@@aquaholik6789 Great video my friend. I have a question - if you set the EQ like that, how does it sound for single note riffs? How high can you go before the bass can't be heard?

@Ross Boyd yeah, it does to a point. As long as you don’t hit the wrong strings when playing and open D it seems to work ok. There’s a bit of trial and error to it

So is there a way I could play power chords over an A note cause if you set the equalizer to allow notes over an A than it would pick up the high notes in a low power chord.
they now have a pickup now that only gets your bottom two strings and requires no routing and a separate output. Exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve started a 3 piece band electronic/guitar vibe but we don’t have a dedicated bass player. I frequently use OC-3 in poly mode, the third pot set right in the middle (twelve). In this way it uses only sounds beneath the G string for the octave down and I can play both bass lines and chords at the same time. Alternatively I use the Roland GR55 or Boss GP-10, both of which give even more control over which strings should pick the bass sound and which not.

Question, if I just use the outputs on the micro Pog to split the signal and place an eq pedal after the Pog in the effect output line (essentially the "bass" output) would it provide the same overall function?
Harry Woods for the most part, but adding the compression really helps. Just depends on what you are looking to do. If you want a clean sub octave sound, add the compression. If you’re looking for a bass tone under every note you are playing then it isn’t necessary.

the guitars "signal" has two methods of representation, the time domain and the frequency domain. you can think of the frequency domain as a measure of how loud eat "pitch" or frequency is. the Equalizer takes areas of that and raises the volume on it. Very nice video and demo, but I have to admit that the POG is way too overpriced for this operation. negative - never had a problem with it.
I would like to see how it sounds when playing Metal
Have you tried to use distortion on guitar amp? Could you provide us a demo?
Hey man! So I tried that last night after I got an aby switch. I don’t have an eq pedal but it did sound pretty good but I’m sure it would be even better with an eq!
Sick tone man
I might do this instead of buying A Little Thunder Pickup
I tried the Micro Pog, it has a cool sound, but a huge delay for tracking the part. I found it unusable and returned. Are there any better solutions out there and how do you manage that for your sound? I noticed there was a delay for you too, maybe you dont mind
El Grande 3000 series - Cheers!!!
Damn this is so cool but do you have to have a bass amp? Most of the time bass is di at gigs anyway
DI works as well!
Very nice video and demo, but I have to admit that the POG is way too overpriced for this operation. A basic Octaver like the Boss or similar can do the Job, but u have the versatility with the pog if you need to use octave up for playing guitarparts with a bass (royal blood). I will try my bass octave deluxe from mxr if it will track with my guitar signal right.
I’m just going with a mxr bass octaver and equalizer
great vid man!
Basically royal blood in reverse
yes sir
31 bass players dislike this video. :D
btw. if you're on budget boss super octave oc-3 will do the trick by picking up the bass sounds in poly mode, you just need to dial in the range where the pick will cut out.
Very Cool, I play Bass and Guitar together on my channel, it's exactly opposite of what you are doing!
A bit confused, can you (or anyone) elaborate on why compression is needed?
just stops the bass notes from popping- it;s not completely necessary. i have a similar setup & dont need one
Now with rock distortion instead of reggae white boy college circuit styles
Very old topic, but if somebody is looking for a similar solution, OPFXS Dig Deep can do this job very well.
Sick
Dope
My guys doing a local h
fuck yeah!
Hey Evan Great video, I'm doing the opposite phantom guitar! Stop by and check it out
woah I've never seen anyone play with their thumb like that lmao
Hendrix used his thumb like that to play chords. You can't really play barre chords when the guitar hangs that low.
Its an old blues players trick, you let the bass ring out and can still play lead with your other fingers, ;)
Eargasm
Great sound but too much gear.
Look, I know us bass players are always stealing your chicks because we lay down the funk and have HUGE packages but we generally love playing music with you and will be glad to do it if you would just ask nicely. No need for all of this fuss.....
Lol - you still can never replace a phenomenal bass player 🙌🏻
Were not fooling anyone, but ourselves. We still need a base player, end of story .💁♂️🎸
How to steal bass players job
Synu spadaj z taką grą.
two boss super octave pedals do this same job
