Cindy is a great car reviewer. You can tell that everything is honest and is coming from a real person's point of view, not someone who drives different cars all the time. It's great that she is happy with Hank.
I love that Cindy can articulate very well how a car 'feels', most car reviews talk about issues that you get used to or not. how a car 'feels' will not change too much during ownership.
Your lady happens to be a brilliant car reviewer! Tight and straight to the point expression, very well! The big boat is gorgeous and suits you best. Countless happy miles, lovely couple :)
Hi Chris! really nice to bring Cindy view on the car.. she brought some nice details and something that we guys normally dont think about while analizing a car. cheers and take care both of you! have a nice holiday!
From this video, it seems like the view over the instrument panel is difficult for shorter people. I do like that both seats have power and memory, which makes life a little more bearable for short spouses, etc. Looks like Cindy needs to be encouraged to use the massaging seats. Good on VW to include the extension of the bottom seat cushion. This is a feature on both seats? Lots to like in this car. Thanks, Chris, for pulling in Cindy’s point of view. Give her some more time in the drivers seat, and we get an update in a few months?
Try reaching down between the seat and door to grab the seatbelt if you can't reach from the top. I learn that from having a convertible, the belt is so far behind me. I reach down near the lower anchor point. It's much easier that way. :)
I liked to watch it :) I once had to chose furniture for a public building. When we received the prototypes, I asked several Ladies from our cultural life to test them. And what to say more, ''Cherchez la femme'': totally different aspects came up, which males never would have payed attention to !
Cindy: thank you very much. Your approval is of great importance. We cannot absolutely trust Chris as he is an enthusiast like us. Just joking, Chris 😂. When we get the word from you we can start to feel very optimistic...maybe I can even talk about this car to my own wife!
I love how basically all the complaints stem from the fact that the car is unnecessarily long. Why are we buying bigger and bigger cars even as the motors (and even batteries etc.) shrink is beyond me...
The current 2023 Passat is 477cm long. Seems that there’s indeed a new 492cm 2024 model coming. That feels way too big for us too. Hopefully they make a reasonably sized sedan in the future too.
Looking forward to seeing this in the US! Everyone over here is SUV-crazy, but hatchback sedans are like secret weapons. Love it! Question: what brand of doggie carrier are you using?
My wife complained that the driver seat does not go up very far and that seemed to be true. Also the window line is quite up requiring more up position.
Wow, she is really good at noticing details. You should ask for Cindy's opinion more often 🙂 Dogs seem to approve this car as well, that's the most important.
What’s not to like? I think VW scored with the iD7. Hope the operating system is better than the 22 Tiguans was. I’d like to thank your wife for giving us info on the seating. I sure liked the seat extension, I’m 2M tall. I sure hope that VW brings the ID7 to Canada in the next few years.
How brave were you to buy a new car without consulting your spouse first? He's right to be scared, having left it this late. Delighted you both like, in that the car *will* be your car for a while. Have fun!
How come you both speak English so well? Anyway, very interesting comments. Your wife should be in reviews more often! I would like to hear what she thinks about Model 3 Highland and how it compares with ID.7. It's a smaller car and some mentioned problems wouldn't be there, but I bet there would be others. This is more luxury car.
Although I only have a small screen in my Megane E-Tech, the screenlayout is kind of similar to this one. Also super easy to turn on seat heat or heated steering wheel.
