Even though the Grand Sport is the mid-level Corvette model, garnering a $6000 premium over the base car, but costing significantly less than the purist Z06, it's still an absolute performance bargain, with power, braking, steering, and grip that need make no excuses to any six-figure import. All Grand Sport models have wider tires, thanks to the same wider fenders as the Corvette Z06, narrow spoiler, bigger brakes and a stiffer suspension, and a hood scoop. Exterior changes also include front fender badging and some additional fender slits.
The C6 Corvette is generally awesome, and the Grand Sport trim makes it even more so, with its fairly subtle but cool styling touches and modest performance upgrades, and is definitely worth the price premium.

Man. This is a wet sump car. It's a automatic. They never made a C6 GS with a auto and Dry Sump. Also, the placement of the dipstick to measure from the oil pan and not the RF fender mounted reservoir, tells you that it's a wet sump. And the fact that the battery is mounted in the front instead of the rear. You got a Z06. You should know that.

Even though it's a cool car... There's no replacement for displacement. The LS7 still has a 0.8 gap over the LS3. It might not be a lot, but it definitely does make a difference

If you're running your C7 Z06 in track mode, you'll feel a lag. If you are running in sport mode, you won't feel the lag.
Z06 aluminum frame will lead to the car being totaled if its damaged in a crash, you can fix the gs. Dry sump in the gs is only available in the manual tranny version
Most of these types of cars are done after a big crash. Just gotta do everything you can to keep them from that 🤷🏻♂️

C6 ZO6 vs GS? Same people who would take a Civic SI over a Type R! Lol 😆. The aluminum frame and displacement(LS7) is a major difference. Only thing GS has over the Z is automatic transmission option for the people who don't like shifting.
Also, the GS has a removeable top and the valves don't drop in the LS3.

@@rickvang7313 I'm not knocking the Z06. They're great cars. I'm just acknowledging the Achilles heel of the LS7. It'd suck to get a new car and immediately have to tear into the engine and replace the heads. GM should've admitted the manufacturing defect and issued a recall. Crate LS7's ain't cheap.
