Great to see fellow Mi Riders :) Had mine for about 12 months now and love it. I went for the orange one and for a folding bike it doesn't half get some looks when you are riding around :) I chose it because I wanted something stylish, but need to store it indoors so couldn't really go for a full sized bike. Thankfully there is a nice cycle route around the corner from my house, so going for a daily ride to get some exercise is easy. I'm just jealous of the tweaks that the 2020 model has...I definitely want that little rack on the rear!!
The only change I made to mine, is to get a different seat. I bought one with some thicker padding and little suspension springs built into it. My bottom really thanked me :D
Thank you @Steve Hargreaves! They certainly do look stylish having the battery hidden inside the frame. I was sent a bike by MiRider to review and a local person had another they loaned me. I then found some local to people for test rides. They really enjoyed.
I just bought one in Grey. super excited!!!
AbukarScience Great compact Ebikes.
I have just bought one two days ago and I went out for a 22 mile cycle today and this is what I found.
1. It rides really well without the motor engaged.. I would say as good as a Brompton.
2. With only using the battery to maintain a 13 mph hour average into a reasonably strong head wind I used only 1 bar of battery.
It has by far exceeded my expectations.
I was a little hesitant to commit to buying one because I would have preferred a bigger battery with more amp hours, but that being said it is more than capable and the option of being able to switch to using a spare battery more than makes up for it.
So pleased I bought it.
Thanks for your reply. Yes they are great ebikes. Have you got the new spoked wheels or the magnesium ones?
@@christianlewisphotography6910 I bought the 2021 model with the spoked wheels.
@@Ontheroadtourism That's the new lighter version. The 2 I now own have the magnesium wheels.
@@christianlewisphotography6910 I haven’t tried that model, but I am super impressed so far.
I nearly bought the electric Brompton, but thought it was overpriced.
The single speed gearing seems about right as well.
@@Ontheroadtourism Yes the electric Brompton and even other electric bikes of £3000 or more seem too expensive. Hopefully the price will come down at some point.
Nice review. Some friendly advice tells us all the specs and do steep hills etc.
I went to the website and the spec is bad, not worth buying.
@@Sal112350 on paper I thought the same and was a little sceptical, but after owning one for a few weeks now I have to say it is better than the specs would suggest.
I have other regular bikes which cost 5k upwards and I am quite particular on what I ride.
The MiRider is very functional and is an ideal bike for local journeys and I have done 30 mile trips and have found it extremely comfortable and capable. For the cost it is a hard bike to beat.
Whats it like up a big hill? Where one could really do with the assistance? Thanks
From 4:11 is a steep hill
goo.gl/maps/oQWLjowC4VixSjQ1A and it went up that ok.
Hi guys I bought a similar model from China but it arrived with the folding hinge broken. Anyone have any advice where I could get it fixed/replaced? Thanks
Best to contact the people you purchased it from in China. The hinge is a big part of the frame I believe, so sounds like you might need a complete new one.
3 yrs on . Would you still recommend
Great review, but would have been helpful if the riders mentioned their rough height, weight etc.
Asking a lady her weight. I would not dare 😂 Nick and Simon were 6' and about 14 stone. Daniel was about 5' 6" and lighter.
@@christianlewisphotography6910 Yes, very good point!! LOL, That's great, thanks for the info!
The bike can handle up to 120kg according to specs on amazon
Hasan You can find Mirider information on their website. mirider.co.uk/product/2020-mirider-one/
@@christianlewisphotography6910 what if your 6.1 and heavier than 14 stone, say over 18..
Great review. I tried the Eovolt Morning with the 16" wheels today and loved it and I loved the fact it had 4 gears which totally helped.
For people that own the MiRider, what's it like without the gears?
I have a MiRider and it doesn’t really need gears. It has 5 level settings and and it accelerates to the maximum 15.5mph quickly and effortlessly. Less to go wrong too.
@@marcandsebe
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that about less to go wrong, but with the gears, in theory you'll get more miles out the battery as this is what I'm thinking. I really love the look of the MiRider.
@@_6079SMITH I get 30 miles out of it. I’m a keep it simple type of guy. I think on a folding bike, it’s better to have no gears.
Hello, I am French and I thank you for your video. This bike looks very interesting. Only I am a little lost. There is this MiRider One, in France we have the Yeep Me 1600, and in other countries I saw that there was also the Onebot s6. They seem to be all identical, except the price which can double on certain models (Yeep Me 1600), without this being really justified. Are they all the same bikes, bikes that are rebadged according to the brand of the supplier? It's hard to find the answer, if you ever know. Thank you very much and wish you a good day. Sincerely, Renaud
There are many versions of this bike using the same frame. MiRider assemble and have upgraded many parts on the UK specification e bike.
This is the MiRider setup in the UK.

Battery handle on mirider snapped. How do you remove battery without handle to charge it. 🤷♀️ thanks
I would give MiRider a call. They were very helpful with my one.
@@marcandsebe ok, thank you for that. 👍🏻
Can you roll it along once folded? So as not to really carry it. Also, when battery is flat, is it easy to pedal like a normal bike?
RA B It does have a small wheel once folded and it can be rolled along, but not sure how easy it would over a long distance.
@@christianlewisphotography6910 Can you please answer the second part of the question regarding if it's just like pedaling a normal bike when battery is flat or turned off?
Choose Vegan Yes it can still be cycled with power off or battery depleted.
@@christianlewisphotography6910 Great to hear. Unfortunately I just purchased a high end escooter yesterday. See you on the streets 🛴
Choose Vegan Had a high end e scooter and sent it back for a return. Kept getting pulled over by police.
Nice video it would be good with just, some specs.
Even just a few please 😥

Can the 15.5mph be restricted to allow it to go faster? On private property of course :)
I think it can be de restricted.
before i buy any videos going up hills so i couldl tell the ones i want it for
Sorry I don’t understand what you are saying.
isn't the bike the same as the Onebot s6 ,also Jupiterbike and the G-Bike minieco which all originate from china
Contact MiRider to find out.

What's the performance when going up hills?
It makes it easy to get up them.
@@christianlewisphotography6910 do you get stuck due to the small wheels?
@@javierf.troncoso4046 If you watch the video you will see it being used in various locations and the wheels have never got stuck. They area reasonably chunky too.
Does it wheel easily while folded?
@@krzysztof5663 I don’t find the majority of fold up bikes whether standard or electric easy to wheel around in the folded position and the MiRider is no exception. I find it easier to wheel in the riding configuration.
am 6.1 would i look like a clown on it?
I'm 6’1” and it's fine for me.
Can you tell me how much this bike costs please?
Please check out their website for costs.
mirider.co.uk/2021-mirider-one-overview/
ok thanks.
Is this the same as the ONEBOT S6?
I purchased one of these and asked the same question. I found out it's the same frame as used by Onebot, but nearly all the other parts have been replaced by MiRider for better quality ones. The seat post is a double telescopic one, the handlebar stem adjusts in height. Rear motor has been replaced with a better one along with the controller. For me it's assembled in the UK and comes with a British guarantee. S6 comes from China and if I had any problems, it would be a nightmare for me.
@@marcandsebe where did you buy it from. Having a nightmare finding one in 🇬🇧
@@patrick2rob I purchased it from Powerbikes UK as an ex demo.

I don't think they have them now. You can get them direct from MiRider and their customer service is excellent.

I Don't like the tiny wheels very unstable.
I rode it myself for around 30 miles and it’s not unstable. It rides very nicely. It’s a compromise with fold up bikes. They just have to have smaller wheels to make them more compact.
Hope someone give me one 😇🙏😢
