Egypt Air is the 6th oldest airline worldwide established on 1932 ,even older than the state of UAE itself.
UAE economy with 1 million local population is bigger then Egyptian economy with 100 million population. There is no need to compare this way :)
@@SpideYDxB UAE is oil country and population 9.8 millionnot one million
I love this format, you have even improved the narration of the video with the voice-over, and you seem more confident when you speak. All in all a great comeback !!
Really great to see you back David. You and Felix do a great job. Egypt Air is trying, and the meals looked appetising. Hopefully they can serve meals in re-useable dishes, and make other refinements, as you mentioned. Compared to meals on U.S. airlines, Egypt Air is well ahead. Personally, I would give Egypt Air an 8 out of 10 based on your review.
In the age of Covid-19 I think it was 100% wise for them to use the plastic utensils at least they get thrown away rather than use real utensils that get washed.
My concern is...... what if they don't get washed properly.
Reusable dishes and cutlery had a history of getting stolen, that's probably why they don't use them much.
Actually EgyptAir has its own plastic factory to serve its own aircraft's and its more safety for covid 19
They only switched to single-use plastics after covid. Never had them before. Based on travelling with them for the past 9 years. I assume they plan to go back to their reusable dishes once there is less concern around the virus.
Полный отстой этот ЕжиптАйр!!🤣🌺🤣
I've been waiting the return of this series. Glad to get it back. Keep it going :)
The meal look good, I frequently travel from Dulles International Airport to San Salvador with United and they offer coke and pretzel
Love the review! Keep it going…I just have a comment regarding the disposable food trays Egyptair uses, it is actually intentional as a covid-19 precautionary measure to fight the virus spread, not a matter of neglect. Which in turns makes me as a passenger more assured of their overall hygiene. Well done on the review.
Brutally Honest is back! :)
Yes
It's getting back to normal again. All is well :)

Amazing video as always and I’m so glad this series is back!😸
Great to see Brutally Honest back! Keep up the good work David and Felix!
this is my fav airline channel great job glad yall back one love
Really stoked to see the return of this series!!!
Can't wait for more Brutally Honest! It's one of the best series! Also glad to see you're finally back!
Your videos are amazing bro, and I am really glad that brutally honest is back! keep it up man! 👍
I LOVE BRUTALLY HONEST! BEST PART OF THE CHANNEL AND BEST FLIGHT REPORTS
Awesome. New Equipment works rly fine. Good job david and crew. This is next level. Thumbs up
Great to see this series return!
I wouldn’t had even minded a sponsorship, but your approach to sponsors in today’s climate is refreshing.
Keep up the great content Felix and David.
Thank you for bringing this series back
Egypt Air has been around since the 1930s.... it had ups and downs for decades . i think they are doing a move now but not planning to hit in the higher niche ...it rather wishes to becomi the good economy option that focuses on tourism especially regular groups> thats a big market that can give a return on investments in a step by step policy. i really apreciated your remarks on the unclean windows and limited media content...i always complain from it too and i think you were trying to give them a waiver with the desert excuse :) emirates and qatar air come from the desert too !! i guess its rather cutting costs and mismanagement
however they are very reliable and dependable in their operations and i hardly suffered from delays..lost luggagge.. etc over 40 years of travelling with them. they also offer a wide coverage and have great offers on longhaul flights to East Asia Africa and the US
So glad that this series is back....
After having not flown in such a long time. I didn't think one of the things I miss so much was the roar of the engines. Thank you for the video. Do stay safe in your travels!
We flew EgyptAir from Cairo to Luxor, and then from Aswan to Cairo. The only complaint I had is I felt cramped in economy class and the seat was not comfortable. But then I was suffering from a lower back pain and painful leg muscles from riding a camel and walking down into the Red Pyramid. One of our party upgraded to first class and met Zawi Hawas. The best plane experience we had on that trip was the flight with Air France, from Charles de Gaulle to Cairo. That was some seriously good food and wine served in economy class.
Eyy lets gooo this series is one of my fav keep it up!
That GTF sound when they spool up for takeoff is also made during approach for some reason, I hear it all the time at SEA with DL flying so many of them into here lately. Great video!
I am so glad you are back 👍😀🔙💯
Brutually Honest First Class on Singapore Airlines A380
Quite expensive. I went on Singapore airlines from Singapore to Brisbane via Economy class and costed me a bit over $1000. First class could probably be 10x the price
You know brutally honest doesn’t have to be bad right
Very nicely done mate!
Great video, and welcome back.
I'm happy to hear this report on Egypt Air. I fly the airline frequently, especially domestically. All the remarks you made were ones I also have noticed. I'd like to see if their service has improved on their long haul flights, for example to North America. They were well known to be a 'less desirable' option for many reasons, but not serving alcohol was a noticeable one. Thanks for your review and keeping it real without sponsors. Happy flying!
