The good old days. Never forget 2002 and discovering XX.
Same here me and my cuz we're like this is amazing
💀🌙🥷🏽🦅
Imagine having to put on the costumes, makeup, set up and soundcheck all the instruments including 5 keyboards, etc. and they give you 18 minutes of time. Wish they played more!
Thats Ozzfest for you.......Just to think its pay to play as well.........I think MH had to pay 10-20k to play for that 18 mins..........
@@darkallyrecordings4931no wonder why ozzfest fucked so many bands over 😂
@@darkallyrecordings4931 Universal Records handled all of that. Gravy talked about it in a interview.
That's how festivals go usually
In 2004-2005, my friends and I got to help set up their gear and stuff on stage at a music complex here in Arlington, Tx called Dreamworld, showed up around 10/11 am, helped set up the drums/drum stage, skinny's keyboards, amps, everything. Got to hang out with most the band, think Jeffrey was asleep for most the day then came out and they got suited up and we got to watch the show from side stage as extra security, was a great experience and one ill never forget. I remember opening one of the boxes for the toms, joked about tucking it under my shirt and running off with it 😅
3:49 Jeff had a staring contest with the camera and lost
Best Era Mushroomhead
As yes, og Mushroomhead, not skinny and his buddies on tour like it is now

Fucking love this era of Mushroomhead. Such a sick footage, really high quality, so thank you for this fantastic content.
This channel is absolutely necessary for music and live shows preservation.
Edit : you forgot Jack "Pig Benis" Kilcoyne and Marko "Bronson" Vukcevich in the description
THIS IS THE ONLY MH WORTH A FUK
@@jeremydunn7444 XIII fucking slaps though. With the unfortunate death of JJ Righteous, that's the next best thing we could ever get.
Self titled to Savior Sorrow was Mushroomhead's golden era. The Righteous and The Butterfly was pretty good as well
@@user-ml6hf6fp5f but it is their worst album.
Solitaire is such a crazy song. That and save us two of my favorites
RIP stacy D Hatrix 🙏
The idea that Mushroomhead wasn't bigger than Slipknot is beyond me. This band had so much more to offer. Just listen to J Mann spit. Listen to Jeff. The band itself is great too, but these two singers were just incredible. There is nothing else like them together. Waylon is an honorable mention, but this is first article and perfect even live.
Both bands energy is incredible af, but nothing beats Slipknot’s prime insanely I don’t give a fuck energy in 1999-2004 it was pure relentless 🔥🔥 fighting on stage, lighting each other on fire, fucking insane synchronized headbanging
@@WaterKingCrocodoan In my honest opinion, Slipknot's first album was a milestone, but everything since has been recycled reruns. Personally, I like Stone Sour better. Come on. Gimmicks, a cult following and antics on stage and a cool logo. They basically copied and pasted the KISS army or Juggalos thing. The crazy thing is more people know who Corey Taylor is than they do Jonathan Davis or Phil Anselmo. Believe it or not, Jeff Hatrix was one of these great pioneers too. I actually have one his old cassettes from 1989.
Well I mean shroomhead never went mainstream like slipknot did, shroomhead not going mainstream didn't really allow there audience to grow much. I agree shroomhead is better than the know but they just never were able to do what Corey and the guys pulled off over the years.
You're stretching a lot with this comment!
Mushroomhead is much less cringe to listen to as an adult than Slipknot, not to mention all the instrumentalists, including the keyboardist are fully featured on the albums and performances and aren't just creating background noise thats mostly drowned out in the mix. Way more talented, even if they aren't as "fast" and their lyrics are surely more profound than Slipknot's as well.
I was there, what a great day! 🎶 🤘🏽🤘🏽 🎵
LOL for like 30 years jeffery nothing just stands there wiggles his head back and fouth stares in the distance and never moves
Ikr but give the mofo credit for standing still without the urge to move. Is he glued to the floor or something?
You can tell he is in his zone
Thats´s what gives him such a fucking badass stage presence.
It's his character. He even uses a canteen belt for water instead of a water bottle. He's like a living scarecrow...or at least that's how I took it.
He does nothing...
Prime time. Great performance.
OZZFEST 2002 was my first time seeing Mushroomhead live. Was at the sandstone amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas 🤘 and then right after they were done performing I went over and got all members autographs.
They didn’t play at my Ozzfest that year.
One of the best best bands to ever grace the music industry and earth 🤘🏼🎸🥁

