That shrinkage is wild. Question bro, I pull up videos about retwist but they all have to do with starter locs which I don't have nor want. When the two strands are getting old and its time to get them redone, do you just fully undo all the twists, wash your hair, and have everything done again from scratch? Or do you wash with twists in tact and have the stylist freshly redo the parts and each twist? I hope this isn't a stupid question
Had locs for over 8 years: when you just want two strand twists like in this video, but don’t want your hair to start locking, you need to take them out, wash condition etc, and REDO the twists. Not a stupid question at all bro.
Well, I think its because you're looking up the wrong thing. a RETWIST is what people with locs get to retighten their locs, and continue the locking process. You should probably be looking up TWISTOUT or BRAIDOUT. This is how you undo your twists/braids, and let the curl pattern breathe and flow for anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks.
tip for recording. If you can, record with a higher aperture so you can always be in focus. Like maybe around F6-8 rather than like F2. This may cause the vid to be darker but you can decrease the shutter speed and it will even out. Don't decrease shutter speed to the point its choppy but just enough that it is bright enough to be viewable, exposure can be increased while editing. Thanks for the tutorial

I’m not black so my hair doesn’t coil up like yours but could I achieve the same style with curly Mexican hair or would it have to be like my scalp is more visible as too the twists covering it?