They dont serve alcohol because Egypt is a Muslim country.
Dear David, wonderful video. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for cheering my day.
Love to see this series back on your channel.
And let's all take a moment to appreciate the effort that goes into making this kind of content.
Love you guys
Nice for Brutally Honest reviews to be back. I also like the new format, most especially the "background" narration style as well as the graphics. Keep it up!
I live in London and would chose Egyptair any day over BritishAirways or a European carrier. Egyptair renewed their fleet recently and are trying to improve the service. I appreciate the extra luggage and not having extra charges here and there i.e. luggage, meals. When it comes to flexibility and changes, if you need to change economy tickets dates, it is far cheaper than getting ripped off paying admin charges plus the any additional tickets costs on European carriers.
Egypt did a great job in the last 5 years
Glad you try egypt air, hope you enjoy your flight😊
I spent three years working seasonally in Egypt during my degree (archaeo). I found that EgyptAir was pretty much the only way to get around the country that wasn't a complete omnishambles. My noble intentions of seeing more of the country and saving the environment by using rail went straight out the window when I realised that EgyptAir Express (as was) was so damn practical and convenient compared to literally everything else on offer. They did the job, and that in itself was a big win.
This channel is sponsored by YOU "no shady VPN companies or build your own web site things" Not selling out to is what makes Simply Aviation 100% AVIATION!
While others were grounded due to Covid, Simply Aviation gave us a new video every week, all recorded before the pandemic, these guys plan and prepare so well.
Almost 500k subscribers, all home grown with no messages from "our sponsors" Felix and David, great to see you both back in the sky again, I`m super excited.
Just became a channel member, my choice and my way of saying thanks to Simply Aviation. love the new voice over, saves you typing Good Bye Austria :D
Thank you so much for your kind words and you support, Andrew! :D It means the world to us!
First David let me say I’m so glad you brought back brutally honest! The one comment I will make is you would never get that kind of a meal on a domestic US flight. You should do a brutally honest episode on what American Airlines is serving now. You would be appalled 😱. Thanks for this review and I look forward to many more!❤️👍✈️
Why
Can’t believe the best series is back 😭😭
“All in all” a good video
Glad to see Brutally Honest Return, I was waiting for this day to come, the series was an amazing idea on the channel and you review airlines very accurately. You really are the best airlines reviewing channel. Keep up the good work and Kudos to David and Felix :D
Looks live i have to wait next friday for the next episode
Of all the travel reviewers, Brutally Honest is the only one I looked forward to resuming. I also see that the issue of cleaning up in the EgyptAir lounges has still not been addressed since I last used Cairo Airport a few years ago. The irony is that the public areas are still actually much cleaner than the lounges!
david i love the brutally honest and all we love it
Fly every year with Egypt air .I like the food on board and they have new planes
Yes Darling David, your video is good and informative as always...Btw The Meal looks delicious though.. 😋
Just loved it!!! Thanks for the efforts you take for showing us the airline❤
Thank you for the trial Flight on Egypt Air on of the oldest corporate in the history with a great experience and condider the Safety is the first in its policy
We all missed David’s Brutality Honest welcome back 👍🛫
Brutally honest is back and better for good 👍 so nice 👍 to you my brother David…. It’s simply aviation for the avgeek i must say i love that sound whenever an expectation has been met ..
Great video. Continue the good work.
.
Super glad that the brutally honest series is back and great job on the review David! Will you guys be bringing back the community poll to ask viewers for their expectations? Once again am buzzing brutally honest is finally back!
I sat as far back as you did on the A220 when I flew it with AC back in August, but my seat number was 25A
Yes! More of this please
This is an amazing video! Please keep making this series!
I’m really happy to see my national carrier finally take a step forward. Great review again man! Keep up the great work
Ah finally! Nice to see that brutally honest is back. The 787 and the a220 have quite similar noses and cockpit windows, don't you think?
The food was great, appealing, and sounded delicious, but I agree that Egyptair has to do something about the containers, crockery and cutlery... All in all a great flight review! :) :D
Excellent report!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad to see you back with Brutally Honest! I missed them! I did not realize you hadn't done one since the pandemic started. It was good to see some regular trip reports, though, during this time. I'm sure once things get more normal again, they will do away with the single use plastic. Keep up the good work!
You can avoid some nightmare transit flights after watching some of these videos, good work man
I really love this channel for they are not boxed in that limited set of 5-6 popular airlines. The wide range of airlines covered is the single most important USP of this channel.
I absolutely love your channel
Good work!
Yesss u are talking and showing ur self in da vid!!!
Lovely review of Egyptair David and I enjoyed the introduction too! Looking forward to some Brutally Honest reviews of some South East Asian airlines 😃
That's the best product placement I have ever seen!
