Congratulations to Dax on his first deer!
Awesome Dax! Love seeing farmers getting a good harvest! With input prices, you definitely deserve it!
Congratulations to Dax! I have watched since day one and it has been great watching your kids grow up. I hope to see them on the farm more in the future!!
Thanks for sharing buddy thank you mrs brown for keeping everything going around there
Packing away the boooshels. I always appreciate Mr Bob’s willingness to embrace new technologies when it comes to the farm. Someone make the man an official “All combine settings expert” certification plaque.
Another great video Brian. I've lived harvest vicariously through you guys this fall. Way to go Dax your first of many deer I hope
Exactly what I was looking for Brian Fendt vs Gleaner
Way to go Dax!!! (they really enjoy "cab corn", so keep watching those areas where dad had a spill ;-)
What a great family 🙂
Hope they get that Gleaner figured out soon, thats just got to be sooo frustrating!!!
Congratulations Dax! Awesome job!!
Congratulations to Dax on his first deer. A very exciting thing for both Dax & Dad.
Congrats on the yields!! Keep em coming!!
Congratulations young man! Nice Buck!
I was watching a larsons farms video the other day. They changed the chains on the corn head like 9 paddles and went to 6 paddles and that helped with the garbage going through the head.
Recently rode with a friend in an S780 running a 712F John Deere head. Head was piling up on the two rows that had brushes on the gathering chains. The others did fine. This is the first year with that machine and head. Previous was a 2014 S680 with a 612C head. Same variant of corn same yield. Spent hours in that old machine and it NEVER did that. Never had the brushes. Always good for 5.5-6 mph in 200-220bu corn. I will say that this year was much drier than previous.
Brian-ur boy looked so tickled and proud of his first buck. way to go~
We just had one of them combines here in Iowa.. as a demo they did good
Congratulations Dax!
Great video!…I really enjoy the non biased comparison. Most guys that run different colors will never give it to you straight on less levels and where they come from…they try a convince themselves their color is better
Combines cost to much to bs myself lol
Congrats on your first deer, Dax. Good job bud.
Good explanation between the machines, even in a way a non-farmer like myself could make sense of it.
Congratulations little man
Thanks for the great comparison of both machines.
Congratulations Dax Great starter buck. Now you can start looking for gun season buck.
Good shot Dax. Congratulations
here in germany we like the chopping or mulching cornheads because they destroy the stalk fully which leaves no space for a specific bug that robs alot of yield
having the chopping head means u dont need to run another pass with a tractor
Congratulations Dax that’s awesome.
Mornin! Brian, I was told to change from a 9 paddle gathering chain to a 6 paddle. It helps with trash and plugging plus butt shelling. I may have the numbers wrong on that. 😂 you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Well done Marksman Dax, congratulations on the first one.
Kondex kx7 concaves could be worth a try. We've sold quite a few sets this year. I definitely suggest you give them a look. Very adjustable
Congratulations Dax 🦌
Make sure you get it worked guy around here had them in 2009 it laid down in a matt of trash never dried out that fall, thry didn't use it again and never bought one again. They did say it was nice but sure stayed wet in a wet fall corn on corn was great for it
Great video guys knocking out them out
Wow his first deer at his age WITH cross bow! BRAVO!
Love the video Brian and Congrats Dax chuting his first Deer .
Great video. Good info on machines and heads
Congrats again Dax!
I like BJs explanations. Good teacher
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!
Congratulations Dax.
As I don't come from a farming background, I find the farming details you provide throughout your videos to be very interesting. I feel that I receive a two-for when viewing your videos, education and entertainment. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching
Congratulations Dax on a awesome buck
Some companies are always "well you didn't have the right equipment for that situation" answer or "nobody brakes that part" but they have a shelf full of that part. Glad "Ohio Ag" is taking care of you through your troubles. Is that one of the first new model out? Dax can't believe he got one and is very happy for getting one. Wish he was in MN as we need a good thinning of the herd.
Congratulations Dax
Congrats to your son.
Nice job Dax!
Well done Dax!
well done Dax nice shot
Congratulation Dax very cool, thanks for the video Brian
SUPERB VIDEO.... THANK YOU AND ALWAYS PROUD OF Y'ALL 😀
Congrats Dax on your deer!!
Saw a John Deere S790 driving in town today (near the Columbus airport). Haven't seen that in ages.
we tried some brush gathering chains in the center made a difference but they were wore out after one season
Good job, Dax!
Another one men. I remember my first buck. It was a 5 point. Got it with a Chevy caprice
😅
Congratulations to your son in his deer. I’d like to try a crossbow sometime.
I have only been running the major bigger combines (not trying to patronise:) and my favorites are the Ideal and Lexion in threshing quality, comfort and fuel burn. The Ideal is by far the quietest one, so I don't understand why this one is noicy? I have not tried a Gleaner so you have the advantage there. Both the AGCO and John Deere corn heads are in my opinion old technology. Seems like your yields are very good.
The ideal for the 2023 models they are changing the approach angle on the auger so it should be better. We have that issue with our ideals and I guess enough people complained about it.
thank you
Awesome buck Dax. That’s a real trophy. Hope I get a nice one like that.
