  • On October 30th, 2022, a man contacted the Highlands Police Department in reference to an unwanted guest. He advised that a woman was not leaving his house even after his repeated requests. Here's what happened next. Soon, the police arrived at the man's house and began assessing the situation. The woman continued to blame the man for everything and refused to comply with the police. At this point, the officers were trying to remain as calm as possible, but the woman kept exacerbating the situation for herself. Even after getting arrested, the woman remained defiant. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

Documenting the abuse, most abusers put on a nice face when the cops come so if they get her and she's going off that's more recorded evidence he can use in court. It sucks to watch him sit through it but video evidence is powerful.

Yes, because it's dereliction of duty, and might put them in a position of personally being charged as accessories to a criminal act. The city where these cops were working would also be liable to get sued because they didn't prevent the woman from harassing and verbally abusing her ex.

They were in police presence, so they know if anything got hostile they would be able to put it under control really quickly, and in being there they are able to record the manipulation and abuse with their body cams, and if this ever goes to court, the man can pull that footage for his case.

I hate seeing this as well, but some of the double standard is warranted because men and women simply are not the same. It's way too skewed in favor of women though. This is effing ridiculous. There is a fair amount of double standard you can have. For example: a man slaps a woman. Arrest his ass. A woman slaps her man. Play it by ear. He may have deserved every bit and he can't seriously be in fear for his life 99 percent of the time. But the way they let her berate him for so long was disgusting.

No, the law is the law and it should be applied equally. You're an abuse enabler for all the Amber Heard's out there.
