When I was a daycare provider. I used stickers to teach my tots about body parts. I would stick it on their nose for example and say " its on your nose!" They would have a hoot. One child would take it off and place it on a different part on me and yell back " its on your head!" Its is a very cost effective way of learning and having fun!

With your videos I have got inspiration, now he speaks in sentence (5 Months) I no longer have to pull words out of him. He still has a lot to catch up on. I can not afford to pay for your courses so have to stick to the videos you post publicly. You are great to explain, I lack words to praise you.

I have raised a child with autism - he’s 20 now. He has come such a very, very long way! However, the one feature of autism that never seems to go away is that good old repetitive tendency. This often will have you on your very last nerve but trust me you will move into a space where you learn to accept and manage it! You are probably doing a great job or your comment wouldn’t be here. Keep it up you’re a great mom!

I love this video! I’m looking for ideas to practice Spanish with my daughter who is bilingual but sometimes prefers English over her Spanish. She’s 3 years old. I thinks she’s going to love this! Keep your videos coming

Hi, my boy is bilingual too (well, he meant to be :) ), he is 18 months and not talking yet. He is quite vocal and seems to understand a lot, but actually does not say words. Should I worry?? When did your child start talking?

My 19 month old says a collection of words and is starting to pick up short phrases but she's easily bored by her bin of toys and flash cards so I'm so grateful for these tips on how to keep her engaged in some new learning games. Thank you!

My autistic and sensory boy LOVES to sit about five feet away from me, and we sit and roll the tape to one another. He could do this for hours :) And it really helps with his motor skills. GREAT video!

Oh my gosh you’re AWESOME!! What great ideas for a roll of tape!!!! I have a 22 month old little boy in my infant class that I know needs speech therapy. He “talks” but it’s only sounds...mainly dz dz dz repeated over & over & points to what he wants. I’ve been working with him & teaching him ASL...& today he signed in a full sentence “more crackers please” I was over the moon excited for him!!!! Two of my older babies speak in almost full sentences & I can pretty much understand what they’re saying.

This was a major success! :D My son (15 months) absolutely loves doing this activity. He giggles so hard when we put tape on our noses.
It's helped him learn to point to different body parts, how to roll something across the floor, and he enjoys ripping it.
Some words we talked about were: nose, roll, circle, close and open (holes and mouths with tape pieces), rip, sticky and of course, "Don't eat that!!"
Thank you again for your video! ^_^

Ohhhhh! I love hearing this Jessica! I love that he is enjoying it so much. He is at such a fun age. It sounds like you are being creative with the activity and I love hearing that he is learning the phrase "Don't eat that!" Haha! That made me laugh! I am so glad this inspired you and I am excited to make more videos like this! ~Adrienne

I am so glad my nephew is talking now. He is 3 years and 10 months old. It was so scary how he wouldn't talk. Today he said good morning, for me?, bless you, my bear, all done. He is not yet a chatter box. I assume his parents tried talking with him at home also, but I also did my part, watching your videos, and engaging him in activities. Thank you! And of course, praying!

Its very informative and you gave me tons of ideas that i can use with my 2 yo son and my prek class for language development.... the name tag idea will be a hit and i can make labels and have the class place it on the objects and write the words on paper afterwards.

Chalchiuhtlicue it wouldn’t hurt to get some assessments done by an early intervention specialist and then based on their results they can provide you referrals to help the areas that need to be targeted, whether that be a speech therapist, occupational therapist, early intervention specialist or a combination! Every state should have different local agencies that have intervention specialists on hand that can do your assessments!

Thank you thank you! My 3.5 year old ASD son will love doing this and this will help him so much with working on his verbal skills. He gets confused with on and off. So we can step on tape....say take it off, etc... I think my son will be very entertained with this activity.
