Hello! Great recording of Fantasia in G, especially since the piece was newer back then. Do you happen to have recordings of BGSU Symphonic Band concerts from 1980? I’m looking for Feb. 21, 1980 specifically as It has a recording of Symphony Op. 35 by James Barnes, which I’m researching. If you have that or any concert with that particular piece played in full could you upload it? It won the ABA Award in 1978 and my goal is to hear why it won. Thanks for reading this! Keep up the awesome work, I enjoyed your Essay for Cyrano video as well!

Thank you! I only uploaded the January 1980 concert. It's the only one I have. I can't seem to find a recording of his first symphony on RUclips. Odd!

@@BGSUBand yeah it’s almost lost, especially since it was not published. It’s not the only award winning piece that has been neglected. Not to mention lots of older repertoire from rare composers. I’m sure it will turn up at some point though, someone’s got to have it

@@javlopez1889 Hey man, we listen to a lot of similar repertoire and have the same questions about older band music!

@@Swuidward_ that’s awesome! I’ve seen your comments on some other channels. What band music or composers are you looking for??

@@javlopez1889 A lot of obscure band composers! William Hill and his Danses Sacred and Profane is one of my personal favorites
