The first time Meiko (is my 17 months old daughter) fed the dogs, she got very excited (screaming, shaking and laughing) and every time she does it, she makes it happy and eager. So it is clear that for them chore are exciting and something that they enjoy.

I am currently pregnant and am torn in whether to speak only Spanish at home and she could learn English at school or teach her English first then introduce Spanish. I'm just worried she won't be able to communicate and have a hard time at school not knowing English 😕

Hazie, I just stumbled upon your channel from watching the Happa Family, and I love your content. I have one question: As an engineer, I like learning the WHY, not just the WHAT. It would be amazing if you could make a video describing the Montessori method and why you chose to adopt it in your home. What makes Montessori special? what fruits have you been seeing with your child? Any book recommendations? Your child seems very content, well-mannered, and peaceful---as with many Montessori children. So clearly it is working in your home! Keep up the amazing and educational content!

@@hazieandmotherhood I've taught in schools, centers, and now a Montessori school here in Asia. The difference is like night and day with children, especially my own. I see the other children who have traditional parents and more progressive parents. I see the children who have nanny ipad or daddy samsung as their primary source of entertainment outside of my class. I wished I had this as a kid, I'm happy I can provide this opportunity now for the children at my school.

These are great ideas! Keep it up, you're doing an excellent job. Just one thing I would avoid is calling the smaller bugs the baby version unless they are ones that do not pupate as this may be something that needs to be corrected later when they think a baby butterfly is just a smaller version of a larger butterfly. I would just say big and small to avoid this potential confusion.

Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing. Can you please share more tips and experience about teaching your toddler second language? I speak Vietnamese with my son and my husband speaks English. We read books in English ( We don’t have books in Vietnamese). So, my son speaks some words in Vietnamese and some in English. I feel like he is confused and he is quite late in speaking. He is 20 months now and he just speaks some words. :(

Its actually quite normal for bilingual childeren to use both languages together at the same time (eg. some words from one language and some words from another in the same sentence) and will straighten itself out aus they grow older.

My baby turned one in October, and as of now she can literally say 96 words. Is that normal? Sometimes I’m worried that I have rushed something. She literally understands so much, and just keeps wanting to learn words and points at stuff for me to tell her. When I exaggerate the way I say a word, she learns so quickly and the next day she repeats it. This has started around 9-10 months, and 3 months later she says a lot. Do you have any particular books that you recommend to read to children. Thank you!
