The reformulation is wonderful! I work for MAC Cosmetics in Masonville Mall and I’m thrilled with this new formula. Thank you for the good review of the studio fix and also the serum foundation. Both are amazing. And yes… MAC is really upping their game! Just a little side note… please don’t forget the individual stand alone MAC stores. Yes, mighty Sephora has everything but it’s also available in the Bay and MAC stores. I love your channel, Cheryl! I value your recommendation so very much.
The new formula sucks! Is not full coverage anymore and more expensive for a pump. A lot of people looking for a replacement after this been their go to for many years
I used to be nc27 in the old one. I thought the shade would be off so ended up buying nc37 and nc10 so I could mix when I have a tan and when I don't. Now I want nc27 😂 I'm here for the Mac revival! Such an iconic brand
Yay! I'm so happy you love it. It looks beautiful on you! I wore Studio Fix for years but started trying other brands for fun. I always went back to MAC until Nars Light Reflecting foundation and Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow came out. I love this review!! You have now solved my dilemma of several days. NC27 sounds perfect for me! I could not figure out which shade to choose online. Back & forth I would go trying to decide. I used to wear NW20 but I no longer look good with cool tone shades. Risa (Risa Does Makeup) was very happy with this reformulation too! Approval from the two of you is all I need! Thank you! What do you have on your lips? It's beautiful too. My order was just now placed. Yay!! Cant wait to get it.
This looks beautiful on you with both the first and second layer. I have used a ton of MAC over the decades but I have never tried a MAC foundation before so this makes me want to try this.
Thank you so much for this video. The original formula gave me cystic acne and I always wondered why the makeup artists/ sales team at MAC all seemed to have really intense acne. Then I found out that they all had to use the MAC products
I'm going back to M.A.C.... I used to wear C 4.5 ... I was happy with it, but then I heard about the Estée Lauder Double Wear... The coverage was alright but the oxidation is horrible, so it was hard to get a good match. And definitely M.A.C had a good coverage and duration.
I was the SAME color range back in the day too (NC35) and always felt it was semi off. I'm light to medium and always struggle with something being "slightly" too light or too olive-ish medium. Ordered this one, I'm so excited. I can't wait!
This is a great foundation I bought the NARS it’s long wearing but dries way too fast and more full coverage you have to get perfect match but this melts in the skin and u can find up to 2 shade match with Mac I tried nc44 and nc45 both were great
Hi 😊 I'm a bit late past your review, but on time for a new mac purchase. Thank you. Great review, and good to hear, as I'm going tomorrow. Appreciated! You're sweet, knowledgeable and a nice looking young lady. Thanks!
I noticed the shade is a bit darker on serum powered foundation as well, NC30 feels like NC42, so probably I will go with NC25 on that one when I finish it. for now I am mixing it with shade adjusters.
Great video!!! Thank you:) Do you find the shade NC27 in the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation is the same shade as the NC27 in the MAC Studio Radiance Foundation?
Oh I want to try this so badly! As a 43yo, this foundation is bringing back some serious memories. Do you think it works well for dry skin? Unfortunately, while I have dry skin, I don’t love how many of the super dewy and radiant foundations look on my texture and fine lines anymore. Something a bit more satin or matte is usually just a bit more forgiving, if my dry skin can get away with it. Thanks so much!!
Thank you for your review. I've used Mac for many years and haven't heard great thing about the new formula. Looks great on you. I guess I will have to try.
I wish the new formulated foundation worked for me. The shade is completely off and feels so dry on my face, but it looks great on you! I need the old one back.
I think im alone when i say im not a fan of the new formula. I havent used the old formula in probably 10 years but from what i remember it was long lasting, matte & full coverage. This new one is far from full coverage, is definitely not matte and doesnt wear well on me, it also transfers pretty badly. Ive only worn it for 4 days so far and will keep trying it with different primers/powders but so far im not impressed. It actually really really reminds me of the old face & body.
I've been using NC15 for 14+years, the new formulation was not advertised anywhere, I bought NC15 thinking I'm getting the usual one, but now it looks ORANGE on my face, old formula was lovely and natural (NC stands for Neutral Cool, orange is neither!) New formula is great for an Oompa Loompa cosplay. Will not be using Mac Studio fix anymore.
I was hoping for a bit more of a comparison to the Serum Powered foundation! Besides the shades. Thoughts? Face & Body is a top fav of mine for everyday skin tint, so I'm curious about these other 2 as well.
Never tried this foundation … yet .. so I have lots of foundations now.. but do I need a new one? Prob not but do I want to try this one .. umm ya .. looks amazing on you so .. where did you pick it up? On website? Sephora, Mac store( we have one here down in Windsor) or ..
I looked at this foundation at Ulta today and everything in my shade range was too orange. I need a tan olive shade, because I am not a tan orange person. 😂 I may look again at my local Mac counter, but I’m not hopeful.
Grate video u was abole yo get a. Sample of it have. Yet to tray it. Question do you know. What the shelf life is on the daundation thanks for the review loved it
So you are the same nc27 in both serum and new studio fix foundation? I feel we are similar shades. And how do you feel both these options are for mature normal/combo skin. Thanks 🙏🏼🇨🇦
It’s buildable to full. Fully covered my freckles and discolouration on my cheek after two layers. It’s not full coverage right away if that’s what you’re looking for (e.g., Huda Beauty)
The lower cover was something I can accept on the new formula, but the longevity of the this new version is so crap compared to the original, I'm so disappointed.

