    Yo is the boss the only pedal that does that???? I can’t find any otherZ. It’s such a great feature

    • @ANGWISHTV
      @ANGWISHTV  4 года назад +1

      That's correct TheLeebus, to the best of my knowledge Boss is the only maker of the octave pedal I need for my setup. Thanks for watching and subscribing and good luck with your setup!

      You might get what you need out of a Boss OC3 or OC5..I'm about to pull the trigger on a Behriger OC3 clone because last I looked Sweetwater had them for like 20 someting bucks.

    Nice rig.I'm interested in any and all ways to get that full band with just one or two members.Just discovered Royal Blood last year.Thats how out of the loop I am.Thx 4 content.

      Don't worry, I'm out of the loop as well since I discovered them in summer of '21. The best result would be a guitar amp and a bass amp, then get a signal splitter like a Switchblade pedal to drive two signals to the respective amps. There's a different pedal routing depending on your main instrument (guitar/bass), but for guitar it's like
      Guitar -> splitter pedal -> your pedal setup -> guitar amp
      Guitar -> splitter pedal -> octave pedal (ehx pog, boss oc, tyler deluxe etc.) -> equalizer -> bass amp
      That's the most basic way to play guitar and have a bass sound following the lowest notes of your guitar, that's 4 pedals in total to get you started.

    If you can do it and play drums all at the same time, you can make rock music all by yourself!

      CaptainWilliam that's very perceptive of you, that is actually the project I'm working on now and I am working on an instructional video for that project as well! Thanks for visiting AngwishTV!

    Hey so I'm going this route and I'm wondering if I have to plug my 1/4" from my guitar amp into my actual jack of the guitar and where to go from there?

    • @ANGWISHTV
      @ANGWISHTV  8 лет назад +1

      +chase maycroft Hi Chase, you will need a short 1/4 inch to go from the guitar jack into the gk-3 pickup. Then my Roland octave and synthesizer pedals both have a quarter inch "guitar out" which will give you the straight guitar sound with no gk-3, I'm pretty sure that's a standard feature with all their pedals. Good luck! Bryan

    so my current setup goes like this...
    guitar -> tuner -> ehx big muff -> ehx micro pog -> guitar amp (without octave fx) + bass amp (with octave fx)
    i dont really mind having fuzz in my bass sound since we're playin alternative punk or noisy rock duo
    my bass sounds really dirty and heavy and i like it
    it sounds best only when i play a note but not power/octave chords
    do you know any suggestion? how to get rid of those high notes when playin chords? it sound awful for my bass

    • @ANGWISHTV
      @ANGWISHTV  7 лет назад +2

      Hi Najib, that's a very good question. If you skip to about 2 minutes into the video, I am showing the octave pedal I use which allows me to turn all the strings on or off so I am able to receive bass signals from only the E string or only the E and A string, etc... However this does require the Roland GK-3 13 pin midi cable setup which is hard to come by these days as I constructed this setup in 2011 (you may be able to buy them on ebay). I have found there is no real way to get a decent bass sound from your guitar without investing in some unique accessories and configurations. I'm actually working on a "Part 2" of "How To Play Bass and Guitar at The Same Time" where I explain in detail my alternate guitar/bass setup which is analog and does not require any extra weird MIDI gear. Part 2 should be coming out within the next 2 weeks and may give you some new ideas. Thanks for viewing my video, feel free to ask any more questions and good luck with your set-up!

      Najib Basman I just discovered the Boss OC-3 Super Octave. It has a "Poly" mode which only allows lower frequencies to be affected. It also has two outputs (one for your guitar amp, one for your bass amp)

    So, all i need is $1000 for all these pedals, pickups & cables & i too can play bass & guitar at the same time? Instantly discouraged.

    • @ANGWISHTV
      @ANGWISHTV  6 лет назад +1

      Dr. Awkward it's kind of a "glass half full" kind of situation. It's a big initial investment but I've saved tens of thousands of dollars by not having a bass player. Like any business, music is no exception, you must spend money to make money.

    • @dr.awkward9075
      @dr.awkward9075 6 лет назад +1

      I'm going with a Boss OC-3 super octave pedal, a direct box & a bass amp & we'll see how that goes. Then again, i play punk & thrash so i'm not too sure how this will sound, but we'll give it a shot.

    • @ANGWISHTV
      @ANGWISHTV  6 лет назад +2

      Dr. Awkward cool, good luck! I actually have an alternate stripped down version of my setup, I'm working on a video detailing that which will be coming out soon if you're interested! Cheers!
