Really enjoyed that! My Dad built a XY 351 GT Replica and took me to school in it everyday. Hes a boat guy now and sees cars as money pits, but what i would give to build him somthing similar and have him drive it! Memories! Cheers!

Nice old FALCON 500 ,with the 408 cubic inches ,yes the Cleveland engine can be tricky to build but once built right, the CLEVELAND can be an incredibly powerful beast of a motor

@@backshed5295 even the big selling popular corolla and corona had pushrod camshaft back in the day ..70's ..good blocks those 4 cylinder jap engines ..easy to fix blown head gasket ..? Not that I'm a mechanic but helped fix one ..I remember going to get the head machined back early eighties..got cheap head from wreckers .

Thanks for the garage and hoist dimensions. I am in the process of getting my garage approved and it is 7.5 deep with similar height. I still haven't decided whether a 2 post hoist or 4 post storage ramp is the best way to go as I will be stacking and storing 2 cars 90% of the time.
Yeah no worries Mark , I did put that in there for that exact reason mate , had a few questions about it in the hoist video so there’s a few of us around tryin to sort out the same stuff buddy.

I wish we had kept the Falcon nameplate over here. It’s funny how Aussie guys don’t mind a four door hard top. They actually come with lime Gt performance packs over there did they not? They never did that with a f4 door cars in the US. Those were family cars. The muscle cars were always 2 door hard top. I think it’s cool you guys did that though.
I think the market over here just found 4 door more saleable/ practical so if that’s what sold that’s what they produced. We have very few 2 door cars. 🍺👍

You could go heaps bigger if you wanted to rev it to 6500 or even 7000 but I’m pretty impressed it made 553hp at only 6000rpm and more importantly big torque very early in the rpm.

How do you like the auto compared to the top loader? I've got a 351 and tooader in my xy had it since 1999
I have no real preference mate I love both , one day I might put the Top loader back in because we have plenty of other cars with autos . It’s good that you still have your ol girl after such a long time.🍺👍
