There is no more capable truck than a 4runner or anything above it toyota makes. And they last for 300,000 miles. That thing has been beastly for decades.
I always love your video's. My experience with my 2008 RWD 4Runner in a severe Iowa winter storm proved that this vehicle can handle the worst winter storm weather no problem, (even with regular all season tires). Other cars and trucks were stuck on the roadside while I drove on, no problem.
Great review. I have a 2018 TRD OFF ROAD 4runner with a 3inch lift. Been a great truck to have when going off road to film up in the woods. Enjoyed your quirky sense of humour. Really made the video more entertaining than the standard reviews. And the fact that you drove the truck like you stole it. lol
Just bought 2017 cement trd pro I freaking love it love it is just amazing so aggressive looking also so much space regular gas also unjust can’t beat it
That thing is a beast, especially for a factory (okay, TRD) setup. I love that it leapt up that steep grade without the traction control like a big ol' mountain goat! Great review, Sarah!!
Mike Foehr Inhave it in my ‘12 FJC. Even without any mods, I think it sounds and performs most excellently. I also love the idle chug, nice and deep for a V6!
I just bought a 2020 off-road version. Love it. Really like that Army Green color. Cool they let you review it they are kinda hard to find Enjoyed the review as always
Sarah, your videos just get better and better! Your hard work shows. I knew nothing about detailing cars. I’ve learned so much from you! You’re awesome!! P.S. I HATE stereotypes... You break them all! Love 👏 your 👏 channel 👏!!
Have to wonder what it would be like to be pulled over by a lawman asking for license and registration, then glancing at the two mini occupants buckled up in the backseat, then looking back at you. Priceless.
Idk who you are but the fact you appeared in my recommended section I had to see what’s up. Glad I did lol. Can’t afford this 4Runner (in a Gen 3, 2WD 4Runner) but this was fun!
Great review, Sarah. You're right; the 4Runner is a very impressive vehicle. I got a real kick out of you blasting through that big mud puddle. Thank you for keeping your penguin friends safe, by belting them in. Keep up the great work. You're knocking on the door of 200K subs! Awesome.
Just traded my Jeep Rubicon for a TRD Pro. I loved this review. It makes me smile as much as you did while driving it especially coming from 15 years of Jeeps.
MASH IT! SEND IT! Best review Sarah! Thank you! This is my fave of all your reviews…love that you are having so much fun in such a capable vehicle. I laughed with you! What a fun way to showcase what this vehicle can do. Love my 2024 TRD ORP!
I have a 2018 4Runner TRD Off-Road, and after 2 years, the only things I like about it are the looks, the ride-height ... and, uh ... the looks. That's it.
Buying a 2020 in army green like this this weekend. Wanted to just watch some videos about it and came across your review. Best review I've seen of the truck haha. Will definitely be watching more of your content, because it's funny, well-produced, honest, and not really dragged out. Great job
Damn fine review. I laughed with you when you were doing the mud runs - impressive Loved the penguins strapped in the back seat. Gotta make them safe LOL
Love to see you doing off-road reviews. They really need to significantly upgrade the horsepower and torque of the 4Runner. Bring it into the modern era. And, yes, the color is amazeballs.
I have a 2004 4Runner Sport with the amazing 4.7-liter V8. It's the perfect vehicle for Colorado because it's so reliable and capable. It's also comfortable on cross-country trips and great for car camping. My only complaint is that I've had it for 16 years, and I can't find an excuse to buy a new vehicle.
My absolute dream truck - I will be buying a Tacoma (bc of your review) not the Pro sadly bc it's way out of my price range but either an older TRD O/R or a new SR5 - it'll be a work truck just need four doors and AWD - but the TRD O/R is so sick too! but I would LOVE A 4RNR! Great video Sarah!
The window buttons were put high for of roading. if you go into deep water and the water gets into the cabin, the buttons don't get water on them. That is my thought.
Thanks for the review. My next new vehicle will probably be a 4Runner. That's still a few years away. Maybe by then they will have included the 6 speed manual.
Thank you Sarah. Agree 110% about a manual transmission. Out of my two 4-Runners that I owned, the manual transmission was in a different league and completely transformed it into a REAL TRUCK! It’s just something that people have to experience to understand. They’re totally worlds apart.
The only downside to this engine is the 5-speed attached to it imo. However, I've been reading and all, seems like the 2GR-FKS in the Tacoma is pretty solid too, but transmission software was a bit of an issue in the earlier models, but not anymore with the newer models.
J M people still complain about the retuned Tacoma in the 202. I have the same transmission in a Lexus and it’s terrible. I’d trade for the old school 5 speed in this any day over a couple mpg.
