I just wanted to throw this out there - I am a mom of 3. I lived in a trailer park for many years before we became homeless. We were homeless for almost 4 years. Fast forward to today. I live in a very nice home on 5 acres in WA state. POSITIVE BIG LIFE changes are possible. I could have NEVER in a million years imagined we’d end up here. Always have hope! Keep budgeting & working towards those goals!!!!!

That is when your boys are older and grown up. You can move anywhere and do the jobs that you’re doing right now.

Girl, do I have goals! I want to be debt-free before the mid time of next year which is more than doable. If I can stay my hands off my Affirm account I keep paying part of it down adding more part of it down adding more lol it’s a rolling roller coaster for a while at least in this house, my other dad, I want to get them paid off quickly because I don’t like them lol when I have my husband here before summer of next year because his income will kick in and will astronomically boost our combined income, making it quicker for me to pay off things and faster! I’ve got a wait goal to get to over 120 pounds struggling with that here and there a little bit, but will get that accomplished here hopefully sooner rather than later! I wanna move to Florida in the future hopefully by next year, I hate the state of Missouri. I know Florida’s hot is it as well but I don’t like the fluctuation of Missouri weather, and I never have! Got so many goals. I don’t think I could write them all here lol just imagine it being longer than Santas wish list from the kids from around the world.

The Boise/Treasure Valley area is nice that's near where I live. A lot lower prices than western Oregon, lot's of opportunities and nice folks.

I dont eat out. I can afford it its more about my health because of the high blood pressure diagnosis but ive never been the type to eat out like that i was raised to cook at home. I treat my grandbabies from time to time.

My 1st goal is to pay off $2357 by the end of the year. 1 of these debts has a payment plan that will end in November so I will use what I was paying for that in December to pay off 2nd debt that is also on payment plan. I also want to use my Christmas bonus to pay property taxes for next year $355 and pay off a monthly collection payment I’ve been paying since 2022.

If you're thinking about moving states, I'd recommend the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area. There are a LOT of jobs available that start at decent rates because some pretty big companies are based there (3M, Target, Best Buy, General Mills, US Bank, etc). Wages are high and cost of living is pretty low. I lived there for 15 years and loved it. Only moved for love.

I live in a suburb of Minneapolis. It is a great place, good jobs but the cost of living is definitely not low! Housing is expensive as is childcare. I pay $5,000 a month between housing and childcare.

I can agree and disagree for years I didn’t have spending money and I had to learn to be ok with it. This is just recent that we added in money for ourselves. I do believe I deserve it now

I have a goal to pay my car off early. It isn't $700/mo like you, but I pay more than my note amount as well. I was doing several savings challenges at once, but stopped & am now doing the 100 envelope challenge only. I'm low income so I won't be that person stuffing multiple envelopes each pay period, & that's ok. My plan is to make principle payments with whatever's stuffed, every 6 months.

It would be great if you found a remote job and could maybe increase your income and get benefits. My job went fully remote during Covid and stayed remote. My coworkers moved to GA, SC, PA and other states. My goal as you know is to get out of consumer debt💜💜

I currently have state health insurance. I actually can’t afford insurance even if I was to work for someone. I do have a Roth IRA. I have been contributing to as well. I actually called Broker and Georgia and the housing market. There is pretty darn high like mine, but the nice thing about that area would be the opportunity for jobs.

Very true. Most jobs here don’t pay enough. If I was to move to Tampa, Florida Compliance jobs in Medicare/ Medicaid fields pay up to $80k. Just the thought of moving is daunting.

$50 is not much at all! Dave Ramsey says if you want it in the budget, put it on the budget. Lol It’s tough to move away when coparenting. That’s why we didn’t bc we want to be involved as much as possible in my step daughter’s daily life.