Nice Video, nice flight!
i have been in a flight with egyptair from the netherlands to cairo and than to Dubai and the flight was pretty good
Nice video and with price info. Good!
My Fav series is back
I guess that the plastic containers thing is related to Covid restrictions. I flew Egypt Air a lot as an Egyptian myself.
I assume it’s a decent airliner. The cabin crew are helpful. The pilots are so professional with a very high safty record.
What comes from the cons side from my view are:
1) The cabin crew typically speak Arabic and English, sometimes French also, not a wide variety of languages like the case in Emirates. But, this is something about Emirates that all the crew members are expats from around the world.
2) The lavatory hygiene is not the best.
3) The meals are not changing a lot from a destination to the other considering the different tastes of guests from different countries.
4) This is very important, you won’t find huge difference in QoS between economy and business class despite the huge difference in the price.
Nice flight report, keep up the good work guys.
Finally after a long time, BRUTALLY HONEST is back!
I flew then from Cairo to Aswan, and then to Dubai. I didn’t expect too much, but they were ok on the national flights and surprisingly good on the Cairo-Dubai leg. Food was very, the only downside is that they don’t offer alcohol.
Did you recorded by go pro ??
The RETURN OF THE KING!
Thanks alot for making this video for our home country flag carrier Egypt air 🇪🇬❤👍🏼
The only non middle east airline which we can compare with emirates, etihad or qatar is turkish airlines. Because they have a very young fleet also a brand new airport with a very very good lounge. Also there inflight entertainment system is world class. They have a very good catering partner with turkish do&co. And a very very professionel crew. Which to see a brutally honest review of them. 🙈
Brutullay honest BIG BIG FAN ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 🙏….and sharing you video with the right person on Egypt air …hopefully they can work on (-) side you had mentioned..thank u again
excelent video, congratulations
Hey Simply Avation I'm Aser and I'm Egyptian I always to travel to Egypt one time I traveled with Egyptair I hope you enjoy your flight 😊😊😊
Welcome back Brutally Honest. 6th freedom flight on same airline but different aircraft.
Idk why a lot of people go really hard on Egypt Air, they're not bad for a government airline. If only they had the same ambition of their neighboring gulf carriers though and manage their online experience, cabin maintenance and such. Cairo would very easily turn to a global hub.
05:15 Mount Athos in Greece
There’s a specific desk in terminal 3 that you ask for during check in and if there’s business class seats you pay approximately $280 dollars
I did, but they said I have to ask at the gate. And then at the gate they said, they only accepted Visa and Mastercard. It was very odd and everyone seemed very confused about me asking to pay for an upgrade.
Brutally honest is back and better
I loooooove your RUclips channel and am really addicted to watching all these videos! I haven't flown in like 7 years so barely know anything about the A220 type of Airbus, it seems really quite to me compared to the 737-800. I assume it's like a short>>medium haul plane? Keep these vids coming please! 🙂
Hi David, What was the name of the lounge in Cairo that you visited? I believe they have 2 in terminal 3.
Thanks This made me feel better!
Glad you're back! You should try out Hawaiian Airlines again - they were so bad when we flew 3 weeks ago! I was so looking forward to my first trip to Hawaii in over 30 years - it could have really ruined my trip if I had let it - they need to be called out for horrible service and disgusting food. And don't even think about asking for a pillow and blanket if you are not in first class - you will get the "UGH" service - trust me you need to try them again...........
You should try Yemenia, Syrian Air, Iraqi Airways and Libyan Airlines..somehow i'm more interested to these rarely heard airlines in middle east region
Sudan airways
Afriqiyah
@@Enceladus2106 Afriqiyah Fleet size 14
Destinations 14😂
Oh please don't try Yemenia - I beg you don't 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of the worst airline in the world - I know so and have experienced it.
Trust me lad. I do know.
Loved this show! :)
Hey, from November to January is Iceland Air flying from Punta arenas to the Arctic. But the price is i think about 40- 44.000 dollers
I am flying this on Jan 29th from Toronto to Dubai, on Business class - hope I enjoy it. B787-9
Its not really a middle eastern airline its an African airline :) i actually thinking of going to turkey via cairo with Egypt air
Both african and middle eastern
Nice egypt new aircrafts but our cebu pacific nice too we have A321neo and A320neo And soon to arrived our new Airbus A330neo in our cebu pacific new aircraft
Brutally honest is my favourite
Interesting, thank you. I shied away from Egypt Air a couple of times going from Frankfurt to Dubai. Business Class at Egypt is the same price as PremEco with Lufthansa.
LH beats the offer with a direct connection, but I am starting to avoid LH these days.
The Cheese they gave you is called La vache qui rit, (the laughing Cow) and it is a morrocan brand of cheese! Was so amazed to see it on an egypltian flight!
It's popular in Belgium too
