Wouldn’t that buyer be more interested in the Buick Envision then? What would be the point in making the Equinox a rebadged Envision? The refreshed Buick Envision comes with a 2.0T engine and 8-speed standard as well as standard AWD across all trims. Why would the cheaper Equinox mirror that for the price? It’s almost as if people forget *gm* has more than just Chevrolet’s lineup. The have 2 additional brands above Chevy their customers can choose from if they want more options and don’t mind paying for it. Chevy customers just want something adequately powered, reliable, efficient, good looking, good driving, comfortable, tech forward _and_ still affordable.
@@G-Rated The Buick Envision is not based on the new Equinox, only the GMC Terrain is. The Envision is an old chassis, and only got a refresh, not this new chassis Equinox.
@@BoopSnoot That’s inaccurate. Last time the Envision & Equinox shared a platform was the first generation Envision and that ended in 2020. *gm* addressed that with the all-new Buick Envision’s redesign in 2021 when it moved to the Cadillac XT4’s “E2XX” platform. This redesign even further differentiated the 2024 Chevy Equinox from the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision as they share nothing now.
@@G-Rated Its just a facelift of an old chassis either way, poorly reviewed, and as such the Envision is not just the new Equinox with a 2.0T as suggested to be comparable. Fact is, the new Equinox is good, but the engine is a joke. For example, in FWD CVT format, their 1.5T makes 175hp/185ftlbs of torque while getting 26city/28hwy mpg. The identical size and even cheaper priced Rogue in FWD CVT format 1.5T makes 201hp/225ftlbs of torque while getting 30city/37hwy mpg, a far superior powertrain by any measure.
@@BoopSnoot You were wrong about the Buick Envision being a rebadged Chevy Equinox and although the Rogue makes more power the Chevrolet should costs more because it is the superior car. Better fuel economy doesn’t mean better engineered. The new Equinox drives significantly better than the Nissan Rogue with the CVT and the interior and exterior blow it out the water.
If Lyn Lyn Lyn is impressed with the new Equinox, it must be really damn good! And with her seal of approval, I'm going to buy an RS AWD in red/black!! 💯 🎯
I think Chevrolet has a hit here, but I wish they offered a black or white top for both the Active and RS, not just black on the RS and white on the Activ.
According to the Canadian website you can get the 8spd automatic even on the entry model as long as you buy awd definitely mandatory here because we have nasty winter months ciao 😮
I'm an import kinda guy but gotta say this looks very good with the right set of features for the money. This more rugged look is what Chevy needs to be more interesting.
What happened to the engine upgrade for the Equinox? In 2019 I was able to get the 2.0 turbo with 252 HP and the 9 speed trans. Is there a reason they no longer offer that? It looks like the only way to get more power is in the EV version.
Hopefully in a few years when I am ready to buy again this will have something more substantial engine wise. It would easily be a top purchase option for me then.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox and it’s sibling the 2025 GMC Terrain need the following upgrades to be competitive: Replace the 1.5 Turbo with the 2.0 Turbo found in the Cadillac XT4. Add additional interior color choices like Grey and Tan to all trims. Eliminate the Shark Fin on the Equinox and Traverse vehicles. Add an LT2 or Premiere Trim to replace Activ. The Equinox is a daily commuter / school bus alternative / shopping mall / big box hauler. The reason consumers purchase these vehicles is for AWD, interior space, and increased driving height and visibility. If GM makes these changes they will have the potential of increasing sales of both the Equinox and Terrain for 2025 and beyond.
V6 is for midsized vehicles and above. This equinox is a Small SUV right before the Midsize Blazer and the after the Trailblazer CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle)
The 2024 equinox with the same engine but more torque and fwd had 28 mpg combined and 31 highway. The 2025 has the same engine, less torque, fwd and only 27 mpg combined and 28 highway! Backward progress, way to go GM! No thanks on this offering!
I'm not a fan of the white roof, give us something a bit different, give us grey or something similar, a lot of two tone vehicles now offering black or white.
To come out with a newly revised vehicle like this and not include a Hybrid is unacceptable. The MPG isn't impressive and under the skin, this vehicle is a dated piece. Putting a CVT in the FWD version and dropping power is just a cost cutting measure. Once again, this will be pushed off the list of vehicles to consider. GM, you can't kick the can down the road any longer.
Doesn’t need it. This will be much cheaper to obtain than most hybrids on the market in the class and it’s not getting that much worse of fuel economy compared to them either.
The1.5 liter toy engine will not make it up the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee especially with a full load. This Crossover will not sell well, repeat will not sell at all where I live. Because it's missing an engine to power it!
I despise this vehicle, very GM looking (the looks are improved I have been waiting for the faux floating C pillar roofline to die for years!! But since Lyn is reviewing it I want to watch the review!
By GM standards, the Equinox is amazing. However, slap a Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, or Mazda badge on it and it would be considered the worst car in their lineup
I'm glad Lynn got to review this one.
I think an optional 2.0 turbo engine would be a welcome addition to the lineup. With a standard 8 speed automatic transmission and standard AWD.