TheUniverseOurHome always looking to upshift for mpg. You can be in 4th gear by the time you hit 30 mph and the engine will lug a bit. This can be jerky and leave you in the wrong part of the power band due to all the up and downshifting.
Another great review. You were having way too much fun driving through that muddy puddle! Once upon a time I had a Range Rover and driving through mud was the most fun. It was our crew vehicle and it got to recover other cars from muddy fields several times. I had driven the V8 version, but ended up buying the straight 6 because of the low end torque. This 4Runner looks like it would be my choice if I still needed a crew truck. Happy New Year! Drive safe and take care of your penguins.
Dangerous review, Sarah! I LOVE THAT 4RUNNER! Great colour, great performance, great looks, space, GREAT engine & sound! I really like the interior too. What's not to love?! I WANT ONE.
Sarah, your videos are great. So look forward to them. They are informative, entertaining, & your humor. What more could you ask for. The penguins buckled up was cute. Love the penguins. It is so much fun watching you laugh & have a ball with your reviews. Thank you for all you do & the hard work you in editing your videos.
Billy Bombard The FJC is definitely polarizing. People love it or hate it. I personally love it so much I own one! It’s a beast off road, where is splits the difference between a Jeep Wrangler & Ford Raptor. It was an unfortunate victim of high gas prices + ‘08 recession, along with the equally badass Nissan Xterra & Hummer H3. Just my opinion, obviously
The 4.0L V6 is a solid engine. A lot of vehicles toyota sold uses it. From Hilux to Fortuner and Land Cruiser Prado. Great review, especially on the off-road route. I like the 5-speed automatics, they're basic.
At least the halogen headlights will melt snow! Damn LED’s run cold and in the snow belt that’s not good! Green sports car idea is definitely great! Nice truck! Great review as always!
The color is almost racer green like the old Jaguar kind of ? The Bullit Mustang also l think, yup nice color! Anyways, love you Sarah and happy new year my dear! 😘
What i learned from this video: crawl control and better shocks aside, my 2019 4Runner sr5 is the same truck for ~15k less :-). And my old 2005 4Runner with nice BF Goodrich KO2 tires is a beast too.
I think I read that the tires on the SR5 are more street oriented, but if you replace them with off road tires, the SR5 can do just about anything the standard TRD off road can, just not with as much convenience with the crawl control and whatnot. The big difference is the lack of locking rear differential in the SR5, but that's only important for the toughest of the toughest challenges.
It has perfect size and weight distrobution for the best performance offroad... and is even better than most jeeps.. (stock ones anyway)... PERFECT vehicle. I'd supercharge it.... and it would be TRULY perfect then..
This is the most realistic AI I've ever seen
😂
Nerd. Lol
😂😂
Amazing haha
There is no more capable truck than a 4runner or anything above it toyota makes. And they last for 300,000 miles. That thing has been beastly for decades.
Did not expect to finish this video, but your dry humor kept me entertained! Nicely done compared to all the other same ol reviews out there.
Quip pissing🍀
I can’t help it. I love this dinosaur. I have no use for it, but if I had the cash, I might just buy one.
Even if you don’t need its off road ability, some buy it just for the reliability of it.
I always love your video's. My experience with my 2008 RWD 4Runner in a severe Iowa winter storm proved that this vehicle can handle the worst winter storm weather no problem, (even with regular all season tires). Other cars and trucks were stuck on the roadside while I drove on, no problem.

1999 Hilux owner with 217k miles on the clock in sunny England. Toyota make the best vehicles!
Also love how you did the whole video solo!
Yes it would be great to get the helux in Canada
During the mud trial, i was smiling the whole time. It´s so nice to see someone having as much fun as i would be having if i was doing the same thing.
The freaking 4runners are beasts. I had one and loved it. Excellent review ad always, keep up the good work. 🤟🤪
I love that the window buttons are on top of the door
I’ve never wanted a trd 4runner so bad in my life, this looks like loads of fun!
Get The TRD Off Road with KDSS.. It's way better on and off road
I have one of these!!! Everything considered- color, reliability, old school truck like feel and build, this is a once in a lifetime vehicle.
I would like to say that i am impressed with how most of your viewers are respectful to you. To all you viewers Stay classy everyone
Just bought 2017 cement trd pro I freaking love it love it is just amazing so aggressive looking also so much space regular gas also unjust can’t beat it
Wow brand new 4Runner and vintage MR2 is like my ideal 2 car setup
That thing is a beast, especially for a factory (okay, TRD) setup. I love that it leapt up that steep grade without the traction control like a big ol' mountain goat! Great review, Sarah!!
