    One point to mention is that the electric boost works without pedalling so for example if your at the foot of a hill and press the button it will get you up to 4mph making your start effortless! Me and my wife have had our MIRIDER ones for a few weeks and we absolutely love them. We chose the chunky tyre option and they offer so much more grip on mud and gravel. Go buy one, it won't disappoint, I promise.

    Test rode this and an Estarli e20. Both very impressive, but the estarli felt much more stable and the real issue came when I got a photo of me on it - if you’re 6ft+ it looks like a clown bike. Vanity won and I bought the e20, no regrets - I don’t think you can go far wrong with folding ebikes. Try a few and ask to get a photo of you on it is my top tip!

Although annoying for a 2k plus purchase MiRider support is excellent and I've been able to get the issues sorted next day at a local retailer all under warranty. Just one comment on the video re taking them abroad in the back of your camper...be carful customs across the EU are finally catching up with the new rules and you may need an ATA Carnet for the bikes

      @danimayb 2 года назад +1

      Yep. Anyone taking goods in excess of €430 from a non-EU country to the EU is required to declare them, and if necessary, pay the required tariffs. This is not a new EU rule, it is something the UK actually helped to draft while a member of the EU (oh well lol). To avoid paying on spot duty and VAT fees coming in and then back out of the EU while traveling you need to purchase a customs carnet for temporary import. Brexit now means this rule applies to the UK.. But not Northern Ireland - As the agreed NI Protocol.

    Good vid, a rather niche bike and some what expensive at £1,600 in the UK. The fact it has a mag frame rather than ally, in my opinion, has reduced the market for this bike as most peseants would rather pay less for this bike in ally. Mag frames have their own set of issues in terms of longevity. I converted my own mountain bike to an e-bike for £450 and it can even propel me up pretty steep hills. Something the m-bike would not do....I expect the e-bike would only cope with flat or very slight incline once it had a 120kg person on it.

    • @briansture4353
      @briansture4353 3 месяца назад

      Costly no, if you keep it for ten years. Now divide the cost by 3650 days to give you a daily cost it is not a lot (45p) for what you get its a big saving in fuel cost and pollution.

    • @billienomates1606
      @billienomates1606 3 месяца назад

      @@briansture4353 A little bit extreme in trying to make it out to be so cost effective as opposed to build your own from a bike you may already have by you do have a fairly valid point. As to fuel cost and pollution I would have to disagree on the pollution aspect as a non e.v. bike doe not produce pollution other than the grunting cyclist aboard the contraption. Also 'big saving in fuel cost' a non e.v. push bike uses the human to propel it from the food they eat and they eat food any way so I do not see where you would be going with this.
      Still each to their own.

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
