I had very bad experience with Oman air, They are not even replying to my complaints, Which includes 1. Providing confirmation of itenary for Non-operational flight 2. Re- routing a journey with a layover, where the next flight was impossible to catch. 3.Lost and Damage language 4. Reasonable compensation for Arriving final destination 24hrs late. The worst airline back office experience I ever had.
It´s actually incredible how airlines from the middle east keep offering an outstanding service even on 1h economy flights. And then there´s European carriers which even stop to serve a second warm meal on 10h flights
Why my experience flying with oman airways is different from what you've shown, actually one of the reasons why I chose oman airways because of your vlog but my expectation was not met, my flight is from kuwait to Philippines and we had a stop over in Muscat for long 13 hours, then finally we fly from muscat to Philippines (it will take around 8 to 9 hours flight)of course most of us are hungry after staying for long hours in muscat but for this 9 hours flight they gave us scrambled eggs, bread, butter and jam for breakfast and only pie for the rest of the flight and for coffee or soda they will give you only half of 7 oz plastic cup, there is no rice or heavy meal even sun visor or socks was not there although I don't mind that, i paid 1300 usd for the ticket (round trip)that's why maybe my expectation is high, or maybe you're European and we are Asians, just sayin'. But for me that will be my last flight with oman airways and I won't even promote it, they're not even close to the likes of Emirates airline, Qatar Airways and Kuwait airways which are the best airlines in gulf.
Yeah once around 2017 they offer their business class from CGK to CDG or ZRH 1000€ Didn’t take it as it has a very long layover and wasn’t sure about transit visa requirements Turn out they over a hotel for business class pax on long lay over
Awesome video David... Happy to see your videos very often...Very clear and good review on Oman airlines but i had a bad experience with them while traveling from Muscat to my home town but will give them a try again
1:48 no, the 787 was made for a 2-4-2 configuration just as the 330 who is the main rival ( no the 350). The thing which airlines is this: more seat more profit and 2 configuration is considered old
I seriously feel the new generation people should need to be more forthcoming when it comes to trying new age carriers coz few so called 5 star carriers are not worth their reputation and that too after Covid onset many of them have cut their services a lot...
Unless you try you won't see a hidden gem. Smaller airlines too trying to get a share of the competition though new aircrafts, outstanding service. It's bad they don't get the recognition they deserve
im flying with oman air today. ive flown with them in the past and it was a very positive experience. one thing i found amusing was access to various camera angles outside of the plane that you can view from your mini tv
I had been watching another video on your channel just before I got a notification about this one) I haven’t watched it yet, but already know this new Brutally Honest episode is gonna be very interesting 😀👍✈️
Great review as always. I flew Oman Air about 7 years ago twice - from South Asia to Kuala Lumpur and then from South Asia to Egypt. The flights from South Asia to Kuala Lumpur were extremely nice and mirrored the service you documented. For the ones to Egypt, from Muscat to Cairo it was on an old Boeing 737 with horrible legroom, horrible service and overall a bad experience. That was a couple of years ago (full details on my blog) and in the old terminal (which could not handle the capacity)
With the big 3 contributing to the major traffic of the gulf, smaller airlines such as Oman, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways have to deal with the left overs. They may have a good service but their network scale doesn't help them sustain on the longer run. I too hope these smaller airlines flourish like their neighbour's
I’d just like to share that when I was still in High school, we used to travel to Muscat from the Philippines a lot (bec that’s where my dad worked). Since then, we’ve flown Thai Airways (MNL-BKK-Karachi-MCT), Emirates (MNL-DBX and then DBX-MCT), Etihad (MNL-Abu Dhabi and then Abu Dhabi to MCT) and even Gulf-Air, which is a direct flight before from Manila to Muscat. It was only recently that Oman Air offered direct flights to the Philippines. A year before my dad retired, we went back to Muscat for the last time and our seats were upgraded to Business Class (yes the underrated Apex suite!) and it was super awesome! Imagine getting an amouage eye cream from the amenity kit. Overall, I think it’s a great airline to compete with and it saves a lot of time for me to have layovers (not that I hate layovers, I actually loved exploring Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bangkok’s HUGE airports before). And for a nonstop ticket, it’s the cheapest one we can get to get home! Honestly, it is underrated and it needs more like you content creators to make it even more popular!
I find this interesting since there are a handful of reviews that claim that Oman Air's service is not particularly good. Thankfully this video proved otherwise!
How nice to find a review for a flight that I'm planning on taking! I had looked at flying non-stop from Heathrow to Muscat but routeing through Munich saves a fortune. This Economy class offering looks perfectly fine. Good review.
