I like that you are honest about it, even pointing our the cons. Thank you for that.
This is so far the best type of light camping, well done.
I really love this, not too big and perfect size for me. Plus, the inside doesn't look outdated.
Doesn't look outdated, yet - It'll look really outdated by the time a person pays off the $41,000 ($34,000 + Taxes, Fees, Interest, Etc.)
I thought those clouds looked familiar. Keep up the good work. Fridge nice for cool, midnight snacks.
I love seeing what is available. I have been thinking about what I am going to do when I retire. And seeing what I can do with what I have. I still have a few years in me.(Unless I have to leave due to required pokes) Thanks as always.
When it’s time, come see me!
Once again Brad, YA DID GOOD!!!
CARRY ON!!!
Thank you!
Thanks again Brad, good review
Managing to get a bathroom and shower in that unit was impressive.
I like the very specific reference to accommodating a CPAP machine😄👍
Its perfect wow and fits a shortbed amazing
First time viewer .... Excellent job! Great campers....we had a Lance years back, they are made well. Perfect size for weekend w/fam...or singles longer term. Now, let me grow my finger nails...so I can open those side caps....funny as well. What else can folks want?!?
Welcome aboard, Chris!
Great video, very honestly presented..kudos
Thank you!
Best review ever. Love the honesty (and still love the camper)
Thank you for watching!
Great job bud thanks.
That is a super nice rig. Thanks Brad. Hope you are well young one. Take care.
Thank you, you as well!
Excellent presentation.....
This is one of the better layouts I've seen in a truck camper. I would still rather just get a small towable but if you want one of these, this would do nicely.
So there is a latch on the bottom of the rear awning to make it easy to get to the sewer hose holder. I have a 2022 and do it weekly with no issues. The legs disconnect from the camper to secure to the ground for better wind security.
And Football games. This guy is legit.
I like this guy he referenced beer twice. 🍺Cheers🍺.
Prices on the slide ins are insane
The 650 is the best full hard side with a bathroom 1/2 ton Capable camper on the market better then the nucamp that only has a little toilet no shower ! Ford worked with lance to make the 650 1/2 Ton capable
Glad to hear it. I always was sold on Lance and I’ve never heard anything to change my view.
Don't ever plan on getting another truck. If I do, it'll be a dually but with what I have, for well over 15 years, this one is perfect. I can still pull my bike too. Come purchase, you are 1st on the list bro.
Sounds like a plan!
I like it thanks
My wifes sold on this one. She doesnt have to leave the bed to grab me a beer:)
🍻 😄
what was lance thinking on the sewage hose placement not opening due to awning and putting a shower next to the 30amp power source..screwed the pooch on this ones. As always awesome vid Brad.
your a genius :)
Get rid of the giant couch and table. Put a full size fridge and half the couch. The rest of the family sleeps outside.
The beer fridge is in the perfect location!!!
No lies detected! 😄 🍺
Great video as usual Brad. Very entertaining and informative. Who is your favorite football team if you have one?
My family is from Tuscaloosa, AL so I grew up an Alabama fan. I’m a misfit here in TN, but you couldn’t pay me to wear that 🍊 🤣
Was actually in Tuscaloosa this past weekend visiting the family!
on demand water heater YES!
The Truma Tankless Water Heater is now an option for 825-1172 for 2022!!!
Fridge could have faced the dinette above the useless magazine rack!
Does Maine have this truck camper because I love to have this 😅
Lol why would you put a magazine rack in a camper?
I agree, it could be switched with the cabinet that overlooks the dinette…if you have a thick comforter on the bed, the fridge placement becomes tricky.
Nice!
You talked me out of buying one but I loved the video. :)
Well at least one positive come from the video, you liked it lol
Is there an electrial panel AC/DC .not sure if outside receptable at rear was GFCI.
Very cool😎
Will these work for the 2010 to 2022 Nissan X-terra/Suzuki Equator V6 trucks?
(I believe it's a 6ft bed)
Thanks🙏
Hey! I usta work at ranger in cotter, hot job i rolled resin, but only for a few weeks.
Brad, I didn’t hear you say or see the four season label on this camper, just wondering. Thanks for your video.
650 is the only Lance Truck Camper in the line up that is not Four Season Certified
Ok, I’m watching again. I’ve got an older Ford F-250 diesel short bed. It’s usually time to get new vehicles but last year’s models-might have worked with campers but I sure don’t know. RV’s took off and times have changed, haven’t they?
Sure have, I’m trying to find a truck for mine 😬
really good sales man LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can you put this on the new F-150 lightning?
