    So awesome to hear all the stories. You have a special relationship with your Dad. He taught you and now you have done the same with Lilly. Bonding over fishing, I can think of nothing better. The Gahagan family is blessed. Keep making life long memories.

    Your love of fishing shows what a great history you two have fishing, thanks for sharing. You are right for me I am more affected by the loss of the one huge fish I lost overpowering it than all the others I caught, it takes alot of time on the water to learn how to catch fish and you have to be willing to keep learning

      I remember Geo from 30 years ago. I first mated for him a few times on the limit lips. I was Tim Taylor's first mate back then. More recently Todd's first mate on the slammin salmon. I'm better known as trucker in sheboygan.

    Most people have a hard time imagining 100 trips in one season. 200 years after year is incredible.

    Awesome information. I learned a lot. Rubber band on a downrigger? Where and what for?

    • @ryanbrand3946
      @ryanbrand3946 2 года назад

      It is hitched around the line instead of a release. The rubber band breaks instead.

    Also speaking for myself I like to do it myself but I will also do a Charter trip with a friendly and helpful Captain to return the favor and also learn

    So for new equipment do you recommend taking hooks,leaders,lures,etc and rubbing them in the fish's mouth to "break them in"?

    If you are in that 40 feet water mark, What is your setback ? vs 80-120 ft

    Geo may be the best fisherman in sheboygan. Even dumper learned from him.

    No respect for dumper Dan and his crew. On numerous occasions ive been fishing the end of the pier in plain sight the cut the corner wit there riggers down and just clean my lines and even lost a rod
