I massively prefer the early years (pre series 12) of the trio. Less scripted stuff, but that just made it better. If they'd done this segment during the later series or during the Grand Tour, May's would've "accidentally" got lost and driven to Belgium, and Richard's car would've exploded.

I personally like the idea of an MPV and wouldn't be concerned with spending a grand more than a normal hatchback. Extra room, a bigger engine size, more suited for families if they don't want to spend a tad more on SUVs or people carriers, especially young ones, and they give you a slightly better driving position than a normal hatch does. I believe Toyota came up with the idea at the start, and it's worked a treat!

I miss the popular cars that were in the country I live in a little bit, watching this video reminded me, the current ones are totally empty for me. Because in Brazil the cars that are popular there have never been a big deal and the current ones are even less attractive, I'm talking about Brazil

What you pay for in the Mégane scenic is a much bigger taller boot space, more passenger space, more interior versatility, a much better, taller driving position in a car which takes up the same amount of space as a regular Mégane. Having owned both, I'd happily pay extra for the scenic on those merits alone..👍

I'd have the Ford. It's a much better car than the Renault. The Renault may have the better diesel engine, but, as a car, it has to be the ford for me.

@@josephlewis9237 As a c-max owner I can say that scenics have aged worse than c-max, mostly because renault use shitty materials

@@josephlewis9237 as the owner of two Renault scenics, I would have to politely disagree with you regarding parts prices. Service items aren't any more expensive than for the ford and are easily available from any motor factors. The MK1 is definitely better built than the MK2 which also has keycards instead of keys (why??) but both are made of top quality metal and neither has ever needed any welding for the MOT..