If I ever decide to wrap my 4Runner in Army Green it's going to be solely because of this video....
Thanks a lot, Sarah!
First comment to you this year...1GR-FE V6 is a killer engine. I have one in my 13 Taco...it hauls ass pretty good.
Mike Foehr Inhave it in my ‘12 FJC. Even without any mods, I think it sounds and performs most excellently. I also love the idle chug, nice and deep for a V6!
I got one of these in early November, It's the best vehicle I've ever owned.
I just bought a 2020 off-road version. Love it. Really like that Army Green color. Cool they let you review it they are kinda hard to find
Enjoyed the review as always
SARAH and TOYOTA ROCKS 💪👊💯
Jaime P I’ve had my for 2 months and 3200 miles. Really like it so far! It’s is expensive but should last forever and holds value really well.
Jaime P thats what I got the ORP. I think you will like it 👍
Nice, I am having hard time to decide run4 or highlander hybrd?
I like it!! The 5 speed is rock solid. One of these would last for years!!
Great review, I love my 4Runner. The Army Green has definitely grown on me the more I see it.
Sarah, your videos just get better and better! Your hard work shows. I knew nothing about detailing cars. I’ve learned so much from you! You’re awesome!! P.S. I HATE stereotypes... You break them all! Love 👏 your 👏 channel 👏!!

Great review. I like it when people do off road reviews in stock vehicles.
Great review, Sarah. You're right; the 4Runner is a very impressive vehicle. I got a real kick out of you blasting through that big mud puddle. Thank you for keeping your penguin friends safe, by belting them in. Keep up the great work. You're knocking on the door of 200K subs! Awesome.
Went back and watched your tundra 2020 Trd pro and sure enough it did the hill in 2 wheel drive. Great videos as always!!!
Great review, your channel is becoming one of my faves!
Just traded my Jeep Rubicon for a TRD Pro. I loved this review. It makes me smile as much as you did while driving it especially coming from 15 years of Jeeps.
No regrets?
Best trade ever
I have the SR5 2WD, and thank you for having so much for the confidence on that!
MASH IT! SEND IT! Best review Sarah! Thank you! This is my fave of all your reviews…love that you are having so much fun in such a capable vehicle. I laughed with you! What a fun way to showcase what this vehicle can do. Love my 2024 TRD ORP!
You make the best car review videos! And yes, that army green is an awesome color!
I have a 2018 4Runner TRD Off-Road, and after 2 years, the only things I like about it are the looks, the ride-height ... and, uh ... the looks. That's it.
Great review and the video quality has increased since the camera upgrade.
The window buttons/controls are up high to maintain functionality when the vehicle is treading deep water and mud.
At least that's what I heard
Your personality is so unique and refreshing... cool stuff S -n- T
Buying a 2020 in army green like this this weekend. Wanted to just watch some videos about it and came across your review. Best review I've seen of the truck haha. Will definitely be watching more of your content, because it's funny, well-produced, honest, and not really dragged out. Great job
YES YES AND YES MAKE THE 86 GREEN !! WE NEED MORE HULKKKKKKKKK
Love yours and Sarah's channels Liz.
Liz, you should buy one of these trucks. You'd look awesome in it.
I have TLC Prado 2008 1GR-FE last 5 years its excellent car and next car I want Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro cos I think it will be excellent car too.
Was that a rock chip and crack on the windshield 🙀?
Damn fine review.
I laughed with you when you were doing the mud runs - impressive
Loved the penguins strapped in the back seat. Gotta make them safe LOL
Love to see you doing off-road reviews. They really need to significantly upgrade the horsepower and torque of the 4Runner. Bring it into the modern era. And, yes, the color is amazeballs.
Great review. I loved seeing how much fun you had blasting through the mud!
You’re not wrong about having a manual option in the 4Runner. It’s a big part of why I eventually went with my OR Tacoma.
I love 4runners. Own a 2016 Trail which they renamed to TRD off-road
I love the green!! That’s been my color for a year so far, it’s so calming
Now go review the Lexus GX460. It starts at only $1000 more and is basically the same thing with all those Luxuries you love from Lexus. + 301hp V8
I like how you just stare at the camera lol it’s very unique.
they have it on the 86, and it looks amazing, it's a special edition comes with dark gold wheels.
Yup.... Hakone Special Edition! Sarah got to review it. Gorgeous.
Everyone loves the TRD Pro for all the goodies but with a few mods the Limited is the real sleeper in the lineup with full time 4WD!
You are the cutest..the color is the missing outdoor color, its perfect..
