    I'm able to schedule Desktop flows by simply putting a label at the top, then at the end, put Wait (xxx seconds), then GoTo (label at top). I set it to run 3600 seconds for every hour, etc. It is self contained and does not require special features or cloud.

      sounds like you'd still have to kick off that Flow manually

    Very useful, thanks!!...Is there a flow to refresh a report, save it and then publish it in your workspace?

      Hi Cristian,
      Thank you for posting your query onto our channel. We really appreciate you taking your valuable time to post it.
      Well, there's no need to create that kind of a flow when one can simply schedule a refresh on a timely basis onto the workspace and update the report/dashboard automatically.

    Hello thanks for the great video, I have subscribed to your channel. I do need help with a very similar thing I am trying to do, but its not working
    I am trying to run a desktop flow from the cloud flow.. I set the recurrence in a similar fashion but the Cloud flow just doesnt kick off, theres nothing in the flow run history.
    I just set the following in the "Recurrence"
    Intreval --> 1 week (I have set it to run Monday through to Friday so selected week)
    Timezone --> UTC+10 (Sydney)
    Start time --> 2023-02-01T17:25:00Z (As I need to run it at 5:25 pm each day of the week)
    On these days --> Monday - Friday
    At these hours --> 17
    At these minutes --> 25
    So the preview says it runs at 17:25 pm every weekday. So when the time arrives, the flow just does NOT kick off. Please advice what I am doing wrong.
    Note : For the "Start time" I have even tried "00Z" and "000Z" (both dont work)

    Hello! Do you need a license to schedule a desktop flow?

    Hello Jarett, great video. Wondering if there is a way to automatically refresh Power Query build in to excel which is stored on a Share Point.
    In a nutshell, our project is to consolidate data from users (which are using Excel Forms to fill in required data). Excels are saved by Macros on Share Point and then consolidated to one common Master Data which is then uploaded to Snowflake.
    In order to consolidate the data we are using Power Query in Excel which has to be refreshed before being uploaded to Snowflake.
    Your video partially answers our needs however as you have clearly mentioned, your PC has to be turned on for the flow to work. On the other hand, cloud flows don't allow any action to refresh PQ (i have tried enabling Macro when opening the file, scripting refreshing PQ but none of this solves the problem). Any ideas whether Power Automate could be used for this task or maybe sth else? I can not imagine we need to do it manually all the time (refresh frequency would be every 1 hour). In worse case scenario, we can use shared logic but it is not perfect due to vacations, days off etc. Thanks a lot for your feedback!

    HI Jarett, great tutorial!
    I am a member of Enterprise DNA. Would you be able to do a tutorial on refreshing multiple dataflows (that make up a PowerBI dataset) when a file in Sharepoint is modified? I have figured out the right template to use for this, however, the issue that I am facing is that that template only triggers a workflow when any file in a folder is modified (as opposed to a particular file).

    And what about the Gateway needed to connect to the Desktop flow, is it still needed or can that be skipped now ?

      Hi SANJIV RAI,
      Thank you for posting your query onto our channel. We really appreciate you taking your valuable time to post it.
      You'll still require a Gateway. It's used for refreshing the report onto the service. In this current video, the flow is running between the cloud and the Power BI Desktop where new data is imported inside the Power BI Desktop and then once that process is done. Schedule Refresh takes place wherein report is updated onto the service and for that Gateway comes into the picture.