Great great video video Lyn Lyn!!😸😸
Hahahaha. Thank you!

Chevy has dubbed you ‘Lyn Lyn’ and Lyn Lyn you shall forever be now. 😅
This was the first time I’ve heard Lynn’s Nickname… I love it!😂

Nice 👍
I like the new more rugged looks, great review too.

Lyn Lyn, unique Name
😂 Isn’t Lyn Lyn a Chinese name like Donna Chang in Seinfeld or is it Lin Lin?
They should make a ZR2 trim for this new Equinox to compete with the new GMC Terrain AT4

cant wait for this to be a hybrid in 2027, hopefully that comes a little faster tho
I like this. But I would look at a leftover’24 model that is about $5K cheaper in comparative base model forms.
Hope this is available for sale in Saudi Arabia, as the last one wasn't, even though it would've sold well considering the price.
Would like this vehicle with the V6 engine 🚂 with the 9 speed auto ? Plus A.W..D. for winter conditions ?
V6 is for midsized vehicles and above. This equinox is a Small SUV right before the Midsize Blazer and the after the Trailblazer CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle)
the front facia looks like an Outlander
Love it
Even her Chevy name tag says Lyn Lyn🤣🤣👍🏾
Chevy ❤
Outgoing 9 speed? U mean 6 speed?
Lyn Lyn is a bit more sassy than Lyn Woodward, I like her!

I like the meaty sidewalls on those tires.
Reminds me of the Hyundai Santa Cruz (no bed ofc)
It’s certainly an improvement, but the front looks way to busy and not very cohesive
You must have never seen the Honda CRV or RAV4. 😂
More Mike Danger reviews please.
Klocko Way
How appropriate Lyn Lyn is wearing Pants for Two!!
Why do I feel like she had a wardrobe malfunction and had to borrow the pants from one of her husky male coworkers on the crew at the last minute?
😂
You gotta go to Moab 😂

Deja River
It’s great looking but dump that 1.5 and drop in the stout 2.7 engine.
Audreanne Plain
Looks decent. Needs a lift kit and a real engine…
Looks like a Hyundai Kona
Should be called the Eqinot 😂 cuz I'd rather not 😂😂😂😂
Alicia Plains
Kuphal Parkways
Hey Lyn-Lyn, wanna go for a quick drive in my new Civic Type R?
[wiggling my eyebrows and cigar up and down, Groucho-style]😅
I’ll let you drive :)
Another SUV 😢😢 where is new Chevrolet Camaro ❤❤❤
Kenyon Port
Williams Patricia Anderson Mary Martinez Eric
GM has sold its soul for these very small engines across their production line up. That’s a lot of money for an undersized engine
Blame revised emissions laws
its the same length as the blazer..........
Having no hybrid engine is a big 👎🏼
Doesn’t need it. This will be much cheaper to obtain than most hybrids on the market in the class and it’s not getting that much worse of fuel economy compared to them either.
From this review I can tell this new Equinox is “meh”.
I'm not liking the front grill. Looks like an open mouth
Lame review, why can't you find a u turn or a side road in order to make a turn instead of making excuses
Come on Lyn Say it
It feels like shitty ride.
Needs a hybrid to compete with Rav4. Lazy product.

It's a direct rav4 competitor with same msrp
@@user70331 And you'd have to be a fool to get this over a RAV4, CR-V, or Tucson if it isn't heavily discounted
Lyn, Lyn, so fake. Just use Lyn, that's enough.
This Equinox looks a little more rugged.
Guess you didn't catch it in the video.....Chevy put that on her name tag, as she eluded to in the vid. She just went along with it I guess.
I caught the nametag and thought it was funny. That's why I made the comment.