their business class seats are 30-50% cheaper then other airlines. im tempted to try them out but since they arent in any alliance groups i feel like the miles will go to waste. ill might be better off paying more for a ticket that i can use the miles to go anywhere.
Thanks for your review of Oman Air. Ive never flown with them before and am really impressed with the service they offer. Thanks to your review, I am now planning on flying with them as part of my itinerary. They look just as good, if not better, than some of the other major airlines I usually fly with. I really hope they get more demand.
You tried the best planes like the A350,B777,and maybe the A380,meanwhile I just tried the A320 and the A321neo and both where middle East airlines and saudia and also both where(BEY-RUH),(RUH-BEY)
Travelled with Oman Air nine times return flights London to Manila ! The newer Muscat airport is such a pleasure to transit through and the Aerotel inside is great if you want a sleep . Only ever had one problem in 36 flights and that was a male member of the cabin crew who wasn't rude to me , but extremely rude to some other passengers ! Other than that , Oman Air gets a 5* from me , but their prices are creeping up .
Yea for sure Oman Air is pretty good with it's European destinations, fly with them to Sub Indian Continent East/North African flight let's see if you get the same service..
Oman Air hospitality is top notch and can be compared with the best in the world. I just hope they will use newer planes for flights in south east asia
Shh. Don’t tell anyone! We love Oman and fly from DXB to MCT to MAN regularly and the business class is only 2x the Emirates economy. Love the lounge in MCT too.
Great review and flight. Oman Air and the country of Oman are definitely underrated. For attracted more passenger, I think Oman Air should doing more promotion about stopover at their country like airlines from Iceland, because Oman like others Middle East Countries, they have advantages 6th freedom flight.
Glad you had a great flight. Oman Air is definitely the worst airlines I've ever traveled on. I've flown with them 5 times and I've never had a good flight. I appreciate your reviews and this one is based on a good experience you've had, but I've had nothing but nightmare flights. Lost baggage, date change without notice, damaged baggage, putting my wife and me on separate flights, downgrading me, giving me economy meal on business (I'm allergic to seafood and booked prior but it was the only option available). It's not just the worst airlines I've traveled with, it's the worst service I've ever had by a single company.
Didn't have a great experience flying with this airline, was going for a holiday to UK and the company had booked us flights from oman air from hyderabad to muscat and then muscat to London, the food served was actually horrid, I got sick for 2 days I will say aside from the food the economy class was nice
How have you not flown EL AL yet all this time? I know that Israel's borders were closed for a long while due to the pandemic, but they've recently reopened to passengers.
After hearing so much about Oman Air, I booked my mom a Chennia-Cairo return on their Economy class.. and she told me it was quite underwhelming. The food quantity was really low on all legs, and the quality being average at best... and the service too was below average, with even getting a glass of water being a challenge. :/
Then they changed a lot. In past, around 4 years ago, the toilette was so terrible dirty and smelled so bad from start of the flight. Its was not cleaned since a few days and the floor of the toilette was like glue of urin. If someone opened the toilette door, the bad smell of old urin was in all the cabin of the airplane. And it really smelled so terribly, you can`t imagine, so i consider after, never again to flight with them.
Oman Air is definitely one of the most underrated airlines. Glad to see, they still provide the Economy Class amenity kits.
Wow! Flight experience is here!) Glad to see you 😀
Hello
Amazing flight report, keep it up! 🤩🤩👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I had very bad experience with Oman air,
They are not even replying to my complaints, Which includes
1. Providing confirmation of itenary for Non-operational flight
2. Re- routing a journey with a layover, where the next flight was impossible to catch.
3.Lost and Damage language
4. Reasonable compensation for Arriving final destination 24hrs late.
The worst airline back office experience I ever had.
@@saeedshareef1311 Hi when and between where did this happen.??
It´s actually incredible how airlines from the middle east keep offering an outstanding service even on 1h economy flights. And then there´s European carriers which even stop to serve a second warm meal on 10h flights
That's how the east is, warm.
I used to fly Oman Air MAN-MCT, since covid I’ve had to transit in either DOH, AUH or DXB!!!
And US airlines that won’t give you a meal if your going to Hawaii because it’s “domestic”
FINN AIR's dinner in their Helsinki-New Delhi 8 hrs long flight was pathetic. Ethiopian Air's breakfast in Mumbai- Addis Ababa flight was far better.
I flyed to Kochi From Bahrain In This Airline in 2018
One of the best airlines ever
The food and ife and air hostess was absulty amazing
Yeah once around 2017 they offer their business class from CGK to CDG or ZRH 1000€
Didn’t take it as it has a very long layover and wasn’t sure about transit visa requirements