Talk to the Cornstar he had the same problem with head loss.. The manufacturer of the head he is using made a change with the gatherers went from 9 to six and installed so plastic fingers inside the head loss went way down. The head plugging went done too.
My oh my Dax. That is a milestone event and the freezer will be happy.
Congrats Dax on you first dear. Carl
Good job Dax
Great job young man great job
Should try a drago. We used to bring a lot of trash in our John Deere head and went to drago and self adjusting deck plates helped wit trash and head shelling
Hell yeah Dax , great job my man
Good job on the deer little buddy deer hunting started here in minnesota on the 5th the high today was in the 30s....northwest mn im 7 miles from the canadian border way to many deer in mn.
Nice work dax!!!
Great job Dax
Have you tried slowing the head down? I've seen that work more times than not. However some varieties will shell at the head worse than others. Like the videos, keep them coming.
Nice job Dax! Good lookin buck!
Good job on getting the deer Dax 👍
Have you demoed a DRAGO cornhead.....
A lot of "out of the box" design features....
Good comments ....
The dry conditions are affecting everyone this year
Glad to see the Gleaner back in the field. Let her eat!
Way to go Dax. ❤. Thanks for the comparison Brain
,,,,,,,,, CONGRATS Dax on the Dear,,,, Food for the Family,,,
Mornin! Great video
When comparing lemons it may be wise to make lemonade or in this case corn syrup.
Great Photo of your Boy with Deer Buck Brian, now as far as the harvesters Brian, the Gleaner in the long run stands out much better its designed by USA Farmers its features, A Quieter in Cabin, easy to operate Better fuel consumption, very clean samples, easy put through , Cheaper to Buy, Back up service Fantastic, Best Warranty you can get with all its break in time, on whole a Wonderful combine, every Combine has its issues from the start, once these are sorted out , its fine sailing from there, Brain your Dad was on track getting the Gleaner going ,He knows his Combines, Regards & Best Wishes to you All, Cheers for now Trevor.W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia
Congratulations Dax way to go . Deer sticks and summer Sausage for gun season
Congratulations to Dax on his first deer with a crossbow, nice job!
Great video good to see y'all nice Deer 🦌🦌🦌
Good job Dax !!! We want an interview !!! Lol
Back in my old days at CaseIH, we needed to supply a chopping corn head for Europe - they wouldn't buy a combine/corn head without it. In America, farmers would not tolerate the power lost to the chopping head and how much it slowed harvest rate. Our input was American farmers wanting stalks shredded would rather make a pass with a shredder. In the 90s we ended up not exporting corn heads to Europe and sourced a European corn head built in Hungary. Your Devastators seem to do a much better job - they rob some power but I don't think anything compared to the chopping blades.
Think twice on the 360 chains. Had them on a Drago chopping head. Terrible buildup of debris. Had to take knives off in order to run. Wrapped around top of chains too. Did cut butt shelling way down. Very expensive addition for the issues they have. Chopping heads take too much power.
Congratulations to your son with the first deer! If you get time look at a Drago Gt corn head cut your head loss to almost nothing like the one we have
Congrats to DAX, way to go man, it so happens that we are going on a trip next 4days to the south of Germany like half an our north of the fendt factory in marktoberdorf. If you like i will notify them of youre dislikes on the ideal, lol. Anyways thanks Brian greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer and i liked this one 4times so you know
Congratulations to Dax on the deer, that Fendt with the chopping blades should have stock stompers on it like Chet and Zach combine
Congratulations on your first buck...
17:11 Cool Pic!
I feel like the devastators would function better in corn, just due to breaking up the stalk to decay quicker, but the trade-off being that they would create more trash that you have to penetrate to get to the ground. I plow in over here on the hill though, lol.
chopper heads are awesome
Yo DAX a cross bow WOW.
Great job💯💯✨🌟🎉🎉✨💯
BJ, I’m a retired Speech Pathologist, specialized in chewing & swallowing disorders. Can’t say as though I treated any grain cart “almost choked to death” patients, but treated many that aspirated food or liquids. Meaning, particles of Wendy’s got into your airway & possibly lungs. You’ll know if you did if you spike a temperature, have problems breathing, & get a bad cough.
Congratulations Dax on your first deer you did better than me at your age I got a small button buck on my second year I couldn’t pull the trigger on my first year I was scared to lol 😂
Chet Larson was having that issue with the head. The swapped gathering chains and it solved it. Cannot remember what the difference was think it was less paddles?
A great first buck! 👍😁
Congrats on your deer
Great video as always guys, well done Dax on bagging your first deer 🦌....shootin' tex!
We just put Brushes on! Zero Loss! But it does feed a lot more Trash in.
That chopping corn header uses a lot of power so that’ could be part of the deal we also tied the 360 bushes and worn out after about 800 acres so. Not even a full season before they needed replaced.
That’s what I was afraid of. I’m guessing the yt channel people were referring to had them sponsored
@@BriansFarmingVideos I would guess so we took them off and never looked back not spending money on something that last half a season.
