God, that crowd was all over the place. Hitting Brandon's djembe, jumping on stage, singing into the microphone, crowd surfing. Literally the definition of a 90s crowd.
I looove how old school Incubus stuff is still being posted today. In school I’d watch their early live shows like this during study hall haha and to know they’re still being posted and people are still watching them is just awesome
honestly didn't know spain rocked like this. i've been to rock shows in spain (although not in this era and not this kind of rock) and it felt like europe. this crowd though? feels like california.
First time I saw these guys they opened up for Limp Bizkit at HOB NOLA. Had no idea who they were. This guy comes out with a Didgeridoo and I’m like WTF! Then the guitar starts, jun Jen jun Jen jun Jen jun Jen, then the bass Bomp, Bomp, Bomp, and then Brandon, “THOW, THA”! The whole place starts jumping. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Bought S.C.I.E.N.C.E the next day, and listened to it for 2 years straight. It never left the CD player. Then “Make Yourself” came out. Liked the album but could see what was starting to happen. MOTHER EFFING MONEY HAPPENED! They sold out. HARD!
Redefine was a game changer... Ironic the name.... But ya science never left my cd player. I remember buying make yourself the day it came out.... And I was so upset!!!! I gave it a couple more tries and not gonna lie.... I threw that shit out my car window I was so upset.... But hey.... They found success... Good for them... And they make alot of be happy.... I can't hate too much lol
@@Mrbungleface0u818make yourself is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard in my life. I saw them during the science era and loved them. That album holds up so well but bands change and they make music that inspires them. I've learned to be at peace with that and be thankful they make anything that's great. Into the summer is one of the songs I listen to most by them now. They still make awesome music, even if it isn't heavy anymore.
Incubus went from a heavy funk/hip-hop-inspired nu metal band to just another progressive rock group that made generic sounds with a fraction of their original individuality. The lyrics still remained unique in their philosophy, but the sound became very mainstream.
one coud argue endlessly about which incubus era is the best, but there's one thing that cannot be topped, and it is that crowd!!! Beyond amazing, this concert is a perfect symbiosis of appreciation between the band and their fans.
The era of the white boy dreads 🤣 I remember buying the SCIENCE album on our first overnight pass in basic training in '99, fell in love with them ever since 👍👍

I LOVE SCIENCE, hands down best album, I mean shit it even went gold, kinda wish they'd show more appreciation for that album and Fungus definitely needs more appreciation too honestly. Don't really like how Make Yourself (3rd fav Incubus album) gets a 20 year anniversary, while SCIENCE and Fungus don't even get a mention.
Yea, SCIENCE is their best album IMO (followed by Make Yourself) they did do Vitamin on the Make Yourself 20th Anniversary tour which was cool, but I'd love for them to dig deeper and play more of SCIENCE in the future.
i get how people get older and change their musical likes and dislikes but come on incubus...the crowds are going nuts for these type of funky songs...no one wants to stand around and wave their lighters for each song. i was done with this band when they started to bring out a couch in mid set and play an acoustic song. lol my rants is over. thanks so much for uploading this and all the other gems you’ve uploaded. 🤘🏽
ha anyone notice mikes guitar out of tune during New Skin? Must have been a stage dive from the audience that banged it or something. THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
I was living in BCN in 1998, and saw them opening for Sugar Ray months prior, that night of the video, the bill was: one minute silence, Far and Incubus...amazing and unforgettable night.
I have the When Incubus Attacks DVD which is from the same era, my favorite Incubus era, and it does not capture the craziness of this show. Thanks for sharing! 1:00:25 my favorite part, I bet the band could charge $1k to hit Brandon's bongo during a song now
I was there!!! Thank you for allowing me to relive this concert.
Prime incubus with a proper crowd

Aku the new incibus sucks. they used to span genres and they did it good. now they’revjust another radio friendly mtv band
@@joer-tard2821 that's why the bassisst left the band in time
Before the label incubus :o
wow Deep Inside is SOOOOO good here, they need to bring that back
Ok but Morning View is their best album imo
Love this era of incubus.
28:50 you can clearly hear Nowhere Fast and stellar on that improv.
Holy shit yeah
steller too
God, that crowd was all over the place. Hitting Brandon's djembe, jumping on stage, singing into the microphone, crowd surfing. Literally the definition of a 90s crowd.
This era of this band is completely fucking undefeatable
God damn dude
I looove how old school Incubus stuff is still being posted today. In school I’d watch their early live shows like this during study hall haha and to know they’re still being posted and people are still watching them is just awesome
This the bounciest crowd ever. They were getting airborne over there in spain.

Any band that makes money is basically a sell out.

They "got mature"

I truly miss a world without mobile phones and social media.
Look at that crowd all living in the fucking moment!

Corey Taylor and Brandon had the best white boy dreads
OMG I was there! One of the best concerts I've ever been to!

They hate us for loving SCIENCE, Enjoy, Fungus Amongus and even some Make Yourself, that's why they never play their old stuff anymore
Dante Luna they definitely possess the “I hate our early material” Limp Bizkit syndrome then. What a shame, these songs are fantastic
Dante Luna from Aclm forward, they sucked
jay perfecto it’s the Dirk effect, he was the only one wanting to keep the funk style
@@danteluna8322 they always play make yourself and science even nowadays
Security guard having a tough night here. Really working during New Skin.
New skin !!! What a song man. Damn. Its been awhile not listen to that ! Totally almost forget
I was at this show!!! I was 16 and did a year abroad in Barcelona my junior year of high school. This club was dope: "Sala Bikini"
Me too, and I was 17! Amazing show.
YES!! the BEST era of Incubus!!!!!!! Thank you!!
el mejor video publicado en youtube de incubus . donde esta la máquina dle tiempo para ir a esto!
Im from Spain and i Watched them 2002 in Madrid with hoobastank and 311 and in 2005 in crazy festinad. 18 f...ing years ago. thanks for this vídeos.
ha anyone notice mikes guitar out of tune during New Skin? Must have been a stage dive from the audience that banged it or something. THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
A fan jumped on stage. He might have collided with Mike's guitar tuning pegs.
Thank you very much, I was waiting for this! Best Incubus era

Bro the security guard during New Skin was sweating bullets 😂😂 "gawd damn they are everywhere! EVERYWHERE I TELL YA!"

That's awesome Far was an opening band. I highly recommend them. Great Post-Hardcore / Emo band.

when they were actually good
the jeans were huge in that room
Bro asi de buenos eran en vivo??? en la era Science? es impresionante lo que ven mis ojos, no se porque esta banda es tan infravalorada
2012 has come and gone now
Dat BASS :)
1997-1999 was there best
11:37 the crowd haha. This is awesome.
I would’ve killed to see them back in their FNM/Bungle worship era.
They never return to this funky style
Those album they made from science to latest never gets nearer this first album....
I wonder if this was Kilmore's first show with Incubus?
It could have been, Lyfe got the boot half way through the science your
Anyone know that sample that kilmore uses at the beginning show? The goofy one?
joder, ahi estaba yo nen
2:24 LEMME BE THERE 😔
They're biggest fans are Portuguese
They are nothing but an eroded band today...
With all due respect, dj lyfe was way better.
How?
hell no!