Of course! Only mentioned it now as I know some fellow Canadians wanted to use their discount during the Sephora Sale! 🎉
What kind of / which primer do you recommend for the studio fix foundation?
No breakouts from this one yet? That’s my number one concern too with foundations. How does it rank with your other faves?
The new formula sucks! Is not full coverage anymore and more expensive for a pump.
A lot of people looking for a replacement after this been their go to for many years
I hope MAC is making a comeback!! I am a MAC girl all the way!!
I hope so too!!! This reminded me how much I loved Studio Fix for the coverage
The shade match is spot on, and the foundation looks beautiful on you! 💕
I used to be nc27 in the old one. I thought the shade would be off so ended up buying nc37 and nc10 so I could mix when I have a tan and when I don't. Now I want nc27 😂

Absolutely hated the old formula but this new formula is everything ! I even wore at the gym & she doesn’t move 😂 even the shades are so much better .
This looks so good on your skin! I especially like the end of day shot with your natural oils poking through, nothing looks broken up, it just glows.
Hello Cherryl, the result of this foundation is perfect for you, magnificent
I just went to MAC in our mall today!!! They were having an event today. I absolutely LOVE the new formula.
I LOVE this new formulation so much. Its so much better than the OG version. I also find it better than too faced BTW matte (RIP)
I’m so happy for this because I felt the same about TF BTW matte. I loved that sooooooo much!
This looks beautiful on you with both the first and second layer. I have used a ton of MAC over the decades but I have never tried a MAC foundation before so this makes me want to try this.
This new reformulated studio fix has become my holy Grail
My friend mona loves this product.
Thank you so much for this video. The original formula gave me cystic acne and I always wondered why the makeup artists/ sales team at MAC all seemed to have really intense acne. Then I found out that they all had to use the MAC products
In my basket lol, I tried the Pat McGrath foundation for the first time and I’m also in love with it.
The yellow shades is always an issue for me. So I will try this one and see how it goes. It looks great on you!
I'm going back to M.A.C.... I used to wear C 4.5 ... I was happy with it, but then I heard about the Estée Lauder Double Wear... The coverage was alright but the oxidation is horrible, so it was hard to get a good match.

I used to love this foundation! Might pick this up from my department store this weekend 🥰
Love this new reformulated foundation!
I would love a tutorial over that eye makeup. It looks simple but very pretty.
I was the SAME color range back in the day too (NC35) and always felt it was semi off. I'm light to medium and always struggle with something being "slightly" too light or too olive-ish medium. Ordered this one, I'm so excited. I can't wait!

Thank you for the kind comments and I hope you love the foundation!
I’ll have to give this a try!! This is everything I wanted the new Urvan Decay foundation to be haha
I bought mine yesterday and I'm so in love with it. Thx for sharing👏😘❤️
Do you have a makeup tutorial on your eye makeup? It looks perfect!!!
Your complexion looks beautiful 😍. What is your lip combo PLEASE
I just purchased this and love it. Its my new favorite! Thanks!

Get a sample from MAC if you are unsure! 🥰
I wish the new formulated foundation worked for me. The shade is completely off and feels so dry on my face, but it looks great on you! I need the old one back.
I know a lot will miss the old formula. I wish the old didn’t break me out 😭
Looks great. Thank you for the in depth review.
I think im alone when i say im not a fan of the new formula. I havent used the old formula in probably 10 years but from what i remember it was long lasting, matte & full coverage.

New shades don’t correlate with the old! I had to swatch a few to finally find my right shade and it’s not what I use to use either 💕
No breakouts from this one yet? That’s my number one concern too with foundations. How does it rank with your other faves?
Omg ! This looks amazing on you 💗🔥🔥🔥 may I please ask your lip combo here , also beautiful ❤❤
I'm medium skin and I use NC35 or sometimes NC37 Love U !!!
I was hoping for a bit more of a comparison to the Serum Powered foundation! Besides the shades. Thoughts? Face & Body is a top fav of mine for everyday skin tint, so I'm curious about these other 2 as well.
I have a dedicated on the serum. Two totally different foundations. Truly opposite for me. Different finish, different coverage.
Looks beautiful! ❤Ana

MAC needs to work on Olive. They finally have neutral, now we gotta see Olive lol
How good is the transfer resistant? Is it better than Estee Lauder stay in place liquid foundation?
Okay I’m sold!!!! 😍😍😍
Grate video u was abole yo get a. Sample of it have. Yet to tray it. Question do you know. What the shelf life is on the daundation thanks for the review loved it
Wait a minute, did the shades change? Pleeeease, somebody tell me
Beautiful 🤩
Cheryl i would love to try it but I have dry skin is it worth for me to get it? Thank you it looks great on you ❤
I didn’t find it drying on me! Worth checking out for sure, but get a few samples for colour matches 🥰
Hey Cheryl, would this foundation be suitable for mature skin? 😀
Haus Labs I love on mature skin!
So you are the same nc27 in both serum and new studio fix foundation? I feel we are similar shades. And how do you feel both these options are for mature normal/combo skin. Thanks 🙏🏼🇨🇦
Great review - thank you! :-D I have the Studio Radiance in NC27 - are the shade exactly the same as NC27 in this new Studio Fix?
Yes. I am the same in both!
@@MakeupByCheryl Thank you, sweetie :-)
I just bought this color and it’s sooooo orange. Yours doesn’t look orange so I’m confused??
How does this compare to Estée Lauder?
For me it’s lighter and more skinlike. Estée Lauder is more full coverage for initial application.
Do you think or did you hear anything about them reformulating your mac😊 fix formula Studio fix foundation powder
Did the new studio fix formula end up breaking you out???
Nope. All good!
Does it still have the same chemical smell as before?
No! Thank goodness!
The coverage is not there, for the price of foundation I just want more. Thanks for the review.
It’s buildable to full. Fully covered my freckles and discolouration on my cheek after two layers. It’s not full coverage right away if that’s what you’re looking for (e.g., Huda Beauty)

❤❤❤❤❤
60$😂
Canadian. Our pricing is wild 🙃