The window buttons were put high for of roading. if you go into deep water and the water gets into the cabin, the buttons don't get water on them. That is my thought.
I've been considering a 4R, watching reviews, and stumbled across your channel. Informative and entertaining. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. My next new vehicle will probably be a 4Runner. That's still a few years away. Maybe by then they will have included the 6 speed manual.
I absolutely love my '20 SR5 4Runner. Great video!
My 2023 SR5 is magnetic grey metallic. And thankfully no ugly roof rack
Toyotas are the most reliable cars ever
I really love this 4runner. The 86 would also look awesome in this color.
Thank you Sarah. Agree 110% about a manual transmission. Out of my two 4-Runners that I owned, the manual transmission was in a different league and completely transformed it into a REAL TRUCK! It’s just something that people have to experience to understand. They’re totally worlds apart.
thank you so much for not saying all the brochure crap.
This may be the final year with the 1GR-FE. In 10 years we'll all be trying to score a mint 2020 TRD Pro with no rust
The only downside to this engine is the 5-speed attached to it imo. However, I've been reading and all, seems like the 2GR-FKS in the Tacoma is pretty solid too, but transmission software was a bit of an issue in the earlier models, but not anymore with the newer models.
And if history proves anything all the guys selling them will be asking $51,000 for a beat ass, 200k mile example lol
J M people still complain about the retuned Tacoma in the 202. I have the same transmission in a Lexus and it’s terrible. I’d trade for the old school 5 speed in this any day over a couple mpg.
@@Popcornbeetle what issues you have with the transmission?

Dangerous review, Sarah! I LOVE THAT 4RUNNER! Great colour, great performance, great looks, space, GREAT engine & sound! I really like the interior too. What's not to love?! I WANT ONE.
Nice Detail...I enjoy you quirkiness , adds REAL to the reviews
Your reviews never fail to make me laugh. Keep being you.
I dont like the front end but Sarah always looks good keep rocking the reviews
Her last two car reviews are the vehicles I want Lexus GS-F and Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro
This car has a great seating position with lots of steeering and seat adjustment . Its great for tall drivers .
Every manufacture needs to offer every vehicle in this color!!
At least, every offroad car.
I'm going to have to look past the outdated interior. Because this is the only suv that I have my eye on. I love it.
Awesome and fun review! Put a smile on my face🤗. Thank you for all your hard work. Happy New Year!
One of your best.
Well done!
I like the window controls up high. had a 07 and I was always fumbling around trying to find them in the dark down low.👍
This might be the best thing I have watched in 2020 here in little old England. ✌✌
I would like to see the same mud test in forestergump.
Omg that boot sliding thing is the best thing ever 😂 your reviews are the best 😂😂👌
Civicky yeah, it was awesome for grocery shopping!
wait till scotty kilmer sees that
The 4Runner is the most unstoppable vehicle.
Why did no one care when they debuted the fj cruiser in army green a decade ago, but now everyone is losing their mind over the color?
Billy Bombard The FJC is definitely polarizing. People love it or hate it. I personally love it so much I own one! The mud looks great with that green!
I’m hoping no penguins were harmed during the making of the video.
Love your review Sarah!
Love love this army green color, none in 2024, picking up a pro in Terra color in a couple of weeks, can’t wait!😅
"The rear seats recline, whoa!!!! The tears seats recline alot!!!" I love your reactions Sarah. Happy new year airman from the goofy devil dog
Wonderful review Sarah! Keep up the great work!
At least the halogen headlights will melt snow!
Damn LED’s run cold and in the snow belt that’s not good!
Green sports car idea is definitely great!
Nice truck!
Great review as always!
Traction control should not be the default!
You proved that with skill you made the hill your bitch!
Girl got skill!
Great review. So original in your walk around. Awesome 4 Runner... color is bad ass. You need one! 🤗👍
The color is almost racer green like the old Jaguar kind of ? The Bullit Mustang also l think, yup nice color! Anyways, love you Sarah and happy new year my dear! 😘

No substitute for cubic inches.
Happy New Year!!
It has perfect size and weight distrobution for the best performance offroad... and is even better than most jeeps.. (stock ones anyway)... PERFECT vehicle. I'd supercharge it.... and it would be TRULY perfect then..
Toyota needs to bring one of these to the uk
With a diesel engine of course but the land cruiser prado is already available in the UK
Cool review, love that you asked the kids in the back if, they were bolted down before you got after it :) :)
color would look great on anything, even a Maybach.
Babe in a TRD Pro; doesn't get better than that. Nice review; 4Runners are bulletproof.
Cool car color is super cool for the 4Runner... great review as always Sarah.p.s happy new year to you girl.😉