I camp boondock style and I think they should have this 1 generator equipped or at least wired and a compartment ready for a generator, cause I can bring extra propane in camper but boondock without generator can't use air conditioning or heat or microwave or fridge for long, but that is only complaint i have.
I believe it’s not an option due to weight and these being aimed towards the 150/1500 series Shortbed market
This is Perfect if you need to tow a bass boat behind..
Clear and fun presentation. You are in TN--I just bought a boat in Winchester and towed back to S Arizona. Now I need a camper like this to lodge in for long trips out West in ski country. Will my truck be ok with this unit? 2014 Ram 1500 2 wheel drive//Plate inside driver door says 'combined weight of cargo should should never exceed 1760 lbs'. Does this mean I need to add springs to truck? Or maybe flat out I need to move up to a 2500? I appreciate your expert guidance. Much thanks, Rich.
May want to move up to a 250/350
I just received word that Lance no longer has a 150/1500 rated truck camper
I contacted Lance and they referred me to a local dealer in Melbourne that never called me back. I'll keep you in mind when I order. Tennessee is not that much farther from Miami.
I have someone from FL picking up a 2022 Lance 855s they custom ordered through me next week! Definitely keep me in mind 🙌🏼
Liked and Sub'd.
Welcome aboard!
This is a great camper but man does that price really make all the difference
Nice! and the Frig is just fine..
I thought so too lol
If they would stick a dom-medic freezer in the dining seats, would be perfect. In addition to the small fridge.
I've wondered about sitting a 12-volt chest-style fridge/freezer under the window on that part of the bench - most likely no one will be sitting there anyway.
The 650 is a nice little camper. I wish it came winterized, but that would likely result in it being too heavy for stock half-ton trucks.
Already pushing it for some for sure
Already way overweight for a HALF TON.
@@davebrown4841 You'd want to beef up your suspension.
yeah, it's already too heavy. it's at 90% of my 1500 silverado's payload already empty. Doesn't leave much to bring clothes, food, bikes, etc so it's a no-go for me.
Prices are insane. Just need a bed and a bucket
I think when you go to demo the outside shower you should say "Here's your outside shower, for those that want to be one with nature" hahahahaha! Great Rig, great video, thank you sir! 😁👀🏳️🌈
Let's not make Brad get too big of a head on his shoulders, he might try out the outdoor shower wearing only a Banana 🍌Hammock!🏃💨💨💨💨"Run for the hills"
@@ericdee6802 g-string lol
@@itsbrad "YIKES"!!!! 😂
I like to crank one manually all the time 4:27
A casette toilet is essential.
How much is the 650?
I have a 2013 raptor that I hope will fit into..
good morning, I would like to ask you how many kg your living cell weighs, thank you from Italy
Does the tankless water heater just use Propane or could you use AC instead if you are at a campground/RV park? If not is the tank option still available and on which models?
Gas or a/c option
Yes, the 6 Gal water tank is still an option for 825-1172 models
And replace the two burner with the two burner conviction/ oven combo instead of storage below.
Hey brad? So on the 5.5ft beds do I have to remove the tailgate for this lance 650? Or will it fit with the tailgate down? First time buying a truck camper soon just doing homework. Like all your vids very informative.
Yes, tailgate needs to be removed. Reason being is I believe it would put too much stress on tailgate 😬
@@itsbrad cool man, thanks for the info!!
The Toyota Tundra is built in Texas and has been for years. Most of the components for the Ford 150 are built overseas and installed in the US.
I own a Tundra and do not care, it is still called an import lol where does the money go?
Can I tow my 18' boat with it on my truck?
Let’s go *****+
From Calgary
Is that a Alaska cold bug out camper
Can’t you get a wood stove instead of the propane heater?
Wood stove not an option with Lance
Wouldn’t that weight not fit those trucks you mentioned
as a large man 350ish am i right in having concerns about any cab over bed style camper/rv? or am i good? like i feel like my big ass would break the whole bed and front cap clean off the rest of the camper.
like maybe not just myself up there but what if the mrs. and i are both up there? is it gunna hold up to two fatties fuckin? genuinely curious.
I know it’s been asked and answered several times but damn why are truck camper more costly than pull behind campers?
I have a 6.5’ bed on a F150... Could I leave the tailgate ON the truck, and possibly close it while camper is on the truck for additional security? To still be able to haul when camper is it unloaded?
Absolutely not
@@muddyguns - exactly, just gotta look closely at how the camper wraps around the rear fenders.
LOL I'm gonna try and fit this on a 95 chevy s10.