An airline with great service and low costs really deserves the demand.

The seat width on a 3-3-3 787 is the same as 3-4-3 on 777. Ive experienced the latter on emirates 777, and it is quite comfy.
There is only one airline that every had a 2-4-2-configuration in Economy on the 787, but even they changed it to 3-3-3…
@@simply_aviation I think only ANA switched to 3-3-3 JAL still retains its 2-4-2 seating.
I seriously feel the new generation people should need to be more forthcoming when it comes to trying new age carriers coz few so called 5 star carriers are not worth their reputation and that too after Covid onset many of them have cut their services a lot...

I've only flown on Oman air once and I was very impressed, definitely up there with my other favourite, Qatar.
One of the most realistic flight reports in youtube ❤️❤️

Definitely an underrated airline. Service looks pretty much like the other ME3. 2 reviews in one video 👍🛫
I flew Oman back in 2012 from Chennai to Muscat - Frankfurt. Overall it was a great experience with friendly crew. Hope to fly soon with Oman Air

The Muscat Cairo route now being served with the A330 along with the B737....

They may have a good service but their network scale doesn't help them sustain on the longer run. I too hope these smaller airlines flourish like their neighbour's
I live in Oman and use them all the time. They are the jewel of the GCC airlines.

Very nice thumbnail. I flew on 3 737-800 and 1 A320 once. Simply Aviation is my favoirite tripreport plane channel.
That looked absolutely amazing. Brilliant economy meal service and very nice cabin. Free beer is also a nice bonus on a 6 hour flight.
I find this interesting since there are a handful of reviews that claim that Oman Air's service is not particularly good. Thankfully this video proved otherwise!
all my experiences with omanair were really good. its just that some reviewers think they should recieve special treatment
Another amazing trip report David, Oman Air seemed amazing when Paul Lucas flew them and they still do now!😸
Thanks you @Simply Aviation, I see this flight report already, is amazing flight✈️, keep it up!😊🤩🤩
Simply aviation is the most greatest trip report video ever
Oman itself is one of the best country on the planet🇴🇲♥️✌️
How nice to find a review for a flight that I'm planning on taking! I had looked at flying non-stop from Heathrow to Muscat but routeing through Munich saves a fortune. This Economy class offering looks perfectly fine.
Good review.
just found your channel - good to see someone doing economy class reviews when most youtubers are reviewing business / first classes primarily.
their business class seats are 30-50% cheaper then other airlines.

I love Oman air, been using it since I was a kid. However, Oman air is so expensive and nowadays I often find myself using the Emirates
I have flewed in Oman Air. It was absolutely super comfortable 10/10
Travelled with Oman Air nine times return flights London to Manila !

