  • After suffering a hemorrhagic stroke, Jaime was admitted to HHH requiring assistance for all activities of daily living. He struggled with upright mobility and experienced significant weakness throughout his right upper and lower extremities.
But Jaime overcame these overwhelming odds with a powerful determination to regain his independence and a positive spirit that lifted up all of those around him. He regained his ability to perform all tasks-even running, jumping, and driving-while encouraging his fellow patients to achieve their best lives too.
For his incredible achievements and his dedication to his fellow patients, Jaime was presented with the Helen Hayes MacArthur Rose Award at the 119th Helen Hayes Hospital Honors Assembly on September 17, 2019.
