HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 янв 2022
- We swap the old 351 cleveland for a 553hp N/A 410ci stroker C4 auto 3800rpm converter.
Redoing the fuel system, painting the engine bay and new exhaust all in the process.
SO WHAT IS BACKSHED ALL ABOUT ?
WE ARE ALL ABOUT SAVING OLD CLASSIC CARS AND MODIFIYING SOME ALONG THE WAY TOO.
WE LOVE THE CLASSIC RESCUE , FIRST WASH ,FIRST START IN YEARS TYPE OF THING, GETTING OLD JUNK RUNNING AND DRIVING THEN PUT BACK ON THE ROAD AFTER YEARS OF BEING LEFT TO ROT IS WHAT WE DO.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR INTO FORD , HOLDEN , CHEVY , BIG BLOCK SMALL BLOCK OR ANYTHING IN BETWEEN WE MIGHT HAVE A VIDEO FOR YOU TO WATCH. IVE HAVE AND HAVE HAD A LOT OF CARS INCLUDING XB COUPE , XY FACLON GT , EH HOLDEN , F100 , VB COMMODORE , HQ SEDAN AND WAGON , CORTINA , VALIANT AND SO MANY MORE SO THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. IN ON OF OUR VIDEOS I PRETTY MUCH WENT TO HEAVEN FINDING A WRECKING YARD / JUNKARD WHERE THERE WAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD DREAM OF INCLUDING A MONARO , CHARGER , VALIANT PACER , A FALCON COUPE , TORANA , CADILLAC , SOME CHEVY'S EVEN SOME JDM CARS LIKE DATSUN , NISSAN SKYLINE , MITSUBISHI SCORPION BUT IT DIDN'T STOP THERE EVEN 4X4 LIKE A HJ 45 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER AND A 60 SERIES WAGON . I REALLY HAVE NO BIAS I LOVE RESCUING THEM ALL SO DO STICK AROUND AS YOUR BOUND TO SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE. CHEERS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WATCH . MICK
Love ya work……. No drama…. No bullshit . Some of the old girls you’ve breathed life back into almost bring a tear to the eye 👁 🎉
I hear ya Scott , they bring memories along with them these cars.
🍺👍
That is one Bad Ass Falcon!
Your story of the nut rolling away to its secret place was so right on. Also the head under the dash story seemed plausible for a nutter like me to swallow, hook, line and sinker.
Hahaha 🍺🍺👍
Wow love this guy. I'm 63yrs and use to fuck around with cars like him but he's way better than me. I so crack up with the things he says. I can so relate to it lol
Well cheers mate and I can’t thankyou enough for watching and commenting mate i really do appreciate it
Stick around mate there’s heaps more coming
🍺🍺👍
That hoist painting idea was genius 👍👍👍
🍺👍
Wow that was grate watching you had pride and joy doing that love watching you do this sort of work
Cheers mate🍺👍
You make every task ahead seem so easy 🤣🤣 love your work car washed up well sounds way better after the new gaskets went in I bet it sounds even better in person 👌🏽
It sure does Ethan
Thanks for watching mate I do really appreciate it
Cheers 🍺🍺👍
Really enjoyed watching your work and the tips. Wish I knew that master cylinder one a couple of months ago, no stripped threads luckily but a PIA to do
Yep those lines a tough to get in if everything is tightened up first.
Glad you enjoyed it
Heaps more common nah soon mate.
Beautiful car😘. Nice engine choice👍👍🚙.. Had phase 3. Was not good when I got it. Plenty of blood sweat and tears later. Gorgeous ❤️
Cheers Douglas 🍺👍
Jet, just found this. Great job, great tips...
One for you... If brake line fittings too tight for open ender before I destroy them with pipe spanner I use a good set of square jaw vice grips, nice and tight & they break. I think the compression of the jaws brakes the aged & corroded bond on the thread... Hope it helps in the future. Cheers Mike
👍👍
There is a store here in Australia that have Holden Commodore conversion kits that go from VB - VC - VH - VK - VL these are power window conversion kits, the place is called HoldCom - Holden Commodore Parts
Man I laughed at the give yourself an uppercut. Did the same thing pulling apart my HQ I "restored" when I was 21 and now I'm back doing it properly at 40. The shit you did to hold a car together back then hey :)
Hahhaha yep Hannah thanks heaps for the comment , flick me a pic of your HQ on Instagram or Facebook? We both should be grateful we still have cars we’ve had for so many yrs. Too often I see the story of what people had to sell when they were young. We have put up a HQ video if you haven’t seen it check it out.
Love the xy. Beautiful 💜. What a beast
Falcon gives me Running On Empty vibes 👌
💪💪🍺👍
Mate that is a credit to you love the belt drive car dos remind me of the movie running on empty great Aussie movie ,I used to race speedway for 7yrs superstocks hard-hitting box section chasis , quick change diff hossier tyres plenty of hours in the shed and plenty of repairs ,ran a stroked Holden V8 ,cam, roller rockers ported heads list goes on she was a bullet in the end went hard as we were limited to 241 c in we de stroked and used 283 Chev rods all balanced ,ran threw a shortened hq box with made manual shifter as we turned box to the top and had gear shifter on top shifter was a Ford 10 prefect as they slotted in nicely hard to get now but worked well ,check out superstock racing in nz will open your eyes lols , cheers , shaneo, nelson,nz, 👍🍺
Thanks for watching again shaneo
G'day Mick, I've only just discovered your channel today. Great work. I'll enjoy catching up on some earlier videos over the next few days.

