That is what we need. Not an 18:9 video that cuts of the lower body and ONLY looks good on modern smartphones (no laptops, desktops, TVs, old smartphones). Rather, a 16:9 video that still looks really good in 18:9.
Just a note on multiple cameras with different focal lengths (ie: wide vs. tele): People think that switching focal lengths is the same was walking up a few feet. It's not. Different focal lengths provide a different "field of view" and in simple terms, change the perspective - in a way that walking up closer to your subject doesn't. IN fact, if you shoot with a wide lens and walk closer to your subject, you get more barrel distortion. Just thought I'd share that.
LGs wide angle is much more useful. I agree. But I totally disagree with what LG has done on their new G7. The decreased the angle massively from 125° on the G6 to only 107°. This is just a horrible change just to have a bit less distortion which I absolutely can't understand.
So I'm 40 this year and am still a huge tech head.. however, my dad who used to be a tech head and is now in his 70's doesn't follow it at all.. So you I wonder the same thing, will I lose interest as I age further, I wouldn't think so any time soon, but who knows when I'm 70 what I'll be interested in... So Marques, you have plenty of years ahead of you, thats for sure :) Thanks for the great content.

Awesome video, 2 of the best channels! I noticed quite a bit of comb filtering- maybe try a single supercardioid or hypercardioid mic placed slightly favoring the quieter voice rather than trying to run 2 shotguns in such a tight spot. The Sennheiser MKH50 and Schoeps cmc641 are amazing indoor dialogue mics
Any tips on reducing echo from the voice audio while recording in a room like this? I have a Rode Mic onboard my A7SII but it doesn't sound great while recording talk-to-camera videos. Usually have it on -10dB. Thanksssss
There is none. Not if you decide to shoot with the shotgun on ur camera. The only work around is to put the mic closer to your talent. So either have the shotgun attached to a stand positioned out of frame then extended over your talent pointing down into their chest or use a lav mic. Hope that helps.
