I agree 100%. I accidentally dropped my impact today on the job site. 3 story’s high on a boom lift. Landed on straight concrete. Battery popped off the impact and thought it was game over. Wanted to cry!Only thing damaged was the pins that slide in to the battery. Bent the pins back and business as usual.

I love Makita impacts over all others but some of the other tools available are better from other brands . My best example for this is Makita miter saws . Imo dewalt miter saws are better overall but I switches to a dewalt 7 1/4 20v max miter saw that I only use 9ah flexvolt batteries . Granted I only cut trim for windows and doors , I do it daily and the battery lasts about a month . The saw is small and light and nothing Makita has compares or at least nothing I saw from Makita

I’ve moved to the Milwaukee platform but I used to have Makita. The hammer drill was awesome. I bought it in a 3 piece kit with a impact driver and reciprocating saw. It was awesome, I loved those tools. I bought them back in 2008 and I gave them to my brother a couple years back. They still work great! I think Makita makes a nice quality tool. Would like to see that Hammer drill against the M18 Fuel Gen 3. Great video, have a great night! 👍🏻

First I want to say that I enjoy watching your channel. The enthusiasm you have with the tools and the reviews are outstanding also entertaining as well as informative.
I recently purchased a makita combo kit from home depot (not the kit you have just reviewed because it was slightly over budget) for under 300 and it came with a free tool of choice. The combo kit was XT269M. It came with a hammer drill xph12, impact driver xdt13, a rapid charger, 2x 4ah batteries and a bag. Tool of choice I got the grinder xag04.
I have to say, having used makita at the two shops I work for has made me a believer and now an owner.

MAKIITA gets 'er done. Also had to show different crews on jobs about the different charging tones so that i knew when mine were done charging, and vice versa. I hope Makita adds more tones or be able to download or add are own.

I have a XPH07 and am thinking about upgrading to the XPH14 but Makita did not include their AFT (Active Feedback Sensing Technology) which would have been a great safety feature. I’d like to see a head to head comparison of the XPH07 and the XPH14 to see if an upgrade would be worth the money. Also I wish Makita would go back to the hard case for the drill/impact combos because the bags don’t hold up to daily use.

Ive been on makitas for 15 years. The older chargers indicated the classical music. The new ones dont indicate it but still do it. Not many people know it. But on site it is convenient to know its your charger thats done, as opposed to the standard beep beep where all the trades turn their heads thinking its their batteries that are charged. Down here in Australia, majority of trades use makita. Or atleast the trades on the thousands of sites ive worked on. I cannot talk highly enough about makita. For masonry though, im a ramset rotary hammer drill person.

I own the Milwaukee Gen 2 full size hammer drill and impact drive in a kit. Last Father’s Day my mom didn’t know what to get me so she bought the Makita combo kit XPH07 and the impact driver. I fell in love with the impact driver even over the Milwaukee. The collar sucks on the Milwaukee impact. The Fuel is a little stronger than the Makita but isn’t as compact and the Makita takes more abuse. My question to you does the Makita XPH14 get hot easy like the XPH07? No offense to fans but I am slowly falling in love with Makita more so than Milwaukee because the comfortable handling, durability, and snug fitting batteries. Is there a big enough difference for me to buy the XPH14 since I own the XPH07? I burn my hand a lot on the XPH07 but so far I’ve never had a smoke show. Thanks for the videos they are always super helpful. I subscribed and should have sooner.

Milwaukee puts threat locker on there belt clip screws. At least it was on the one that I bought for one of my tools. When I bought the belt clip alone.

A lot of pros use Makita because they are reliable and charge fast. Downtime sucks.