Thanks so much Cindy, I really enjoyed your review 👍🏻 In the next video, please, make an evaluation of Travel Assist, is it the same as in the ID.4? I’m afraid the problem for Volkswagen is not building cars (dashboard, seats, etc.) but instead building the hardware and software of an electric car. Has Volkswagen improved the autonomous driving? Is it comparable to the autonomous driving of other brands? Has VW improved the efficiency using silicon carbide semiconductors in the inverter? (an ID.4 owner)
@@borg181 Thanks for that. She doesn't show some Canadian pronunciations on typical words like "out". Goes to show how hard it can be to detect an accent.
The negatives are good as no car is perfect, Chris don't defend VW for their lack of design foresight. Will be interesting to find out Cindy's view after say a year once you've gone through all the seasons and she's had more opportunities to drive it longer. Unfortunately compared to BYD Seal & Model 3 Highland it's less efficient as proven by some UK RUclipsrs on a recent video. Rear seat room was designed for humans not dogs so you'll just have to give them a pat and do stretches so you don't pull a muscle. One thing I notice is the car is dark as the camera looks to the back it looks like your looking into a unlit void. Isn't there a driver setup like in Tesla so Chris can have his icons in his places and Cindy can have her buttons in her places and two settings are totally separate so no conflict.
You got this far in the buying process and your wife wasn’t involved in the decision? I would never have been allowed to get away with that. What would you have done/said if she hadn’t liked it?
far too big for a VW and I wonder if it fits in parking lots and garages. Price a bit too high regardless if you get incentives or not. enyaq has been sold and right now it is Mercedes Diesel time for long distance and towing while the e-Golf is doing all the 250 - 350 km trips. 5:59 - Customizing / soft buttons is really worth to mention or is it to show that it took VW to fix such big mistakes after 3+ years ? It looks more smooth or fluent in the transition , even though the icons in blue look somehow outdated again as before. 8:40 is an issue caused by the car size which is wider simply to be able to raise the price cause bigger cars can be sold for more and this is the Passat counterpart and somehow it losses by design but that is a question of taste. Tow capacity will be another topic which has not really been touched even though the Passat is such towing vehicle. I bet it can tow a lot less than any Passat Diesel.
Cindy is a great car reviewer. You can tell that everything is honest and is coming from a real person's point of view, not someone who drives different cars all the time. It's great that she is happy with Hank.
She is so relatable and so much fun! Gotta bring her back in some more videos. Thanks man!
I would love that. She is not so excited 😆
I love that Cindy can articulate very well how a car 'feels', most car reviews talk about issues that you get used to or not. how a car 'feels' will not change too much during ownership.
Aahhh - that’s so great - delighted that Cindy finds the car comfy. Must be BIG relief, Chris ?!?! Always great to hear Cindy’s point of view 👍🏻👍🏻
What a relief! we all held our breath for Cindy's opinion 😁
I saw the ID 7 last week. A friend works for VW in the Netherlands and he had it for a week. What’s a brilliant car.
Loving Cindy”s review..
That was exactly the video I was waiting for since you ordered the car. Best 👍👍
Nice and honest review from Cindy! You 2 should do more reviews together, so heart warming funny hearing the 2 of you interact and review😊
Fantastic review! We men tend to get a bit too hyped about new tech. She has such a practical view about everything.
Your lady happens to be a brilliant car reviewer! Tight and straight to the point expression, very well!
The big boat is gorgeous and suits you best. Countless happy miles, lovely couple :)
Great fun to hear the opinions of a non-car-geek. It sheds light on (mostly) completely different issues/use cases.
Your wife is a great communicator 👍
Hi Chris! really nice to bring Cindy view on the car.. she brought some nice details and something that we guys normally dont think about while analizing a car.

