This is so incredibly useful! I'm the only one in my cafe who does latte art, so I don't have anyone to help me troubleshoot my issues. I sometimes get compliments, but my latte art is nowhere near amazing. I can't wait to play with these techniques on my next shift! Thank you so much!
Thanks for guiding us through the rabbit hole! I often succeed in making pretty acceptable latte art tulips, only to mess up a day later doing *almost* the same things. Your videos help to break down the process and cover all subtle details-speed, angle, tilt, pushes etc. It still takes a lot of practice, but getting explained the impact of all variables in latte art helps a lot w/ troubleshooting. Thanks again for helping me improve my latte art!
As with all art, it takes time, patience and practice. Great tutorial. And of course, the best thing about learning THIS art, is that it’s always a good excuse to make oneself another coffee! Many thanks.
Very useful course, not only for improving your own art but especially for improving others while training and coaching. I often share your content with my colleagues.
Just right after watching your tips, i somehow manage to make a good latte art. It was explained very well and also kudos to the viewing angle of your camera. 10/10 for a beginner barista like me.. Can't wait to make some more!
This video is really technical and could look as difficult as a lecture on physics but it is immensely informative and helpful! Really appreciate serious videos like this.
Never think of this but DOF is a great tool to understand and explain latte art technique! Very helpful content! Hopefully you guys didn't throw away all the incorrect cups lol, I bet they are delicious :)
Great vid. Thanks! I have a milk jug at work that's ever so slightly misaligned and it drives me nuts. The milk spirals out of the spout and just destroys any chance of keeping crema intact. And I can't get rid of it because the boss spent money on it. I just avoid it like the plague but sometimes grab it accidentally!
Hello, your video was good and looks so simply. I have been trying to learn latte art now for about 3 weeks. How do i know when I have poured enough milk in my cup and to start the latte art? My steamed milk is to thin and just foam at the bottom of my jug
Any idea, why all the milk became mix in the surface when I try to do a latte art? It is becoming to frustrating to me, I cant do any latte art, and every video I see, the people make It appear very easy :(
It's actually interesting that it took me a while to realize that I'm holding the cup crooked while I was thinking I'm following the axis rules and making awful latte art.
✌ yeah that's the next video 🤣 wanted to split it up.. should've mentioned it somewhere though. So important too! Especially when you're wanting to get close to the crema
Zach Calton Thanks for the info. I have a PhD in Statistics so I can confirm X and Y are always the same even outside of “elementary algebra”. They are called independent variables and are fundamental to statistical modeling. It’s nice to know if the application is different in another field. I find it fascinating how the world of robotics and advanced mechanical engineering play with mathematical norms.
this was a tricky one to ensure I had right. I actually changed it last minute.. that's why you see Y before X here.. consider the perspective of rotating the cup towards you off of the X axis and it should line up that the X axis runs left and right, y; up and down and z; towards and away.
Now that's what I call a really informative Latte Art video.
Thanx for this great theory and practicals.Actually it was posted 2yrs back but until now it's so helping.

Well all of the incorrect examples are similar to mine......
Thankyou, this was so interesting 🙂
oh man this is actually really helpful, thought this was gonna be kinda silly, but it ain't at all. I understand it a lot better now, Cheers
Great way to improve your latte arte, can you please list some high-end mug´s brands, thanks.
Thks bro it’s nice man
For me the milk not sliding on the crema is the problem with the kind of the coffee or what ?
The best series about latte art. Very well thought and thoroughly explained. Thanks!
How explane 👌🏻
Thanks 🙏🏻
You should make a video with latte art using an electric/manual milk frother, cause not all has a steam wand at home.
Thanks
Loved it. Are you guys based in South Africa?
Hi Joseph, we're in Brisbane, Australia! Thanks for watching our videos.
Great (as always!), thank you. :-)
It seems so simple looking the videos...but when trying to do it by myself...it's a lot more difficult...

I think he reversed the x and y axis directions. Y is vertical and X is horizontal.

I get the knowledge You are trying to communicate but only because I've to a 10 year experience and a degree in science. Very confusing.
You look funny
All your incorrect examples are better than mine. Why do I keep getting a big blob?
