing everything for me!!! Skipping the times I listened to the whole album more than once a day, I'm probably sitting at a respectable 140 playthroughs.
There is sou much motivic development in this album, ahnd it maykes me sou happy. Most metal is just blocky writing riff diarrhea with some riffs that maybe sound coul together, but might not have a whole lot to do with one another. This album I feel bridges the gap between how Classical(Romantic) music such as Beethoven approaches motivic development, and how modern metal is today. For example(s): --9:28 Great descending chug riff that is broken down with some space/tremelo at 9:51-10:03. --8:08-8:26 Chuggy madness at fast tempo, then slows it down. 11:12 - 11:31 it's back at about the last tempo is was at before. A new major chord sounding texture we haven't heard in the piece yet,,,then it's back, and grosser than ever ahnd with every hit accented. 11:50 -12:09 --17:51 The 16th note motiv that is the main juice of the Feast tune starts off disorientingly, 17:58 - purely accenting every 16th note. 18:04 starts to break up the accented 16th noteness into something new 18:14 with the tremelo guitar riff as the 16th note bit is present but now utilized with the new tremelo bit. Then 18:25 we hear the descending choppy que from the beginning again, and hear the accented 16th note chuggyness again, but now fused with the tremelo bit from before. --36:37 The tremelo with two chugs motive begins, but it isn't uber consistent yet, 36:42 it's now accented and consistent with some tritones. 36:50 now in full force down low in a hard groove along with speedy double bass. Alright I'll stawp there. This album may be one of my favorites ever, if not my most favorite ever. Sou much greait composition, production, and performances, and a special brand of humor at the core of the band. It's everything I would want in a metal band at this time in my life, so thaynks a bunch Infant Annihilator l:)
Initially, I was listening to IA songs to cover background noises when I was studying. Then, I started to understand what happens in the songs. Now it’s been my fav band since 2018 and I haven’t heard anything close to their style, humor and level of composition. I’m literally glad to be alive to witness those masterpieces. ❤
Insanely heavy and technical. Also having Trevor Strnad on here is a real treat. It would have been awesome to see him with you guys at a live event. "The corrupted accepted corruption and became their own destruction." That line hits hard knowing the state of things right now and in years/decades past.
7:05 that breakdown is like the most terrifying bout of diarrhea you ever had in your life, a furious storm of turd nuggets and shit water globules flying in every direction at a pace so erratic, for a moment, you forgot where you were and what you were doing, and then you had to call the firemen to take the ruins of the entire bathroom away.
Purely a musical (non lyrical) interpretation: 50:18--getting mad at nightmares; 50:41--sneaking about in the shadows, with periodic jump scares such as at 50:51; 51:02--slowly figuring out where you are (could be wrong).
Say what I will about whatever about this band? They don't promote the alternative uses for Cheeseburgers enough. They need to do more. I said my peace. You told me to.

This is not car music. What if I can't resist headbanging and I crash?
*"Submerged and staring at the sky, with a glimmer of lust in my eye..."*
Damn that's oddly beautiful.
17:44 wtf was that? Hahaha
Never heard a vocalist make that noise, was laughing so hard the first time I heard it.
Dickie said they were drinking beer when recording and during that line he had a burp. They thought it fit with the lyrical content of the song so they kept it.
@@ZZ-os4nb I thought they did it on purpose because it fits so perfectly to the theme of this song. So happy they kept it.
it sounded like it glitched out :D

Could you imagine the pit if they played....fetuses throwing everywhere the pit would just be so brutal
The pit would become mortal fucking Kombat.
Nicholas Fernandez it’s hard enough just for me to imagine IA live 😂
I would just lay down and accept my trampling
14:42 loop that riff and I'll retire, the album was worth the 3 year wait... but that riff though. Gives me chubbies.
Its funny how people say this type of music sounds like an epic orc battle then this band releases a concept album about an epic fantasy orc battle hahahahaha that's why this band is so great
Thanks for the stream guys, I don't really have enough cash atm to buy the CD but this will get me through until I do. Love you guys.

Maaaaan, would really like to see Aaron do some actual drum play throughs from this album.... was kind of a let down when he mentioned writing and recording literally everything off a drum program for this record in their live interview.

Didnt think the egg could be topped but I've never been so happy to be wrong
So I really dug the album when it came out, but for the last four months or so I've been listening to the entire album at least 5 times a week. Instrumentation is killer, and I just can't get over all of Dickey's crazy voices. I've never wanted to learn another screamers style more than now, and he just happens to be the hardest fucking person to emulate!
I started listing my favorite sections and realized it was basically the whole album - Absolute masterpiece guys!
Yo. I've been having a few beers and smoking some weed tonight. I've listened to this album many times, and as guy whos been listening to metal for quite awhile, this is easily one of the best albums ever made.
thanks for telling us you're inebriated, we all really care and it totally added to your comment!!

I'm pretty sure they used the same drum samples and guitar tones as the ones used on Nadir, it literally has the exact same production quality.
then 50:40 hits and everything gets better

Kevin Sundelin that’s a real thing my guy
@@kevinsundelin8639 Electronic and acoustic drums are different. IA has used electronic drums since day one which uses samples.
Thanks so much for the lyrics! I'll refrain from reading them and remain blissfully unaware of most of the wonderful things they're saying.
INFANT ANNIHILATOR FOREVER.
another exciting aspect is that they’re expanding the lore! the lyrics here a re fucking great!
And now there's dislikes. That's what you get for saying gay shit like "fuck to the yes".
50 heads for target practice.
behemoth of a band' - I've just recognized some Behemoth riff at the begin, when I read this lol
I know people always joke about "this ruined me for xyz" but this album is actually killing everything for me!!!
Skipping the times I listened to the whole album more than once a day, I'm probably sitting at a respectable 140 playthroughs.
Usually I play this on my headset so I can't hear my family fighting.

I'm so sorry, are u ok??
This is so sad.
I never thought I'd make it through an IA album front to back in one shot, but here we are. This album is amazing and flawless and I love it. 🤘
For example(s):
--9:28 Great descending chug riff that is broken down with some space/tremelo at 9:51-10:03.
--17:51 The 16th note motiv that is the main juice of the Feast tune starts off disorientingly, 17:58 - purely accenting every 16th note.

"The corrupted accepted corruption and became their own destruction."
That line hits hard knowing the state of things right now and in years/decades past.

Purely a musical (non lyrical) interpretation:
50:18--getting mad at nightmares; 50:41--sneaking about in the shadows, with periodic jump scares such as at 50:51; 51:02--slowly figuring out where you are (could be wrong).
The burp at the end makes this album truly complete ♡
