Sometimes Doug makes the stupidest mistakes. Like pointing at the radiator vent and saying that the engine needs so much air to suck it in.
Doug, I believe that the window switches are a nod to Ettore Bugatti's work in aviation. Their action is similar to the function of Saab power window switches, which mimic the inputs of aircraft controls...forward on the stick pitches the aircraft down while pulling back brings the nose up.
24:19 That storage compartment is specifically sized for the HP iPAQ PDA that Bugatti ships with every Veyron for vehicle diagnostics. You can see the PDA itself in the glovebox in the previous scene at 24:12. The permanently-attached data cable in that center storage area is for the PDA.

@1% Evan Ł but it is though
...ill call the police on you
James May & Top Gear made it an Icon. The original Veyron was an Icon. It was the beginning of an era. It literally left everything in the dust. Just about the same time the other game changer was the first new Nissan GTR. Merry Christmas everyone!
I remember watching a video where Doug said he thought he’d never get offers to review veyrons, so it’s awesome that he’s made it to the point he gets to review cars like this
He should’ve reviewed Santa’s Sleigh for Christmas 😂✌🏽😎🔥
Ahahahaha 👏😺
11:38 those window switches *don't* operate backwards, Doug.
Yeah. Even my Miata's work the same.
Yeah, I don't understand what is he thinking there? The switch is operating the same as others, just instead of moving up and down it's tilted and moves forward and back.
Sometimes Doug makes the stupidest mistakes. Like pointing at the radiator vent and saying that the engine needs so much air to suck it in.
Doug, the type of guy that says "show me your quirks and features" when he meets someone.
Doug, I believe that the window switches are a nod to Ettore Bugatti's work in aviation. Their action is similar to the function of Saab power window switches, which mimic the inputs of aircraft controls...forward on the stick pitches the aircraft down while pulling back brings the nose up.
How billionaires brag - "Yeah, I begged Doug to come up last weekend and review my Bugatti. Such a cool guy!"
Did Doug just say that the Bugatti Veyron is NOT a head-turner??
It's not a great design though
The moment you find out the removable material dividing the front trunk cost 100K
when you have been watching Doug for 3 years, and still never checked out his new website, "cars and bids"
begone, shameless person
Or go to his column on autotrader/oversteer
Cars and bids is still new
All I wanted for Christmas was to see Doug wear just one shirt at a time and my wish came true
For the window switches, think of it more like something you pull up and down rather than pushing forward and backwards. The direction makes sense.
"The standard Veyron had only 1000 horsepower."
Apparently that's equal to many Fiesta's combined.
Who else is jelly that Doug makes a living on driving cars like this?
Doug the type of guy to critique a Bugatti’s style while wearing two white tees and lousy cargo shorts.... stylee
24:16
Is that a BLACKBERRY??!😯
Talk about a blast from the past!😂👌🏾
Doug is the type of guy to laugh at Doug is the type of guy jokes
15:46 When you want to kill someone in style during a road rage
Having to replace the wheels when you get new tires is the real dealbreaker, as if having one of these wasn't absurdly expensive already. At least they changed that with the Chiron.
I’m sure it’s a big worry for you
Let’s be real. If you can spend $2.5M on a car, spending $35k on tyres is nothing. I’m willing to bet that the average owner of one of these rarely does the speed and mileage needed to properly wear the tyres.
@@MrTWICETHEPRESHA It wasn't $2.5M new, it was half that, and I know a lot of crazy car guys who will spend $1M+ on a car but balk at the idea of $50k on tires (which is how much they were for 10 years) plus >$20k to ship the car to France.
I smile every time I watch Doug accelerate lol
my dream car. not divo, not chiron. THIS. this looks so basic, fast, 2000’s looking just refreshed. beautiful.
