Thanks so much for your video. My family will be coming down there on May 29, 2023, and we will be stating as long as we can . I can't wait. It is only 30 days from today, April 29, 2023. We really need this vacation.
Excellent tour! Just called and made reservations and told them we watched your video on RUclips and decoded to book right then! Such a great tour thank you!!!!
Just was there this weekend! LOVE this place. Great for families! Ton's of activities. Will definitely return!!! Management is phenomenal! They "kids" spray pad has been upgraded, has a "playground" with big barrel that fills with water and "dunks" the kiddos! The lazy river is awesome! We have returned many many times and will continue!
Love it, a 5th Gen native Texan about to full time RV, but have never seen the TX coast, maybe someday, iwill look for boondocking or cheap RV spots, on SS
OMG!!! I want to go there. Maybe next summer we are only about 5 hours from Galveston so we will be checking this place out for sure. Thanks for the great tour.
Jamaica Beach RV Resort is absolutely worth adding to your list. We have loved every visit since our first stay here back in 2013. Great folks and tons of amenities.
Hey!! Thanks too you we are going to stay at Jamaica Beach with our Buddies this 4th of July! Hopefully, this will be one of our many favorite destinations, thus far.
I drove through this in 2020 and it looked like a unkept dive. Nothing was mowed, many old full timer campers that didnt look transportable. Pool didnt look good and I think it was closed. You also stacked up but I guess they all are down there.
I guess I’m going to actually have to go stay at this rv park to understand why everyone says it’s so great. We have friends that love it. I’ve driven through it a couple of times and just don’t understand the allure. I mean . . . I’m staying on Galveston island (the beach is king) but everything this park has to offer could be on a plot of land north of Lubbock. It takes no advantage of natural resources Galveston has to offer (beach). Again, I’m willing to give it a shot! I’ll call it my research project. Go Coogs!
You made a awesome video also this is my first time hearing about this Jamaican Beach RV we are new to the RV life so we have a lot to understand and learn we going to pretty much travel throughout the State of Florida for about one year Jamaica Beach RV looks really really nice.
Hi! We hope that y'all enjoy RVing as much as we do. We look forward to exploring more in Florida. When you make it over to Texas, be sure to put Jamaica Beach RV Resort on your list of places to stay. We love it there. 😁
The video started very well and easy to hear what was being said. Once you started showing the park the voice audio dropped too low to be able to understand at the volume that was set at the beginning. To turn up the volume is to make the music too loud. Looks like it may have been a good place to stay, but the bad volume destroyed the quality of watching it to learn about the park. Is there another video about this place? We are looking for a place down that way for extended stays with our fifth wheel trailer.
Sorry you had trouble with the audio, Bruce. Here's another video we posted a couple of years ago about wintering at Jamaica Beach RV Resort: ruclips.net/video/SFfbcAR9vwM/видео.html
i camped there in the late 1980s, i owned a new pop up apache solid state camper , AC and tinted windows. that was a fun little camper. as the kids got older, i up graded to a self contain 26 foot ?, apache. i like jamaica beach better than steward beach.
Not really Tammy. There is a small local grocery store and seafood restaurant about a quarter of a mile from the resort. There is a trail that will take you about half of that (folks use it to get from the resort to the beach access). But the rest of the way would be on the shoulder of the Bluewater Highway. It's not a terribly busy road, but sometimes folks drive pretty fast on it. So although it has a good shoulder, I don't think we would want to ride our bikes on it.
Are the pools heated in the winter? Very nice park! I will have to check it out sometime. It would be nice if you shared information about how long you stayed and what it cost you to stay. Thanks for sharing! Safe travels!
Hi Debra! Yes the pools are heated. They also have an indoor hottub. We’ve stayed there many times since 2013. We have gone there at least once a year since then. Their website is www.jbrv.net so you can check their rates.
Always enjoy your videos. Do you know the difference between Standard, Deluxe and Premium sites? I couldn't find a description on their website. Would this be a good spot to snowbird as far as the weather? Thanks. Dave,
+DenaliDaveB Thanks Dave! As far as the different types of sites, we believe the Premium sites are primarily end sites that have more green space next to them. All of the Standard sites are located in the original section of the park. Not sure, but we think Deluxe sites are a little bigger than standard. This is a popular park amongst snow birds. The weather in Galveston dips into the 30s maybe 2 or 3 times, but is typically 40s & higher (actually probably 50s & higher most of the time). Here's a link that shows recent weather by month in Galveston... m.accuweather.com/en/us/galveston-tx/77550/month/331114?monyr=1/01/2017.
RV Texas Y'all Thank you for answering my questions. I hope to snowbird when my wife retires. She said she's up for that. I Would love to get out of the Indiana winters. Lol, although the last few years haven't been too bad. My dream is to full time don't know if I can talk my wife into that. Thanks again. Dave,
@@rvamericayall oh, OK because there’s this electric RV startup that just unveiled an electric motorhome that can transform into a 400 square-foot home. See the slide on one side expand 2 feet like regular but then there is another wall that extends out 8 feet on the other side to make a full blonde living room, and then there is the rear that extends out also 8 feet to make a bedroom. This RV is supposed to enter production in 2025. That is if it comes to fruition. Now, with that, if I were to buy that thing, it looks like I need to book 2 campsites, next to each other
@@rvamericayall I was just curious the video showed you both on the inner-tubes in the water so was wondering who was filming. Have you guys thought about using a drone to do aerial pictures? I'm thinking about getting one when I start RVing. You guys look like you're having to much fun and that's no fair lol.
We have an extension that we can put our waterproof camera on. We've thought about a drone. Maybe one of these days. :) We're having a great time. Hope to see you out there one of these days!
It is a PHENOMENAL place to RV with the grandkids! Tons for the whole family to enjoy right there in the park. 3 generations of the family who own the park live and work there. It is very family friendly.

Do you know if there is fishing in the pond?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone fishing in it. But we did notice on our last trip that they have added a little pier on one side. You might ask.

plaining a trip to Galveston in May but staying at Stella mare rv resort what are your thoughts
Stella Mare is a nice park. Very clean, very easy to get around, well run, convenient to everything in Galveston and nice pool. Enjoy!
The RVs are a little close together no?
Just about the same as most RV Parks around the nation?? 🤷♂️

Hi April. No, this park was not damaged by Harvey.

You can fit a 45’ rig. The roads aren’t huge. But it’s definitely do-able and the sites are big enough.