This was a great line up for them
This is a gem! Thanks for sharing.
8:20 best song
Wow pig benis has so much fucking energy wowo its amazing
I was 4 days old when this concert took place
I born the next year from this concert
Been a long time. Thanks for sharing
I've seen mushroomhead twice and these guys put on such an amazing show in terms of performance and theatrics, i've actually uploaded a video on my channel of the first time I saw them. You honestly feel like you should have paid more, it was that good, Jeffery and J mann gave everything they had
I'm actually going to see them next month in London with the 2 new singers for the first time and I'm not sure what to expect live but the 2 songs they released off their new album are bangers, I got my fingers crossed they perform "prepackaged"
Ohh thanks dude!! Mushroomhead!!
Word! Thanks for sharing. Solid gig.
While I do enjoy the new era Mushroomhead, the early 2000's era will always be my favorite time eras.

EDITED: I've removed the word "Vibes" off my comment because that word is extremely overused & it's getting annoying.
nostalgia pura na moral, era muito raro encontrar esses shows na internet pra baixar, tempo bom
2002 Ozzfest! My brother and I were at Alpine Valley for this one. I remember Down, Hatebreed and Mushroom Head were the bands we couldn't wait to see. Also the 1st time we saw Il Nino.
Opening 2 songs felt rushed, tempo was tough to keep up with, still an amazing performance, best era of mushroomhead
I believe some bands increase tempo in certain songs to be able to fit more songs in their set
Hometown Heros!! Cleveland Legends #216
God I would have loved to have seen this live!
Solitaire Unraveling sounds just like the album version.
I was at this!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
This is the mushroomhead I remember. They were amazing back then ... Now..not so much
The good ole days
Marko "Bronson" Vukcevich - guitars (2001-2005); samples, turntables (1998-2001)
Great video, always thought MH had more in common with Faith No More musically than slipknot.
Bien Chileno. Banda culia bkn. Esta formacion es la que mas recuerdo. Años escuchando estas bestias. Los en vivo que tiene son con buen sonido. Para ser sacados de VHS.

corey taylor loved fred durst
WOW.....NO CELLPHONES.....HOW A METAL SHOW SUPPOSED TO LOOK.....
Looks hot
Ozzfest was almost always hot
why are there two guitarists at that time?
They always had 2 guitar players in the early days from the beginning. My friend John Sekula ["JJ Righteous"] was one of them that started the band.
@@asherasator Rest In Peace, JJ
Because Gravy shreds, Bronson used to play rhythms only if I recall well

@@geemoney916 Slipknot was first. Shroom is just copycat and not really good one. When corey left they become just a cover-band with bad sound.
@@geemoney916 Damn mate, why are you so hostile? this band don't even know you exist ;) and nobody cares about your opinions. Jeffrey nothing band is far superior than nowdays shroom (wannabe slipknot).

God, i didnt Slipknot used to be this bad
Bad what ???.. hell no
Obligatory "Slipknot is better" comment.
Oh boy here we go again..... (-_-)
Lol no.
For you not for me.
I think their point was that Mushroomhead was constantly compared to Slipknot because they were 8 members (vs 9 for Slipknot), and they wore masks.
The truth is, they sound nothing alike, and therefore there's no point in comparing them.
@@ArpeggioPegasusMusic I agree
Lame poor man’s slipknot
still worst metal band 😂😂😂
Why?
This Slipknot cover band sucks
mushroomhead was born in 1992, slipknot in 1995
