i didn't wanna shave my head for the longest time, until one day i went into a starbucks and my barista had hers done. i told her how amazing she looked and i went home and shaved it that night. came back a week or so later and we both cried. was honestly one of the best moments of my entire life.

I'm having a somewhat similar experience after I saw a girl in my sociology class suddenly show up with a shaved head. Before this, her hair was dyed blue and purple and she actually looks better now. It's so interesting. It suits her so well. She wears glasses and big earrings and she looks cool. Suddenly, I'm inspired to embrace my baldness. My hair stays super low because of a scalp condition and my trichotillomania. I wear wigs every time I leave my house and honestly I'm getting a bit tired of it. I don't have eyebrows or eyelashes currently so the wigs are pretty necessary but as soon as I can get better and allow them to come back in, I want to try to go shaved. Seeing her suddenly show up to class with a shaved head reminded me that honestly no one cares. It can feel like people care, and some do when they shouldn't, but so many people don't care and don't pay you extra attention. You just have to rock it

Yes! The negative attention is so weird! People even believed that I got cancer when I shaved mine D: But I got a sweet story about that: once in the subway a little girl with shave head and a sad expression looked at me with amazed eyes and I smiled at her and she smiled at me and then she was happily talking with her mother. I think she felt relieved at see someone almost like her.
Just do it. It's not up to your parents. It's your head. My parents didn't like it at first either. They chilled. The great thing about hair is that it always grows out. You can have many styles when u grow it out.

I've shaved my head three times in the last two years. I love it. It's the most liberating, freeing feeling ever. Society seems to attach a woman's femininity to their hair, and when you get rid of it, it's an amazing feeling. I love how I look when I have a shaved head - I'm not an attractive woman in the slightest, but damned if I don't feel beautiful when I shave my head.

Yee yee I'm shaving my head in 3 weeks. When I was in 8th grade, I cut it all off into this awful pixie in my bathroom because I was rebellious or whatever, so it's nothing too new to me...but now I'm graduating high school and I'm going to shave my head. My biggest concern is: what if I have an extra-weird-shaped head and I just look like an alien? But, it's whatever, the shit grows back anyways.

I have always wanted to shave my head and donate my hair to cancer patients. But I don't want any attention or my grandmother beating the hell out of me, haha. And one of the females I know just shaved her head. Now every time I talk about shaving my head, I get called as a copycat. But I guess I will let my hair grow for about 6 months and then donate it. Since watching these videos made me want to do it even more.

I've been shaving my head for a year and a half, and I approve this video.
I've had a buzz cut for years now and I've had a lot of people assume I'm gay. Which isn't entirely wrong cause I'm bi lol but sexuality and hairstyles have zero correlation with each other?? As for any negative attention, I haven't ever gotten any that directly pertains to my hair. I had a little kid once ask if I was a boy or a girl (he was maybe 3, it's not like there was much I could say? Annoying, but whatever). Otherwise, not styling it is FAN-tastic and so is not having it ever get in my face again. It's definitely empowering. Feeling the breeze on the back of my neck is lovely, I'll probably never grow it out again. I've had people tell me I'm intimidating looking, but if anyone ever tried to just shove their hand on my head I'd hurt someone. That's bullshit and honestly it pissed me off just hearing you talk about it happening.

My natural hair is blonde and I dye it black, so it seems useless to spend a ton of money lightening my hair/ruining it when I could shave it and it'd just grow back, y'know? I shaved my head! The ATTENTION you mentioned is unreal 😂! SO many people who didn't know me had the nerve to ask me if I was sick/had cancer......which was the worst part of it lol but it did feel so good. I'm growing it out, and I really didn't think about how long it would take to grow lol it's been about 6 months and I remember thinking that at this point it would be to my chin 😂 BOY WAS I WRONG lmao. But, all in all I liked the shaved head but the growing out process just takes forever so I doubt I'll ever do it again.