Yea for sure Oman Air is pretty good with it's European destinations, fly with them to Sub Indian Continent East/North African flight let's see if you get the same service..
Mate! I’ve flown mct- Cairo and before that.. I flew London Muscat… I can say there was no difference in service.. to be honest I enjoyed them both
Finally another amazing Brutally Honest video! Thumbs up! :)
Airline Suggesntion: Flair Air and maybe swoop. There both Ultra Low Cost carriers, based in Canada
I usually fly Oman Air from Muscat To India and I get economy. Super Comfortable and great food.
That 737 flight was very impressive!
Oman Air hospitality is top notch and can be compared with the best in the world. I just hope they will use newer planes for flights in south east asia

It is indeed a hidden gem. their business class prices are close to economy class prices with their competitors.
Haha you uploaded the same day I took my first 787 flight!
See you soon Oman air this november. im so excited to fly with you.
I found a good flight with oman air from fra to bkk with return for only 570€ i think i cant say no for that price.
My favourite airline ❤❤
Thank you very much for this great trip report 🌹🌹🌹
Amazing video keep up the work man
Glad you had a great flight.

That’s because you’re smelly hooman
Cool video, professional video ❤ travel the world is the best option in the life
Oman is a beautiful country Alhamdulila
Thank you 🙏.. Yeah hopefully they might get more customers.
One of the lowlights of Oman Air is their baggage allowance...its the least among gulf carriers. Something they should work on
Their baggage allowance is low?? They're offering 30 kgs.. I don't know about the other Gulf carriers but Qatar Airways offers only 23 kgs!
Oman Air!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
My favorite airline, hi from Oman 🇴🇲👋🏻👋🏻
Unfortunately, my flights with Oman ir was not good. Four flights with them and that should be enough.
Cool video mate!
Oman Air the best and will always fly Oman Air, yet flying tomorrow from MAA-MCT
This is a very good looking product. If I get the chance one day I will have to try this airline out! They really do look stunning!
The amenity kit on the flight to Dubai was unnecessary tbh
I am from Oman, and I sure think that Oman air is very awesome.
Omanair flies 9.5 hrs straight from Oman to Manila, Philippines and VV
Oman air is so good i have traveled last month 🤩
I love simply aviation.
Thank you for reviewing Oman Air, i tried Oman Air
Always nice capture
Love flying with Oman Air service is always excellent 5starts to them.
Have flown oman air for more than a decade, but never got a welcome kit 😉
love it keep it going
You have missed kuwait airways as one of the middle Eastern flight
David, please do some Indian airlines again! Those were really good. And if possible, even do a brutally honest for Indian airlines
Could you do the review of westjet 787 from Calgary to London
See at the very end of this video! :)
I appreciate the oncamera intro!
Nice flight review :) ja, hope they could get some passengers on board :) keep safe bro 👊:)
You should do a brutally honest episode on Royal Jordanian!!
Didn't have a great experience flying with this airline, was going for a holiday to UK and the company had booked us flights from oman air from hyderabad to muscat and then muscat to London, the food served was actually horrid, I got sick for 2 days
I will say aside from the food the economy class was nice
I am always pleased to fly oman air 🥰
Safe travels. Thank you.
Would love to see you guys review kuwait airways :D
It’s on the list! :)
Love the review 😍
Fair & just… I’ve tried OmanAir several times.. there are pretty good
Safety video is the best... 👍
Timberlands 😍
May I ask what camera do you guys use when filming these videos?
It’s always listed in the description :)
I think Dubai is a premium route for these carriers that's why the extra service
Why Oman air doesn't have a flagship a321?
How have you not flown EL AL yet all this time? I know that Israel's borders were closed for a long while due to the pandemic, but they've recently reopened to passengers.
Please make a video on BIMAN BANGLADESH AIRLINES
Thanks again
Same to you thank you David

My dad worked their as a pilot and we lived in muscat sadly my dad lost his job due to COVID tho :(
Oman Air is the Middle East's worst airlines, by far. Every time I think they can't disappoint me, they find a new way to do it.
You haven’t tried Mahan Air, have you? I hear their business class is good.
make a riview of air belgium's new 330-900
Nice travel report.
Next up: Brutally honest episode for Koryo Air
