Say hello to @griffinsteinfeld5164 and his other "daily driver". This dude owns a smartcar...and then one of the biggest "pickup trucks" you can buy before just having an actual semi-truck. This is a SportChassis, which has some serious towing capacity (the actual reason he got this), but is also just ridiculously massive. Enjoy some shenanigans, messing around, and some moderately serious consumer advice from Griffin and I. Also, there's an acceleration test between this and his smartcar. The results may surprise you. Make sure you also check out our video on his smartcar, that one was hilarious!

When he honked in the engine scoop area, he made me shake my phone too watching this lmaooo
😂😂😂
Solid daily
Super practical and efficient
Um, technically, it can be classified as a real pickup truck. I've seen one in my city with a full size truck bed. And yes, it's hydraulic so it's also a DUMP TRUCK!! That's a nice perk to have, will save your back if hauling huge amounts of sand or similar stuff. To those who doubt this truck's strength, I dare you to call Freightliner for specs. They rate the towing power on current models at a whopping 30,000 pounds. I've seen a family haul "short" trailers with this kind of truck, then drive back to the RV campground, hitch up their equally massive fifth wheel and take off for the next state. I guess that's where they get extra money to support the fuel costs...
Also, saw one at a car show and the Freightliner rep said that all trucks like this come standard with a powerfold couch so if you buy this, you get it with the cost. Also, no two are alike. They will have a designer personalize the interior for you. You can have black leather with carbon fiber paneling or just keep it classy with walnut and white leather.
This and the Smart Car video were both great! Was laughing a good amount.
Glad you enjoyed them!
My favorite truck !!! Except for the $$$$
I drove one OTR hot shot with a 48ft gooseneck, it did fine. Hauled a LOT of freight and made good $$ Yes I had DOT #s and CDL everything a big truck has.
Is the backseat A DOT approved sleeper?
@@jeffgreen9109 Yes, if you ssshhhhh. Got it!
Air seat adjustments was too funny 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I was so amused
As a truck driver. You have to get air endorsements on your license to drive that thing
i almost forgot how much torque an unloaded semi trucks has
6:49 video switched from Griffin's Truck review to how to kill Griffin hahahaha your videos together are SO FUNNY! btw didn't expect the truck to beat the smart car that it's lighter. Impressive (or Smart car sucks LOL)
Iconic duo😂
4:07 perfectly cut scream
yaaaassss the duos back again 😂🥰
🙌🙌🙌
I ABSOLUTELY lost it at 6:36 Griffin’s set up was next level 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was traumatizing 😂
Do you need a cdl to drive this truck?
No, but if you're towing a trailer for commercial use that bring you gvwr over 26k you need a CDL.
How does this NOT require at least a CDL B?
Most likely because it’s not as big and long as a truck that would require a cdl B
It’s still basically a class 5 truck I think. Unless you get the upgrade version with air brakes.
Great video. Love your truck.
Best trucks ever!! I'll never tow with anything else!
arms race to the biggest and heaviest vehicle on our roads
Two idiots fits you guys so good...
Another video i watched had this truck listed at a base price of 8 grand. I don't believe them.
How much !!!!
Is this truck smaller than a freightliner fl50 and does it have air ride or a jake brake
If I could get one I would love it
Did the insurance company still insure you ive been shopping around and they all want commercial insurance not just regular insurance even though all i do is haul an rv
what was the result for you on the insurance?
@QuadTap somehow the wife was able to get an insurance broker to get us set up on a progressive policy non-commercial for 1700 PIF a year for reference we pay about 75 a month for a 2006 and 2007 chevy 1/2 tons
@QuadTap if you don't plan on using it for towing have a inclosed storage and just drive it around hagerty had some good rates because ours was over 25 years considered a classic
It's under 26.000 u don't need a cdl
