Congratulation. A pleasant walk. Very nice finish with three children. I was in Pokhara in 1998 and I would like to revisit it and with a little luck on a sunny day to contemplate the majestic Annapurna. Thanks for taking us to walk through such simple and beautiful places
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for sharing. I think the city is beautiful and the people are remarkably beautiful. So many different cultures, so different yet so much like my own...
A definite 'like' for this video. We spent 18 days recently sightseeing in Nepal and visited Pokhara. This is the 2nd time we have been here as we also visited 6 years ago on a trekking trip. Hazel.
Ash Jan you should go again I was so lucky and finally got to see my home country this year.! Going next summer so I don’t have to worry about going outside.
This is a beautiful and great documentary video of the Pokhara city, Nepal. I want to thank you for your great and hard work, recording and sharing such a beautiful video. This city began developing only after 1960s, Pokhara has been an important depot of trans-Himalayan trade as well as a staging-point for the ole east-west main road. This nodal character in the circulation pattern has been a potent factor in establishing the region as a precursor of changes in Western Nepal. It is interesting to note that the introduction of modern transport system in Pokhara took place in an inverted sequence. Air plain in 1952, Jeep in 1957 and finally bullock cart in 1961. Again, thank you for recording and sharing this great video.........
beautiful video just months before this latest disaster...wonder what this area looks like now...would love to walk this path with a special someone...L.
+Layna8 Even I have my house in the video! The place is same as before despite some fallen compound walls during the earthquake which have now been restored!
Nice videos! I notice the image 'slips and slides' a bit on the edges sometimes... If your camera has a motion sensing function you might not get that effect if you switch that off. That fixed a similar issue with my camera, anyway.
kees Colijn Where do you plan to travel next?? How about Kazakhstan (It's actually a very well developed country with many beautiful cities), and some african countries ?
+Bimala virata Yeah, I just don't understand.Anyway, I don't go anywhere much these days, Big trip to the supermarket. Not remote. So I enjoy these videos of Kees'.
Well, the author of this video is probably older than 35. Maybe he is already finished with his life´s working duty? Did you ever think of that? That maybe now in old age he can harvest the fruit of his hard work? And start a new business in youtube at the same time? These walking videos will make him rich, as everybody wants to get the feeling to be at a certain place...walking around...for some time. :-)) And with this newly earned money he can travel even more. :-) A brilliant idea.
I am amazed that people completely ignore you as if you were invisible. How you do that? We walked through Pokhara in 1994 and 2004 and people always greeted us in a very friendly and curious way. I loved these encounters very much.
The sidewalks along palace way where redone in Feb '18. Now if they would remove the clutter. ...trees...bushes....poles....motor bikes....people sitting...Maybe the next century?????
Hi,What camera is it to take all these good memorable video.I come from Pokhara and I know all these alleys and streets.Well done for the good capture.
Do you just hold up a video camera the full time? In some of the places I go I know people don't like someone walking around videoing. I'd probably be robbed or kidnapped doing this in Mexico or Colombia.
+Richard's World soy de Colombia y en mi ciudad Medellin esta llena de extranjeros con cámaras por todos lados, hace poco un norteamericano murió en un asalto pero es un caso fortuito.
Robbery rarely happen in Pokhara. It is a very safe place and if u were walking the streets with a camera turned on, they would more likely smile and talk and hope u might put them on film! I lived there for 4 months exactly one year later than this was taken, and Pokhara is exactly the same. It was affected very little by the earthquake. It is the most charming, pleasant, beautiful place I have found to live in South Asia and intend to return soon.
+Joan Matlock hey Joan thank you so much for loving pokhara. I am planning to start a trekking business in pokhara. pls visit my page facebook.com/trektomountains. I wish I could serve you the next time you r here.

Well that's because it's morning time so most of the elder women are doing house work and younger ones are busy attending college or studying in home.If you're worried about safety you don't need to worry about that.

Seems a bit strange, the area is packed with men, ( like in India ) very few women seen walking, and most of the women I saw were foreigners.
Well that's because it's morning time so most of the elder women are doing house work and younger ones are busy attending college or studying in home.If you're worried about safety you don't need to worry about that.
these videos are strangely appealing. Nice work on not fucking it up with talking or music.
Please show maturity.
