I am still searching for a diagnosis and had an EMG/NCS but could feel everything and it was like torture (it made me literally see stars) but the next day, strangely enough, I felt better than usual so I pushed myself (enjoying the moment) and subsequently crashed, big time. On another occasion, an EMG/NCS that put a needle into my thumb muscle caused my thumb to no longer work right. It's been 5 months and my thumb still isn't functioning properly (sort of paralyzed.) I've been told that just "doesn't happen" which is oh so helpful. 🤷

Those nerve conduction tests are dangerous in my opinion. I have not been in as good of a condition since before the test and I was not in good shape then. I have more consistent pain and more numbness.

Early on in the fibromyalgia I used to get electric shocks that would go down my legs as well or in my hips or in my side. I don't really get those anymore I think the pins and needles feeling replaced that.

My skin often feels painful as well.
