Hey y'all! We hope you enjoyed this look back at what we've been up to lately. :) To see our favorite must-visit restaurants in Galveston, please visit: rvtexasyall.com/foodie-travel/galveston-restaurants . See you Wednesday!
Fun video. You are right Jamica Beach Rv Resort is a fantastic place to winter. We look forward to our winters with all our friends. Also thanks for giving us the tip on the hidden place to eat gypsy joint. Food was fantastic and the building was very cool.
My sister had a beach house there a few years ago. Grew up going to Galveston island every weekend. My oldest went to A&M on the island. My happy place.
I Like the "Be the Ball" Ref! Nice :-) Yah the People in Texas are Wonderful! We took a cruise out of there and the folks we met there were so nice. You guys have me excited to check out the RV parks there. You can keep the line dancing.. dancing With the girl is better than dancing by yourself.
Howdy Y'all ☕️! Great list of places to eat and things to do on the website, many are our favorite go-to as well! We like to say Galveston is Texas' hidden gem, unlike Florida's Key West, just much more accessible! Happy Trails & Safe Travels!
Loved it, great job! Makes us wish we were back in Galveston. Great meeting y'all down there and thanks for the help and the fun.... till next season keep safe and keep healthy.
Thank you for another great video. I have lived in Texas since Dec. 82. I have been to a lot of places in Texas, but not to Galveston. Now I have added Galveston to my travel bucket list. I can’t let you guys have all the fun, LOL. Paul from Texas
Looks awesome. We winter in Mission TX and have been to Jamaica Beach Resort several times. Ron and Dora are awesome invited us to church and ate lunch after. They treat everyone like family.
Good video. We were there for a couple of days last week when the wind was blowing 25-30 mph. Watched the parade from outside The Saltwater Grill. Good times. Wanted to come to meet y’all but decided no one in their right mind would be outside in a 25 mph wind. Next time.
Started my career at Unitervisty of Texas Medical Branch there on Galveston Island. Spent a hurricaine traped in one of the towers doing medical care after a hurricaine, sleeping on the hallway floor , warm lunch meat sandwiches or peanut butter and jelly......lol....but I loved my time there. Will be spending every other November thru January there starting in 2021. Hopefully will meet you there.
Hey Jackie!! Hurricane duty on the island... now there's an adventure! We can't wait to visit with you in person down here. Keep us posted on your plans as Nov '21 gets closer!
Hey, Love that red Goliad hole-in-one shirt. We love Galveston and plan to try Jamaica Beach one of these days. Have a safe and fun trip East....Howard & Betty.
Great Video ! Loved That House Visit ! Wow! The Place looks beautiful! Love to see a longer video about it! :) Y'all know I'm from Florida. I've been freezing the last yew years in Michigan Winter's because my Father was Terminal! He passed finally last year, along with my Chinese Pug "Joey Bear! But anyway, fixin' to be heading back to my brother's in Orlando, hopefully soon here ! My Sister lives in Dallas. Been there since the 80's! She Love's Galveston! :) Says we need to see The Gulf, from the other side! Lol! While I tell her, she needs to come see The Atlantic Ocean from "The Treasure Coast"! Lol! :) Joey Bear and I were in Houston an passed thru Galveston to visit the Beach for "Part of a Day"! Bear always loved the Sand! :) Anyway, great video! Keep up the wonderful work! :)
@@rvamericayall Thank you for your Condolences y'all. I appreciate it! :) Hope to eventually get to visit Bishop's Palace myself! Take care, an be safe out there! :)
We are hoping that the sun and the moon align or however that goes. Our plan is to sell our house and stay in Galveston for the winter. One of our bucket list places to visit is La Porte to see the San Jacinto battlefield and museum. There is a lot of history in that area. Wish us luck in selling our house quickly. Great video.
I saw the title to this episode - thinking we need to go back, I want to go to Gaidos - starting playing and where are you parked but right in front of them! Too funny.
Welcome to town! Living here now 35 years. The only thing I hate about Galveston is the brown murky water. We get that Mississippi mud that flows down from Louisiana. How you enjoy your stay.
Oh my goodness. That is what we have been working on is moving Brian's folks into assisted care and healthcare living right amid our downsizing and sale of our ranch we moved them from Iowa to Texas so they are new residents of TX. April 30th is coming fast. As soon as we downsize our buyers want to close so we are working hard on it. We plan to winter in TX as our daughter and son in law and grandson and new granddaughter this May will be born as well as both our parents. My dad has been a winter Texan for about 28 years he resides in McAllen for a minimum of 5 months up to 6 months.
We wondered if anyone would notice. You can see clearly through them with no obstruction of vision. Of course, we would never really drive with them on, but it was no big deal moving 30 feet at a crawl.
Love your videos. What is the average temperature during the month of January & February ? Also, what does it cost monthly for Jan., Feb., & March at the Jamaica Beach RV Resort ?
Thanks so much! Here’s a link to the rates page on the Jamaica Beach website: www.jamaicabeachrvresort.com/index.php/rates/ . February can sometimes be foggy on some days. We’d say that temps that time of year are typically in the 50s-60s with the occasional day lower than that.
I’m sorry , after visiting the El Campo lost lagoon, I wasn’t really impressed wit Jamaica Beach RV resort. It felt run down, I did see however another one that I will try. But not sure I’ll go back to that one until they do some repairs, the pool was actually peeling off and had tiles missing.
Sorry you had that experience, Jessaca. We've never had a disappointing visit there. The family that owns Jamaica Beach RV Resort and their staff are constantly working to improve. They resurfaced the lazy river this winter. There are several nice options on Galveston Island. Thanks for letting us know that you like El Campo Lost Lagoon.
I grew up in Houston and family had a beach house in Palm Beach near the water and 2 miles from Jamaica! Should I visit? When I saw GUIDO'S I had tears, fam restaurant ....
When I lived in Houston I used to roller blade on that sea wall. I'm considering when I go full time if I should buy a pad and a post for 4-5 months meaning buy a lot and install utilities and an rv roof. Maybe on 2 acres and rent it out when I am not there. Thoughts?
There are plusses and minuses both ways. Having property as a home base would give you somewhere you could always come back to, and renting it out while you're not there would be a great way to help offset the costs. But it also gives you somewhere to maintain, upkeep and pay taxes and things on.
@@rvamericayall thanks. 15 years in Houston. Texans are the nicest people I have ever met, the women are the most beautiful in the USA, and TexMex is the best. It's really going to be hard choosing Texas or Florida as my domicile.
I've been to Galveston thousands of times, since I grew up in the Texas City / Galveston area. By the way Tom / Stacey are you going to be in the Houston / Galveston area in the latter part of May? I'm flying into Houston on May 11th from Melbourne Australia and would love to get together and compare and contrast the U.S. and Australia.
Good morning! ☀️ Many of these awesome places are unfortunately NOT “child friendly. “ I was grateful to the Almighty to learn after watching ur video, & checking the website that they do indeed allow children to go, & pets. I have a teenager, & a child under 10. We plan on getting a dog soon. If u know of any other places that are kiddy, & doggy friendly, please let me know.

Hi there
We are from El Paso, TX and did spend 2 weeks at the JBR last Summer. My wife and I loved it and we plan to go down there this year again.

We were down in Galveston twice last year, in May and October. Really enjoyed our visits there. 😍

Driving with the window blocks on😁👍

Maybe one day Bill! :)