The car is a good choice, but your wife is great choice 👍
So funny you assign your cars human names.
Verdict Cindy. Not only does the car get a big thumbs up, Chris passed Cindy's scrutiny as well. LOL. (Nice software adjustment.)
I also ordered this car as a company car. The leasing deal was very good compared to other makes that had the same base price.
Looks like VW has learned their lesson. Id.7 is a much needed improvement.
Phew, dodged the noose there Chris 😂 Great review!
Lovely Cindy's socks during the presentation ❤ it's made way way warmer Hanks interior in rainy day ☺️
Happy wife, happy life!

What we learned is Chris doesn’t get any kisses but the dogs doo we share your pain. 😢

We have an ID.3 and for us even that is bigger than necessary 😂
For aerodynamics and boot size
It’s 20cm longer than Passat and 10cm longer than Arteon. I hope they make electric Passat one day. This is too big for us.

The extended thigh support is also a footrest for Cindy ! I kid, I kid 😸😹

It is just a blanket with 3 dog seat belts

your off the hook again, good job
In conclusion, the car is perfect, the wife is not. It's a joke! In fact, she is a beautiful and nice lady.
Wow, she is really good at noticing details. You should ask for Cindy's opinion more often 🙂

Not possible adjust blinker volume on obd11?
Finally a good seats on a id car😮
Not that I know of

Chris likes living on the edge.
She told me, buy what you want
Extra points for dog cameo
she approved it. be happy now, man. she rulez.
i have a question?what cindy has on her feet?lol great everyman consideration love it
I have leg warmers on. My shins get really cold, so just a bit of extra warmth.

His wife is canadian...
You didn't mention the audio quality, and I saw you're listening to some powerful stuff :) How is it?
Great review!
I like it, she hasn't heard too much yet
Although I only have a small screen in my Megane E-Tech, the screenlayout is kind of similar to this one. Also super easy to turn on seat heat or heated steering wheel.
Megane rules.
small screen? UK? I would never call my screen small. I kind of love it . Also I agree with Chris. Megane rules
Hold on a sec, Cindy says first thing she would like to do getting into car to kiss her dogs, not her husband? 😂
Correct. I am driving, she wants to get home. Dogs more important 😀

Autonomous driving in ID cars is better than most other brands!
Maybe the blinker sound changes character over time, I remember our Id.3 changed volumes during an update.
Mine didn't
Make a update video after Cindy have drive the car for som time :) My girl is 145cm. love to hear how it is after drive it for som time.
Great video as always why did you choose to buy VW ? I only drive as passenger with Falck in a ID 4 love it ❤ respect from Denmark to both of you.
1:31 "That's what she said!"
How is the voice assistant. Have the passenger try to set the temperature and see how it works. The voice assistant is supposed to be much improved.
It is ok, we both don't use it. It is faster and easier to press one button
Hey cindy, rank them:
Hank
Walt
Chris
I assume i already done it..
No, the pups first
Is Cindy from New Brunswick? Nova Scotia?
Ottawa
She loves Hank! Wait a minute..
"Aktion gesunder Rücken" seats?
Is Cindy German? Her English is very good.
Cindy sounds North American to me. The name supports that supposition. Not likely to be Canadian, so perhaps the New England region?
Chris has mentioned before that Cindy is Canadian.
@@borg181 Thanks for that. She doesn't show some Canadian pronunciations on typical words like "out". Goes to show how hard it can be to detect an accent.
Canadian
@@BatteryLife Thanks. MFG
Cindy did put the seat back into your position after driving?! Let my knees tell you: keep hold on that woman.
I am nice too and put in her position when she wants to drive

Agree with Cindy re seatbases being to deep, im tall but share the car and wife n mother in law struggle in the front n dangerous for driving
You both should do a German Voice Reveal Video
😀
We have German videos on my German channel 😉
My wife doesn't like the ID.7 because she likes sitting in a higher position in the ID.5 more ;)
Did she say she prefers ID.7 or ID.4?
damn 70 centimeters longer than id3
Cindy, kiss your husband first, and problem solved!😊❤
Sindy is still hot! How could you get a woman like her! She is gold!
It will all come down to value for money in each market and if VW can make a profit. It looks like an uphill battle. The look for me is not appealing.
You got this far in the buying process and your wife wasn’t involved in the decision? I would never have been allowed to get away with that. What would you have done/said if she hadn’t liked it?

Warum kann deine Frau so gut Englisch sprechen?
Hat das bei euch beiden was mit eurem Beruf zu tun, oder ist das bei Cindy Muttersprache?
Liebe Grüße!

She liked the model Y, she is not a fan of the model 3
I don't like either of the 2.