I backed my Tacoma to one before when I had some spare time, my bed was too narrow lol
@@itsbrad well that answers my question haha
I would get one for my truck if I could afford it and if my truck ran better
I can’t even find a truck for mine lol
Hi, lance not really clear on the bed size. Is the Ford’s f-150 5.5Ft bed okay for this? Lance says “short bed” but 6.5 is short bed and 5.5 is short bed? So 5.5 ft bed fits?
Yes, fits the 5.5 better
@@itsbrad just curious, why it fits the 5.5ft f-150 bed better vs. the 6.5. Please let me know, thank you Brad! I will be ordering soon.
I just ordered my f-150 5.5ft bed and I still have sometime to maybe switch it to 6.5 if needed. That’s why I’m asking.
Thank you!
Is there any storage under the dinette seating?
Great question! Under the dinette seat is where you’ll find the battery and main power disconnect! Behind the cushion up against the wall is a hidden storage compartment! 😃
What's the price?
I have a chevy 1500 long bed. Do they make something for that?
Nothing in current production yet
tacoma?? 5.5ftbed? are their any good campers for my tacoma? love these Lance campers!
I read that Lance is working on a prototype!
@@itsbrad hopefully its a popup camper with a bathroom
If you go by manufacturer it’s for the 250 & 2500
Over 2 years ago when I did the video, Lance was aiming towards the 150 market. That has since changed in the past year and these aren’t really designed for a 250 being that they were made for a 5 1/2 bed. Lance is now in the works of a 150 camper called the 805
How come 🤔 12v AC are't use more on camper!!??
I have one on my camper (2024 Lance Enduro) still don’t know how I feel about it. I think the regular ac unit I had on my Truck Camper was better.
Will this fit a Nissan Frontier Pro X? Thank you
Way too heavy for that. Few half-tons can even carry this. They call it half-ton capable but in reality, you need a half-ton that has special payload enhancing options. The payload is everything on the axles including the driver and any cargo so you would need well over 2k pound payload to haul this.
How much is it
Wish to know how much?
Poo tank or beer can storer? Not sure I want to understand about that . . . ???
Same lol
I have a Chevrolet Colorado crew cab truck, year 2021. Is it possible to attach this Camper 650?
No Truck Camper’s for the midsize market yet
@@itsbrad scout yohoo
@@kersonperez1003 I sell Lance, I was referring to Lance lol
Is that the correct propane tank? Its laying on its side. Of not it is not venting right and a safety issue.
Yes, they’re custom made tanks just for the 650’s
lance 650 will not legally fit on an f150 because the wet weight of the camper without any passengers or any other weight is over the gross vehicle weight limit. anyone who tells you otherwise is misinformed. please correct me if i am wrong because i really want the f150/650 setup
Theoretically a specifically equipped Ford, V8, 2 wd might squeak it.
Shout out to all my freaky people!
Love it! Lol
Is that unit or a similar one still available?
All customer orders
Wow, before this one I watched the 2023 version. This, one year ago was 33,000. Now it starts at 49,000. Wow. 50% rise?
Yeah, I only order the 650 as requested now due to price.
Laughable price, obviously.
Can anyone splain how a 2000# camper can ride on a half ton truck?
In the bed
@@itsbrad LOL XD
Can you lose the dinette and replace with recliner?
Not through the factory
@@itsbrad and not through the door.
@@2centsworth766 lol, true
Can I live in this I mean like you know sometimes for few months a year maybe.. 11 months or so?
Buddy of mine is doing it for the last two years, he goes up and down/left and right to the coast on this.
Follow your
Why is it so expensive?
Question. Can it be used while not on a truck.
Absolutely, that’s primarily how I use mine 😬
@@itsbrad Thank you. Good to know.
Does this lance 650 fits in a Tacoma. ?
😊👍🌹
Do they make a 650 with a cassette toilet?
Not currently
You can use a Camco 39000 Rhino Heavy Duty 15 Gallon Portable RV Waste Holding Tank for this purpose. Better than 5 Gallon cassette.
Me farst Views farst comments farst 👍 zabrdast from Pakistan
2000 LBS ON A 1500?
no way jose, too much weight for 1/2 tons, do the math once you are fully loaded!!!!!
Don’t put it in one then, that simple
What is the price.?
$35K plus
^^^
How much for what you just showed ?...
The 650 starts around $35k
Prices start at $35,000.00!! You've got to be kidding!
Yes, now they start at $40k… $35k was so last year 🫠
Tundras are built in Texas, I guess Brad doesn't realize it's not another country.
I do know this actually. However, they’re still known as imports
They’re just assembled in Texas, just like everything else Made in America
Right here in San Antonio...wouldn't buy one though....
Love Tundras. We’ve owned several. Last forever!