Awesome content, buddy! Had me cacking out loud with the story about that bolt making it's way into that hole, always the way isn't it.
Sure is 🍺👍
Nice exhaust choice. I went with 3 inch right through long glass packs as mufflers sounded nice.😁.

I do appreciate ya watching.
👍🍺
Great video just shows the man hours to restore cars 👍
🍺🍺👍
very nice and very tough.love it.
Thanks mate I appreciate it. 🍺👍
I had to watch this vid again just coz the nut rolling effect, it's a common thing for me too. And another note, extractors never fit nice, not in my experience, so i tend to do a slippery fit first and make sure they align with the head, before engine is in the hole, some heating and bending is usually required and possibly grinding, you want those pipes fitting nice on the head with gaskets before installation. Some weld slag on the inside could do with a smooth off too will help flow transition if your that fussy. I even go to extreme of ceramic coat on some projects after a f8ck ton of dickin around on extractor fitment. Have fun, i enjoy the quality of the vids mate.
Good stuff from a fellow aussie
Bonito ese Falconcito desde 🇲🇽👍👋🤝🙂
It’s good to see that your not bias between Holden and Ford......or is it Ford and Holden...? Who cares, their both cool.😎
100% 🍺🍺👍

Thanks Bruce I appreciate ya watching.

🇦🇺 i think your videos are bang on. I’m a big Vice grip garage fan and I’m really happy now there is an Aussie I can watch fixing some of my favourite cars. I think the format of your videos is great and the way you have edited them is spot on. I hope you have got some coin and i hope you keep finding cool old aussie cars to work on. I also enjoy how you are fixing what you found. Keep it basically original. I have one question. What region of oz do you live in? Keep the videos coming. 👍🇦🇺. Any way enough talk… get back to work.
Hahahha yep back to it !
Cheers for the comment Derek
Hunter valley NSW mate. As far a $$ go mate I work like everyone else so I do sell some to may for others . You can help out if you like at www.backshed.net.au

Step 5, let future me worry about finishing the task properly 🤣
JK, looks great, painting the engine bay makes a massive difference 👍
Hahahah
I like how you think ! Haha
Thanks for watching and ya funny comment I do like it
wow 13 k subs should be 1.3 mill brilliant
Wow thanks Maria that’s a big compliment, I’ve only been going for 12 months now so ya never now I guess Hahha 🍺🍺😝
Use vice grips to undo the rounded off brakelines instead of the spanner. They crack loose straight away 👌
Will remember that for next time cheers
Very nice
🍺👍
Brilliant!
🍺👍
Agreed on the wiring. I like wiring but hate fixing 40yr old hacked to schmit harnesses etc also re-pinning ECU plugs isn't fun IMO
PS binge watching the upload backlog 👍
Hahhaha thanks mate.🍺🍺👍
Cracking good unreal
Cheers mate 🍺👍
Good video and nice car mate.
I’m subscribed 👍🏻
Thanks Big Al
Heaps more coming. Are you a Ford fan or just cars ? We have some GM products too soon
@@backshed5295 I grew up in a Ford household but I’ve never owned one.. GM for me, but in saying that I like old cars in general and have a real soft spot for XW’s.
@@bigal878 yeah I hear ya if it’s cool I love it , doesn’t matter what make. 👍
Nice car man
Cheers Paul ,
Thanks mate for watching
🍺🍺👍
Get a forklift so handy ideally a 4x4 makes car building so easy. No one seems to take rad support or grill out much quicker. About 15 to 20 mins and its on the floor even without a hoist.
Rad support is welded on these falcons mate mostly only GM product have bolt of front ends.
Thanks for watching cheers
I’d say your brake bleeding issues might be the rubber hose deteriorating and closing over, i had a similar issue recently when putting my grandfathers XB back on the road. Although it was stored in a shed for over 20 years, the rubber gets old.
Top looking rig mate.👍🇦🇺
Thanks man
Very nice, I should do a video of how to fit 2” primaries 4 into 1’s with a 393 Cleveland and C4 already in the engine bay. Mistake I made not laying the drivers side pipe in the bay first.
What a Beauty!
Thanks Jeremy
Cheers for watching mate
🍺🍺👍
Hey bro use a pair of tireWire nips they undo everything ,if it fits the jaws it will undo
between
🍺👍
Get into it
Hell yeah Hahhah
Cheers for watching Steven

Thanks much you bloody legend.
Would be great if you lived closer to me, I'd pay you to do my exhaust on my HQ ss , over some beers also off course LOL
Hello Mick, beautiful car mate. May I please ask the wheel and tyre sizes, and backspacing measurements? Thanks mate
15x6 and 15x8
Both front and back are centre offset ( 0 offset)
Thanks for replying mate. And tyre sizes? Ta, I really like that look (have a '66 2-Door US car)
@@aidanfeighery6634 205 60 15 and 245 60 15 mate
Very nice work! What type of paint and color did you use on the headers?
They are Pacemaker headers mate , that’s just the colour they come new . Obviously it would be some type of extreme high temp paint but sorry mate I don’t know exactly what
Cheers for watching 🍺🍺
@@backshed5295 thank you, gonna search for them here in the States...
They are base here in Queensland Australia and pretty sure are the only company out here that make a good header for CHI performance cylinder heads . Fit perfectly great product 🍺🍺👍
Were all these falcons four door cars?I'm more into 2 doors myself but this ones an exception beautiful car sir
Thanks mate
