thank you tyler, my mother has now unabandoned me and bought me a whole 3 litres of shea moisture coconut curling cream, i followed this tutorial and i went to school and all the girls were like "did you follow tylers tutorial, bark bark" shit was crazy
Always detangle from end to root! It’ll make it much easier for you to detangle your hair, and reduce breakage. Also, try using something like a denman brush or a tangle teezer to make your life easier when you’re detangling.
@@ramanman9792 I wouldn’t recommend detangling when your hair is completely soaked, only because your strands can stretch and snap. If you need to detangle when wet, use something like a pre-poo or anything that will give you a lot of slip. I use African Pride’s pre-poo and go from end to root with a tangle teezer for thick hair.
@Family van Rensburg Really the only thing you can do is make sure you're retaining length . If you style your hair in twists, flat twisting could help to mask the length disparity! Beyond that, make sure your hair is moisturized and that you still trim away split ends, etc.
bro i done it many times but the way you did it i finally got mine all defined and they all look consistent no puffy twists or anything. Do you know how many twist you actually have, you ever count them? anyways much love and dope video!
I am 64 now. Back in the 90's when I still had all of my hair, I did my own undercut and did my own twists in exactly this style. Until I got dreadlocks with undercut later. I might have been ahead of my time when I was in my 30's? Most were wearing Gumbies back then.
@@ramanman9792With my male pattern hair thinning, I do NOT like that look! Even after I cut my dreads, I tried to grow an afro. Makes me look way older. High and tight bald fade for me!
I know I'm late but how long have you been growing your hair for? I just restarted my hair growth journey so I can have twists on the sides of my head and in the back.
I am trying to learn how to do my boyfriend's 4c hair. I don't even know how to properly take care of my own hair 🙈. But I am going to try to learn to save him some time. I like his hair out as well, so I am going to try to find videos on how to keep 4c hair moisturized, healthy, and long while out sometimes. Wish me luck anyone!
Everyone’s different I just add water and leave in to mine lol and sleep with protective hairstyle me personally I only wear my 2 strand twist maybe a week before I rock my twist out
Yeah it's different depending on who you are. I do mine pretty small (mini twists) and I tend to leave mine in for like a month. Sometimes I get lazy and leave them in for 2 months completely and they can get really tangled up from being in for so long. If you're doing his size twists or bigger, you're probably good to leave them in for about a month if you wanted to, just as long as you remember to wash and condition the twists within the period you keep them in
@@lioamarkai3709 Yeah they tend to a little bit. Mainly just a bit frizzier since you have to work your hands on wet hair. And you might have a little bit of shrinkage. However, it's like having to wash braids essentially. Most people keep braids in after doing like 3 washes for the purpose of hair growth. Really depends on your preference. If you want them to look mainly fresh, then just do it once a week/week and a half and retwist them. If you don't really care too much, 2-4 weeks will be fine.
@@lioamarkai3709 Also i like it when the twists closer to the root puff a bit so it looks like my scalp isn't showing between each twist, especially when I pull my hair back in a bun.
Is there a possible way to do twist with short hair like with hair extensions or something like that or do I have to naturally grow my hair the twist it
You said you will answer questions, so please answer this. Do i need all requirements or if i do the twists without them is good? And when yoy wash your hair is it going to untied like? How long they last when you done them all twists?
Alr I need help.I had the same hairstyle for like 10+years cuz if my parents and idk how to do my own hair.I got 2 strands and my mom is bout to retest but I wanna learn how to do it on my own.Any tips?
