As a union On Set Lighting Technician out in Atlanta I can definitely testify that Aputure has made it way on to big union sets. We used the MCs and Nova P300c constantly on the Sundance film “Emergency”. More and more gaffer’s are adding them to their lighting trucks.
As an filmmakers Aputure/Amaran are my favorite lighting company, and boy could I go on and on why.
- Side note- another big thing that makes the Aputure series more “pro” is the ability for a Board Operator with his/her lighting console to “talk” to the MC Pro with CRMX transmitter. This will help integrate Aputure light into the overall workflow along side Astera, Creamsourse, Arri, etc.

I dont know why but every time i watched the background camera on tripod, it feels like its about to fall over the moment someone breathes on it haha. Maybe because the legs arent spread out and its leaning so forward.

This is the first time I haven't laughed at an Epic Light Media video. This time it's a boring 💤 commercial of almost 8 minutes for Aputure. The light kit is very nice, but also has a hefty price. Some demonstrations on location would have made the video livelier and I would have kept my comments in a different light. 💡😀
